The following pictures have been taken during the Desert Safari at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The route spans a corner of the great Thar desert situated in the northwest corner of Rajasthan (Desert state of India). |

After mounting our respective rides, we were ready to start the tour. It was a unique experience climbing the camel since the animal, due to its size, has a strange way of getting up and down ! Even though it was bright and sunny, the wind was chilly and as a result we had to wear warm clothes to protect ourselves from the cold. From left: Nikhil, Mihir, Satyendra> |

| As the safari progressed into the ruthless and unforgiving desert, the surroundings became more and more barren. All one could see was thorny bushes, dry parched land and dry sand | If the camel was tall and lean, Mihir did not help its cause either. Poor guy, he had a tough time getting on and off the camel. Of course we enjoyed watching him...ha ha ha !!. Mihir getting ready to dismount the camel as it leans down in its inital approach to its sitting position. He is helped by the two camel drivers who watch the entire scene in amusement. |
