CREW BIO'S SECURITY

Michael spent his entire life on Mars, before journeying to Earth to join StarFleet. The Providence is his second assignment, but the reports on his first (USS Freedom) held little importance, except to say that he was quick and eager to serve both his crewmates and the Federation.

Michael’s father was a geologist, and his mother was a botanist on Mars that was attempting to terraform the planet to create a second “Earth” for earth citizens. His father was killed during a rock slide when he was only a child, and the only adult male influence he had was an uncle in Starfleet who used to visit occasionally. All other adults were busy on the project at hand, but Michael used to wait with great enthusiasm for his uncle’s stories, believing every word of them, even if they were a bit embellished.

When Michael turned seventeen, he immediately left Mars and joined Starfleet, keen to go to war with the Dominion and begin a brilliant military career like his uncle before him. However, three weeks before his graduation, the Dominion signed the peace treaty and robbed him of his chance to fight.

Michael is still very eager to gain the support and respect of his fellow crewmates, and perhaps even impress the captain enough to gain a field promotion. Although not a fool, if a dangerous situation arrises, he will not falter in risking his life, provided someone else knows of his actions. He will not “Blow his own trumpet” but he bathes in the praises of others and will listen intently for hours if anyone wants to reminisce about their combat during the war.
