THE SONG OF THE NASTURTIUM FAIRY

Nasturtium the jolly,
O ho, O ho!
He holds up his brolly
Just so, just so!
(A shelter from showers,
A shade from the sun;)
'Mid flame-colored flowers
He grins at the fun.
Up fences he scramgles,
Sing hey, sing hey!
All summer herambles
So gay, so gay--------
Till the night-frost strikes chill,
And Autumn leaves fall,
And he's gone, willy-nilly
Umbrella and all..

Good....Morning!..... My name is Evelyn, but it seems that everyone calls me Evy! I am so excited about finally meeting all of you!........

I met Star through the internet, and we have been such close friends!........... Let us see if there are any favorites for the fairies!

Sandy says, that there really are not any favorites, for the faieries in this letter. They seem to enjoy them all

The flowers for this letter are:
NARCISSUS--------------Egotism, Formality, Stay as Sweet as You Are
NASTURTIUM-------------Conquest, Victory in Battle
A rather short list!

The Herb list is rather short also! NETTLE----------the herb should be collected when the flowers are in bloom!

Nettles are one of the most widely applicable plants we have. They strengthen and support the whole body.

NIGHT BLOOMING CEREUS-------- This herb has an excellent reputation as a heart tonic, expecially for problems related to nerves and debility.

However, it is virtually unobtainable in Great Britain today.

THE SONG OF THE ORCHIS FAIRY!

The families of orchids,
they are the strangest clan,
With spots and twists resembling
a bee, or fly, or man;
And some are in the hot-house,
and some in foreign lands,
But Earoly Purple Orchis
in English pasture stands.

He loves the grassy hill-top
he breathes the April air;
He knows the baby rabbits,
he knows the Easter hare,
The nesting of the skylarks,
the bleat of lambkins too,
The cowslips, and the rainbow,
the sunshine, and the dew.

OAK---------------- In British folklore ancient, hollow trees (called bull oaks in England, bell oaks in Scotland and Ireland) are trees that stood in old sacred groves.

They were often believed to be the home of spirits, elves, fairies or demons. You were supposed to turn your coat or cloak inside-out to neutralize their magic:

"Turn your clokes............. For fairy folks ......................Are in old oakes."

OLEANDER-------------------Caution

ORANGE BLOSSOM-------------Innocence, Eternal Love, Marriage and Fruitfulness

ORANGE MOCK----------------Deceit

ORCHID---------------------Love, Beauty, Refinement, Beautiful Lady, Chinese Symbol for Many Children

ORCHID (CATTLEYA)----------Mature Charm

Cpt.Blood is on his way over and he asked that I let you all know! Thank you for sharing this page with me. I think Star is hoping to have us all together at the end to have a farewell party for the Cap. Blood, so if I do not see you before then......I Hope that You Have a Very Special Walk In Our Garden!
