Sonic The Hedgehog 2's Beta version is very well, one of the most mysterious and controversial prereleases. There are so many questions we have about this game that could have been answered, but nobody's giving us the answers we're looking for. What did Genocide City look like at one point? Was Hidden Palace a Tails level only? Was Tails SUPPOSED to be the Emerald's watcher? And what about Dust Hill zone? Hopefully one day we'll find ourselves what we're looking for.
