Our Mission and Objective
Introduction: What is Royal Rangers
Royal
Rangers is a national program to meet the physical, spiritual,
mental and social needs of boys, girls, and young men and ladies
ages 5 through 17. The ultimate goal is to help boys and girls
recognize and assume their place of leadership as responsible
followers of Jesus Christ. Our motto is to Reach, Teach and Keep
Rangers for Christ. We recognize that the boys and girls we
reach today will be the leaders of tomorrow!
The
ministry reaches across Malaysia and in over 63 nations around the
world. It motivates boys and girls spiritually through Bible study
and memorization, devotionals, and Christian role models. An
advanced awards-based weekly program strengthens the Rangers
mentally. Further the Rangers increase their physical prowess by
participation in age-specific activities and recreation. Finally,
they are introduced to church, community, and nature-related
activities to develop their social skills and awareness.
Dedicated leaders, called commanders, provide Rangers the
necessary direction during a weekly outpost meeting. The meetings
are designed to develop the total Ranger for Christ and offer love
and understanding between the Ranger and a godly role
model.
The Royal Rangers' Mission
The
mission of Royal Rangers is:
“To reach, teach, and keep boys and
girls for Christ!”
Purpose of the Royal Rangers Ministry
1. To
evangelise boys and girls for Christ.
2. To
develop the total boy and girl for Christ (spiritually, physically,
mentally and socially).
3. To
keep boys and girls in our churches.
Our Aim and Goals for Royal Rangers
To
instruct, challenge and inspire our boys and girls in the areas of
Bible doctrine, Christian service, moral conduct and basic beliefs
of our church through interesting activities boys and girls
enjoy.
To
instruct in Bible Doctrine. When a Ranger completes this program he
or she should have a basic knowledge of what the Bible teaches.
To
challenge for Christian service. When a Ranger completes this
program he or she should be ready to take his place in the area of
Christian service where God wants him or her to be.
To
inspire a belief in the fundamental beliefs of our church. When a
Ranger completes this program he or she should be Christian in
belief for the remainder of his or her life.
To
satisfy the Ranger 's basic need for activity. A Ranger engaged in
this program should have enough interesting activities to do to
prevent him or her from being tempted to engage in unwholesome
activities.
