A Little About The Big Day

Well we haven't decided on a church yet, but we are thinking about Emmanual Epispical in Bel Air. We've already decided to use the Richlin Ballroom as our Reception Site. We will be having 150 - 200 guests.

Let me tell you about the theme to our wedding. After our engagement, the next day we spent was at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. While we were there, we came across a little shop that happened to sell knives and swords. DJ LOVES knives and swords and collects them. So we stopped in. It was called Historic Families. While I was browsing around, I saw this shop had coat of arms for families. So I thought I would be interested to look up the history of our families. During my search, I found this plaque, hand embroidered, with two families on it, two coat of arms, and two family histories. In the center, there was a smaller plaque that said, "Celebrating the joining of _____ family and ____ family in Holy Matramony." Ok, after seeing that, and being recently engaged, I just knew we had to get it.

After we purchased it, I figured that would be something nice to display at the reception so guests could read about our family history and see the joining of our coat of arms. And from there.... we came up with some more ideas. It only seems like fate to have a medieval style wedding. He proposed at Medieval Times, we found these Medieval Coat of Arms... so we are going to have a hint of medieval in our wedding. Its going to be beautiful.

Special thanks to Medieval Times and to all who work at Historic Families for our creative idea.
