On Saturday, 20 March at 10:00 am, Joedy will be holding a rappel class at his house. Please contact Joedy if you intend to come. Everyone should bring, hardhat, gloves, boots, long pants, and rappel harness if you own one. If you already have a full set of rappel gear, bring it all. Everyone should review our web page link to VPI Cave Club's Knots Article and practice tying the Figure- 8, Water knot, Double Fisherman's Bend, Munter Hitch, Prusik knot and Mule knot prior to class.

Our February 20-22 caving trip to Thorn Spring Park, Franklin, WV was a huge success! 26 people came and 25 caved. I want to thank everyone who came for pitching in and cleaning up the cabins after our usual mess. We split into the following groups during cave trips:

On Friday evening before the rest of us arrived, Rita, Quinn and Kyle went into Hamilton cave and tried to get back to the "Air Blower," however, they couldn't find it. They were able to come into the cabins completely covered in mud with that look on their faces of "we got into caves before you did."
