Fossils That Illustrate How Life Forms Evolve

Fossils can tell people what animals and any type of life form lived
before our time. Fossils have made it so people know that evolution
is real. Studies of living animals and plants give very good proof
that fossils give us evidence that life has evolved from simple forms
to more complex forms. There is a science that can look at how fast
or how slow evolution through long periods of time can go. Geology
looks at strata of our earth from one upon another in the past. Paleontology
studies fossils remains that can make evolution a fact. Evolution
tells us that living things we see on earth today did not just appear out
of nowhere, but they were made over many years by very slow
changes from organisms in the past. Life on earth has evolved from
the past. Fossils show how things today have evolved from things that
lived millions of years ago. Human beings evolved over many years from
people who looked like apes. Even though many things have evolved,
many have also died off. The ones that survive changed or adapted
to life on earth. Evolution shows us that there has been a succession
in the typed of things that lived throughout time starting with one celled
plants and animals. Fossils are not found in the same aged rocks
as rodent fossils. In the oldest rocks only small life forms are there.
Finding out the age of something is done by radiometric dating.
Radiometric dating is based on how fast or slow things decay in the
rocks.
