The
Dutch Army Commandos.
motto:
"NUNC AUT NUNQUAM"
The
distinctive Green Beret worn by the Dutch Army Commandos (Korps
Commandotroepen) is a symbol of excellence and it takes a special
kind of person to wear one. It takes someone who welcomes having his
mental and physical capabilities tested to the limit and beyond,
someone who doesn't think that "courage, honor, integrity and
pride" are symply words, but a code by wich to live.
This is what it takes to wear the Green Beret of the Dutch Army
Commando units.
To be eliglible, you must volunteer for airborne-training and meet
other stringent prerequisites. If accepted, you'll train at the
Engelbrecht van Nassau kazerne at Roosendaal in The Netherlands. The
training is tough, but you'll learn special operations skills that
will enable you to fight and survive anywhere in the world.
You'll also use your know-how to teach others to do the same. If you
deserve the right to wear the Green Beret of the Dutch Army
Commandos, foreign language-, jungle- and artic-training will follow.
The day you find yourself thundering through the night-sky toward
the dropzone, daubed in camouflage, with two parachutes, field pack,
ammunition, weapons and protective mask, you'll know it's now or
never: "Nunc aut nunquam".
A Dutch Commando is a member of the most elite corps of the Dutch
Army:

Being
part of the Dutch Army Commandos and wearing the Green Beret is one
of the proudest things in the Army.
To say: "Commando-training is rigorous" is no
understatement. You'll experience some of the most physically
demanding, emotionally exhausting and mentally challenging training,
the Army has to offer.
As you can see, becoming a Dutch Commando isn't easy and for good
reasons. You have to be prepared for just about anything, because
you never know when you'll be airlifted at night for a parachute
jump into a tropical jungle or onto a snow-covered plain.
As a Commando, you'll learn to survive and function under the most
extreme conditions, you'll accept danger as a constant companion,
you'll act as the eyes of the Army, probing deep into enemy
territory on long-range reconnaissance missions.
Regardless of your destination, your mission will be the same: to
establish a command post and handle any situation you might
encounter.
