What is it? In 1998, I began the plans for a story revolving around a character named "DarkAngel" (which at the time was also my online name) who lived in a world that was without hope...Earth, in the C&C: Tiberian Sun™ universe. At first, the story was incredibly bland and had only the fact that DarkAngel was a malfunctioning cyborg with a mind of his own. But this story was already used by many, and it would only end up a copy of the TS storyline, which is something I didn't want. In 1999, I began work on the general plot of the story, thanks to the help of a friend. I borrowed a segment of a fan fiction piece he was writing and tired to write my story around that, but it didn't work. A couple weeks later, and I completely dropped my friend's segment and worked on an independent storyline. A year passed, filled with new ideas and revelations for "DarkAngel"; He now had a real name: Marcus At'ake Dracon, and he was no longer a cyborg, but a GDI scientist. At first, his family heritage was splintered; I found myself trying to join storylines from others that made no sense at all. I realized that if I was going to get anywhere, I would need to make my own family history. DarkAngel then became the son of a Dragonian, and emperor at that, named Arturus, and a mother without a name at the time. Now I needed it all to make sense by actually combining it and playing out the story over and over in my mind. Details became even more apparent towards the beginning of 2000, with more characters being introduced into the storyline: An old ninja by the name of Yoshimitsu and his Manji Ninja Clan (inspired by the game series Tekken), a spunky Cybertronian by the name of Cheetor and his friends Silverbolt and Blackarachnia, and a few characters from the original story of TS. It wasn't a cheap rip-off anymore, now it had character. Soon more characters, including the antagonist of the story, Kane, were put in or created...as well as an event that would change Marcus' life forever; his "death". After the idea was finalized for the story "Lone Soldier", I moved on to it's continuation some twenty years later called "Janus Vortex". Now, Marcus had progressed much more form his original drab-self, becoming more of a darkened figure, surrounded by torment and death. The characters from other storylines now had a complete overhaul of their personalities, changing from their experiences over the 20 yeas passed in the story, assuming earth names, and nearly becoming someone completely different. A new character was thrown into the mix: Sara Blayde. DarkAngel now had a love interest. Also, more characters were introduced, including a rowdy Brit by the name of James "Silverwolf" Silvertail who was just joining the GDI, a mysterious Ra'Tek figure by the name of Iyot Ecchik, and the newly formed Manji Clan. However, even with twenty years gone by, some things never change and DarkAngel's life is tossed around for the 5th time: his discovery that he wasn't human. At this point, I actually began to put ideas onto paper and write ZERO Level. After a couple of months, I started a newsletter and got well over 40 people on it. After a long summer, I returned to school and ran into my friend, who suddenly turned hostile against my story and me. In a way, it made me want to write significantly better, but I also felt horrible about losing a friend and the very person who urged me to write. Finally (back the story itself), Marcus Dracon began to explore his past and finds himself on Earth...in the year 2001. Want to know why? Read ZERO Level! What is DarkAngel Designs? After I began to actually write ZERO Level, one of my friends, "Avatar M.K.II", opted to do concept drawings of the characters in the story as per my description. After that, I began to design movies, desktop themes, and a whole slew of media related to ZERO Level and other things. The dragon logo at the top of this page is the signature logo for ZERO Level and DarkAngel Designs. The ZERO Level Saga was also changed to "The ZERO Level Project" for possibility of legal issues. Why is there a "Movies" section? Wondering why there is a movie section at this site with stuff from Tekken 4? Simple. In ZERO Level, a majority of the combat is martial-arts and fighting-arts oriented, and in addition to that, Trance music was used for majority of the brainstorming I did for the fights. Thanks to some inspiration from Tekken Zaibatsu, I used the game Tekken Tag Tournament as the base for describing and planning a majority of the fighting styles in ZL, and soon found myself making movies of equal or better quality. However, with the future release of Tekken 4 and it's better combat architecture, I halted the Movies project and will not be releasing any until it's release.
