Bangladesh Association of Saitama University (BASU) is an organization of all present and past Bangladeshi Students/Researchers of Saitama University, 255, Shimo-Okubo, Sakura-ku, Saitama, Japan. Family members staying in Japan are also included. The association is managed by the President and his associate(s). The responsibilities, working procedures and related issues are defined by the ordinance of the association.


This association was established in March 1999. Since then, there have been a lot of activities, for example, cultural activities within and among communities, participating in Saitama University food festival, tours to various places in Japan, indoor and outdoor sports with different local and national teams in Japan etc. In addition, the association offers annual scholarship to poor students in Bangladesh to facilitate their education.


The main objectives of the association are to

  • Improve regular interactions among the BASU members
  • Help Bangladeshi new comers for a smooth transition
  • Introduce Bangladesh and her culture to the Japanese and other foreign communities in and around Saitama University campus. 


This homepage has information about BASU management, members  (individual member detail) and programs etc. The is used to exchange emails among all members of the association. However, the present members of BASU can use to  circulate any news, party announcement or topic of mutual interest

সাইতামা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পুরাতন/বর্তমান ছাত্র/গবেষক ও তাদের পরিবার নিয়ে একটি প্রাণবন্ত সংগঠন বাংলাদেশ এসোসিয়েশন অব সাইতামা ইউনিভার্সিটি (বাসু), বাসুর কর্মকান্ডের মধ্যে রয়েছে - নবাগতদেরকে সাইতামায় বসবাস সহজ করা, বিভিন্ন ধরনের অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা, এছাড়া আরো অনেক ব্যাপক কার্যকলাপ। এই ওয়েব সাইট থেকে বাসুর ব্যবস্থাপনা, সদস্য, অনুষ্ঠানাদি ইত্যাদি সম্পর্কে জানা যাবে।
