| The Sickbay remained relatively
unchanged in design, however due to increasing casualties aboard starships in combat,
refit developers saw a need to expand the sickbay to handle a few more patients. The
number of biobeds went from 3 to 4, and hologram duplication technology allows up to 3 EMH
programs to run. Only one unit, however, is allowed outside of sickbay. Six stasis chambers have been added to the rear of the sickbay, to hold severe cases until better medical help is available. The Bioscan makes intensive "pictures" of the patient for record keeping. In a few seconds time, it can take exact measures of internal and external status. The holo-emitters in turn can be used to produce an image of a past patient for study or comparison between former and more recent records. |
