| Personal Traits: Oraken Ssul F'M'H moves
with a slow fluid grace that belies is often lightning fast reflexes and stunning agility.
His steady wide eye gazes gives him a pensive look and calming demeanor. While not
aggressive by nature, his sharp clawed hands often discourage would be aggressors. As the
result of a fierce Klingon raid, his right hand is a slightly lighter shade of red where
it was severed at the wrist by a Bat'leth, only is amazing Saurian regenerative abilities
allowed him to grow a new appendage. Personality: Oraken is composed and contemplative when performing the task at hand but when the situation calls for Celebration you likely find him with a bottle of Saurian brandy in one hand and hauntingly beautiful song on his lips. He is known for his artistic sculptures and flamboyantly colorful paintings, many of which contain color visible only to the Saurian eye. Although possessing a sense of humor considered slightly skewed by human standards he is pleasant company and a source of unconventional insight. Hobbies: He is athletic and can frequently be found swimming on the beaches of his native land or jogging along the coast (using the holodeck of course). He also enjoys learning about astrophysical phenomenon and rigorous duels in the holodeck using his favorite set of Sharaka blades (reminiscent of ancient earth's Shuang Gou swords, these twin hook swords curve gracefully back at their tips to form a hook). Place of birth: Sauria Early Life: Up to the age of 53 standard earth years, before becoming an adult that is, Oraken enjoyed a peaceful existence on his home world of Sauria. Growing up on Kasar'ks, one of the larger Isles, Oraken led a typical life and was driven by a profound urge to see the stars. He often found himself joining his sire in trips to the outer colonies of Saurian space to better view the galaxy. Academy Life: Oraken displayed an impressive ability to adapt to life among aliens. Being one of the few Saurians serving in Starfleet, he as worked hard to integrate himself among the mostly non-reptilian races at the academy. He has earned numerous commendations for his groundbreaking insights into stellar phenomenon and his tactical expertise. He has also been praised for his shrewd mind and technical know how. Major Area of Study: Science Cadet Cruise: During is Cadet cruise aboard the USS Mosaic, Oraken displayed his versatility as a crewmember by disarming a micro explosive attached to a plasma conduit and by apprehending the saboteur. Additional Comments: Oraken nurses a quiet hatred for Klingons as they are responsible for the death of his parents and sister during the bloody raid in which he lost his right hand. While he does not pursue is hatred of Klingons openly, he is of short temper around them and prone to aggressive posturing (note: Oraken mostly fights Klingons when dueling in the holodeck). The loss of his parents ultimately resulted in his joining Starfleet first as a Security officer. (Before this incident he dreamed only of becoming a Science officer and has maintained this interested while studying at the academy). However his years at the academy finally allowed him to let go of the hatred caused by the loss of his family and redirect his focus towards achieving his dream of becoming a Science officer.
