| Clarification of the term Foreigner rubytuesdayschild

I say things about foreigners a lot and there are plenty of people who would, could, and did take offense and seldom are they the people who SHOULD have taken offense.
So, for the purposes of keeping things friendly, I would like to clarify what and who is generally referred to as foreign by Alaskan standards.
1)"Damn FOREIGNERS" : Texans and Californians for sure. The possibility of anyone from the Lower 48 and Scandinavia.
Scandinavia because they did an extensive study of Alaska, did the Scandinavians, and conclusively proved that we have no moose. ??????
3) DAMN FOREIGNERS: Texans and Californians who are working here and spending money there. English people who are standing in line in America or Alaska, talking about Americans who stand in line and say rude things about people in their own country. An obviously silly thing to complain about under the circumstances.
4)DAMN Foreigners: People who come to Alaska and refuse to dance naked for us. There are laws, people ..
Also the sort of people who have lived here for any length of time at all and think that makes them Alaskan. It doesn't. As a concession to American Weeniesm we have lowered the standard time length of residence from 17 years to 13 years. But, that is 13 years ONLY if you do not spend all the time in the city being silly. If you have not learned how to dress, how to walk really far in the cold, how to go for days at a time without food, and how to not get eaten by hears without military intervention you will never be an Alaskan. And once you hit the 13 year mark we will grudgingly say "Well .. I GUESS you are Alaskan" and we will continue to say so 4 more years and then we will half grudgingly say it for the rest of your life.
Also, people who bomb the pipeline. This is rude, completely uncalled for ... it doesn't help the animals, it doesn't hurt the Americans, it doesn't hurt the Alaskan economy as that is fucked anyway .. all it does is spill a bunch of muck on the ground so you may as well save yourself the time, trouble, and possible criminal prosecution and just throw some more wrappers and cigarette butts down.
5)Foreigners: Anyone from the Lower 48
6)foreigners: Anyone who needs an excuse for their behavior.
7)Damn Foreigners (said with utter cheerfulness): Canadians who are annoying.
8)FUCKING FOREIGNERS!!!! : Nazis, Klansmen, and anyone in the American Government who thinks they can make up laws and figure out how to build roads here. Also Texans and Californians.
People who vote for overpasses to be built or who think that roads should be widened.
That pretty well covers it.
What the use of the word foreigners does not mean:
1)People from Ireland - the IRISH people from Ireland
2)People from Maine
3)Canadians in general
4)Australians
5)Anyone who has the balls to jump ship and run off to live in the woods armed with only a knife
This sounds very restrictive to some people, especially Texans, and they tell us how unfair it is. So, for the sake of comparison lets' see how Maine's "Foreign Policy" stacks up.
Who is a foreigner to people from Maine
1) Anyone not from Maine
2)Anyone who lives more than 3 miles away
To people from Maine, everyone is a Yankee. I love people from Maine. Even if the damn foreign bastards keep calling us Yankees and us not around for any of them wars.

I would just like to once and for all apologize for anything I have done, am doing or will do that is offensive to anyone at all, ever. In my defense, I either didn't mean it to be offensive ... or I just didn't care .. or .. maybe I actually wanted to offend because your eyes look ssoooooo pretty popped open all wide like that.

I have absolutely nothing to say, just feel a duty towards the cause of filling all empty air with inane chatter and/or the tippy tapping sounds of many keys being pounded.
Pounded is sometimes good. You can pound back a cold one. That's good. You can pound your pud. S'alright. You can pound your dog. Can be good, depends on how much you like the dog. You can pound the pavement .. very good if you are into construction and pretty alright if looking for work .. at least you are doing something; you can pound out a tune on the piano, you can pound your meat with a tenderizer .. not to be confused with pounding your pud! ... and then she got bored with the whole subject and threatened to return later .. thusly : I shall return later.

I am quitting my job and going back to school to pursue my dream... finally! Everyone tells me that I'm crazy, but if I don't do this-- I'll wind up in the nuthouse. So that's my plan.
I might go to Las Vegas this summer too. Otherwise, I'm just hanging out at home.
So... what about everyone else???

I'm gonna take the summer off and write on this book I have been working on for the last couple of years. I got a big tax refund, my rent is minimal. So .. this is the best chance I ever got to just write.

I am bummed. It was around 55F this whole week .. everyone running around barefoot when they wanna be, in shorts and tank tops. Well, not EVERYONE, but definitely me when I could. Today it is 36F in Anchorage and out where I grew up it snowed last night.

It's a very simple one... I want to be a teacher. So I'm getting licensure this Summer/Fall and hope to corrupt all the little minds I possibly can-- LOL-- I thought you would like that one! In fact, it's exactly the opposite.
I'm also working on a book, trying to get it published too. It's a biography about my grandmother-- she had a very interesting life.
I also want to write children's books... but that's a long way off!

Yes, Alaska .. and it is a beautiful place. Not counting all the litter that gets thrown out of peoples cars .. hmmm ... Actually this winter was very very mild. It is now, apparently, making up for lost time. It barely snowed the whole winter and most of the time it didn't even get to be less, than, say 5 degrees above. Not around here, anyway.
I know nothing about Ohio except that it's mentioned in one of my favorite songs and, I think, Ann Romano lived there.

My book is about ... 300 pages. LOL
It's SF&F, silly, and more or less about this girl searching for reality/truth.
I want to write children's books too. Wrote a few stories for them, at different times, just never got around to typing any of them up yet. One I never finished, about people who are whale hunters. Kept being harassed by people who think whales shouldn't be hunted .. even by the Natives. I am still gonna write it though, and try to get it published, as soon as I can get a Native person who actually does such hunting to tell me if I got the details right.

well.. about summer plans: this year I think I won't go anywhere coz i spent all my money last summer for a 2 week trip on the road in the southern Ireland :o))) guess this year I'll save the money for another similar trip.;o)
about dreams... well... first, i'd like to graduate fast!!! gosh.. here it's so long...
then to find time and money to visit my BF in London (or him to come here to Milan... anyway..)
then, as we speak about dreams... I'd like to win the lottery!!! a friend of mines in Wicklow is trying to win the lottery with 6 numbers I gave him. 1 month but still no money... :o(
oh, the weather.... nice topic... here we are having awful weather!!! I'm in Italy and it's supposed to be hot but no, instead I guess that London has better weather... no rain and kinda hot. Here it gloomy, cold, rainy... bleah... I want to come back to Africa!!!

I wrote some poems in English. I was bored at school and I wrote during philosophy courses.. ;o)

Cool. I have a bunch of poems online. .. some of them I need to get right back offline too. They managed to get submitted in such a fashion that parts of them disappeared.
I think I shall go compose an ode to Simon, right now. LOL .. as soon, that is, as I go and look up the definition of ode again.
