"Yo skid, yeah you, down on the row, what you gonna do now where ya gonna go," Ryan sang into the mike. "Wait, guys cut it," he said while shaking his head.
"What, what's up dude?" asked Stever.
"I'm not into it right now guys. We've done Skidrow day and night along with Deep and Mistake and everything else on Face Down. Let's do something else for a change."
"And what did you have in mind?" asked John, a little ticked that Ryan was holding up practice because of something philosophical floating around in his spikey head.
"Why do I have a feeling you want to sing 'Dream Girl'?" asked Dan.
"Come on, last time I sang it my voice was changing and it sucked crap. How long has it been, really?"
"A year. . .maybe more. Ahh those were the days," said Stever. "Okay, for old times sake." Ryan grinned as the guys started playing their old song.
"Hey girl, are you out there?. . ." he began singing.
It had been two weeks since Ryan's dream, and he still couldn't get the mystery girl out of his head. His grades in school were starting to drop a bit, and even in music they were falling. If he didn't find this girl soon, his life would be a complete mess.
