Constantine
Keanu Reeves stars as the super-exorcist John Constantine, or simply put: the new Neo. Damned to Hell for taking his own life, Constantine is on a self-absorbed quest to exorcise enough demons back to the Pit to buy his way into God's good grace. Rachiel Weisz plays both Isabel and Angela Dodson, one twin who commited suicide, the latter out to find the cult responsible. She finds aid in Constantine, and together they embark on a demon-infested journey to the end of the world.

As Neo, Keanu Reeves' acting has been compared to a chair's, but as Constantine he actually pulls off the desparaging, burdened soul of a man who hates the rules that damn him. We sympathize for his cause, we hope him the best, and cheer him on as he does his job with a certain sense of style. Speaking of style, the movie does a quite a job of interweaving Christian dogma with modern day. Constantine reads a demon a passage from the Bible to forgive sins in order to pressure information out of him. Once he gets it, he slams the book and mocks him, "You have to ask to be forgiven, asshole."

Props to Constantine for telling the truth about salvation, rather than the popular belief of today that your actions win you entrance, and to being overall a good movie. I would recommend reading the novelization. It provides a much deeper understanding than the film will iniltially leave you with. Constantine gets my rating of 8/10.
