| Personal traits: Although Martin looks like
he would be rather confident, he tends to be more drawn back, and not outgoing at all. He
has the muscular build of someone who goes to the gym off and on but isn't exactly
"buff". He has a small V goatee, as well as a silver stud in his left ear (taken
off when on duty, of course). His hair stands up a little bit, and back, using a special
form of glue. He's lightly tanned. Although hard to see he has a scar on his right should
to upper back. Personality: Martin is shy, and although not to confident at first, in the company of friends he's (usually) fun to be around. He tends to like action, hence the fact he went into security. Hobbies: Martin likes to sit down with a good book. He also enjoys stargazing. Place of birth: Luna. Home planet: Luna. Early Life: Martin grew up on Luna with 2 brothers and 1 sister. His father and sister died when he was 11 years old when a large part of his colony collapsed due to faulty construction work, which is how he got the scar on his back. He only left Luna once before entering the Academy. His Mother had to take him with her on a trade run shortly after the accident at the colony. Academy Life: Martin entered the academy when he was 18. He originally went into the Science department to follow in his Father's footsteps. But he dropped out after about a year when he saw he was simply doing what he had been brought up to do, not what he wanted to do. He considered Medical, but decided on security eventually. He was a good student, studying hard with fairly good grades. Outside of class he never got into any significant trouble, but did tend to do some things that weren't exactly protocol. Major Area of Study: Security. Minor Area of Study: Medical, with some background in science as well due to his original line of study. Cadet Cruise: Martin was assigned to a Nebula class starship (USS Nessix) for his Cadet Cruise. They mainly did patrolling, and had 2 run-ins with enemies. Most of the crew was veterans so they looked down on Martin and didn't let him do much. Personal History: His father, Robert Ashcroft, was killed in the collapse of part of Martin's colony when he was 11. His mother, Briana, was the helmsman of a trading ship, which ran supplies between Earth, Luna, and some other nearby planets. His older brother, Pari, was 13 years older than him and he only briefly knew before he left for the Academy, only to drop out. None of his family has heard from him since. His younger brother, Brynan, was 5 years younger than him and has yet to enter the Academy or another school. He is currently doing some minor Engineering work on Luna. He sister, Marchelle, is his twin and was also killed in the collapse of the colony when Martin was 11. Family: Mother- Briana Ashcroft. Father- Robert Ashcroft. Sibling(s)- Pari, Brynan, and Marchelle. Partner- n/a Children- n/a People from The Past: Martin had a few childhood friends, but most of them went on to do things other than the Academy. The 2 that did enter the Academy went into Medical, so Martin doesn't see them much. |
