General History: From what is known, Mihoshi grew up as one of the top students in the GP, before suddenly becoming eccentric and bubble-headed, being demoted from an office job to detective. She became partners with one of the other top students of the GP, Miss Kiyone Makibi, who soon got ridiculed for being paired with her. Kiyone quickly gained a somewhat sarcastic and angry attitude towards Mihoshi, yet still being friendly with her. She put up with her mistakes, no matter how large. The only exception was when Mihoshi accidentally pushed her into a large canal on Dr. Washu's Soja (Mihoshi/GP Special OAV, not seen on American CN). Kiyone somehow survived the explosion of the Soja, and stayed alive, vowing to kill her partner. Whether she meant this literally or figuratively is not known, but one can speculate. When the fugitive Kagato, a member of the GP's Eternally Most Wanted List began attacking historic sites around Mihoshi's assigned sector (Sol, our solar system), she was briefly mentioned what was going on. Being bubble-headed, she took it upon herself to find and defeat Kagato herself. After falling through a vortex above a nearby onsen (bath house), she fell into Tenchi's arms, landing safely, but fainting and knocking Tenchi unconscious. She soon became part of the group, viewing Tenchi as her 'destiny'. Mihoshi herself was the one that freed Washu from her prison on the Soja, though ironically destroys many of her experiments.


Personality: Mihoshi, though sometimes quite childish and bumbling, is really a very kind and caring young woman. She is very fond of cute things, like Ryo-Ohki, as she possessed many stuffed animals on her spaceship. She cares about the general welfare of her new family, even dragging Ryoko off for some cough medicine while she was trying to court Tenchi with tips from Sasami's Shoujo Manga (Girls' Comics). She is very righteous, her moral compass being very sharp; She even stood up to Kagato when he first attacked, showing her bravery in the face of battle. Though she gets scared at the mere word 'ghost', she can face enemies much stronger than her. Mihoshi also has odd luck - Though she is very clumsy, she has genius-like qualities when solving problems, even surprising Washu, the Greatest Scientific Genius in the history of the Universe. She does not see her faults most of the time, but knows that everyone has some problem. She gets embarrassed very easily, with the nervous habit of putting her forefingers together and bending them back and forth, a trait she seems to share with some of the other girls living in the Masaki home. She views Tenchi as her destiny, as he was the one who saved her when she fell through the vortex, yet she does not notice that Ryoko and Ayeka also love Tenchi. She greatly misses her lost partner, Kiyone, though thinking that she is dead.
