Megatron, supreme commander of the Decepticons, built a small energon plant far off in the desert.  “Decepticons,” He said, “I have constructed this energon plant to provide us with a limitless supply of energon which will ensure our victory over Prime!”

The Decepticons cheered.

Soundwave, Megatron’s favorite, leaned over and whispered in Megatron’s ear.

“What?!?” Megatron exclaimed.  “Elita 1 and her guerilla troops have invaded Shockwave’s fortress on Cybertron!”

“What is your command Megatron?” Soundwave said flatly.

“Decepticons, we must end this threat now!  Join me in the space bridge and we’ll vanquish Elita 1 and her troops!”

Starscream stood up among them.  “But Megatron, who will take care of this power plant while you’re gone?”

“Starscream, you fool!” Megatron snapped.  “Megatron’s don’t leave things to tend for themselves.  You and your look-alikes will take care of the plant!”

“As you command, oh powerful leader,” Starscream said mischievously as he rubbed his hands together.

A few cycles later…

Starscream sat in the small throne built in the power plant.  His eyes feasted on the site of the piles of energon cubes.  “Fellow jets,” Starscream said to Dirge, Blitzwing, and the others planes.  “I move that we go into business for ourselves.  With all this energon, we can defeat Megatron and his forces with a gesture!  And the Autobots will fall in our jet dust as well!”

The Decepticons cheered!

“AND,” Starscream continued, “This Power plant is built like a fortress, so we will make this our castle!  Anyone who stands against us will crumble!  We’ll have the power to rule Cybteron AND Earth!”

One mega-cycle later…

“Decepticons,” Megatron said to his troops on Cybertron.  “We have scared off those Autobot troops.  There’s no use in searching for them through the bowels of Cybertron.  Let’s head back.”

“But Megatron,” Hook of the Constructicons said, “Our troops need repairs.  I suggest we send one of us back to check Starscream and the Power Plant.”

“Yes,” Megatron nodded.  “Our forces will be stronger if we get the necessary repairs.  Send Astrotrain back.  Instruct him to get the energon we need.”

Back on Earth…

“Starscream – “

“That’s Emperor Starscream to you, maggot!”

“Sorry, sir,” Blitzwing said, “but Astrotrain has just crossed over from the space bridge.  He’s outside the gates of the energon plant and wants in!  What do we do?”

“What else?” Starscream said, picking up a stack of energon cubes, “Give him a welcome from the new Decepticon alliance.”

A twinkle glistened in his eye.

In moments, all the power surged Decepticons surrounded Astrotrain.  Astrotrain stared back at them with fear-struck eyes.  Starscream and his troops were glowing with power.

“Starscream, don’t do this!” Astrotrain pleaded.

“Decepticons, aim at his vital circuits.  We’ll make it long and painful.”

Starscream aimed his rifle.  “No use arguing, Astrotrain.  You’ll be scrap in nanoclicks.”

Astrotrain shook violantly.

Starscream raised his gun.  “Wait.  We’ll let you off this time, Astrotrain.”

“You’re letting me go?”

“Yes, for only a cycle!”

Astrotrain burst off in train mode.

Starscream laughed.  “And tell your boss Megatron we’re running the show now!”

Dirge cackled.  “Did you see his face?  It looks like he leaked energon on his servos!”

Megatron sent another emissary, only to have him sent back wounded.  So he sent another, but Starscream and his troops shredded him and sent him back in a box.

Megatron stared over the Cybertron landscape.  “I know what I’ll do.  I’ll send Soundwave.  They’ll respect him.”

Soon, Soundwave arrived at the energon plant.  “Open the doors Starscream.  Megatron commands it.”

“Command this!” Starscream laughed, firing a missile at Soundwave.

Soundwave didn’t flinch.   “Open the gates.  Megatron desires his energon plant.”

“Megatron?  That baffoon?  He can suck my skidplate!” Blitzwing said as he fired a streak of bullets.

Soundwave still stood his ground.

Dirge waved for them to gather.  “He’s not leaving.  He’s not a coward like the rest of them.”

“I don’t see it as a problem.  I say we extinguish his spark.”

“But Starscream, er, lord Starscream, Soundwave is –“

“- Megatron’s favorite,” Starscream finished.  “This just may be our chance to send Megabutt the message that we’re in charge now.  Fill up on energon and slag Soundwave with extreme prejudice.”

Shortly, Soundwave was reduced to a pile of nuts and bolts.  Starscream and his troops stood over it, congratulating each other on their victory.

Back on Cybertron…

Megatron contemplated the situation.  “They have gone too far.  Constructicons, Motormaster, and Decepticon army, go to Starscream and his troops.  And when I give the signal, unleash hell on them.”

Starscream and his troops fell in fright when they saw the army coming for their heads.  Not long after the short battle, Megatron told Hook,  “You and your Constructicons now are in charge of the plant.  I trust you’ll serve me better then this pile of scrap, won’t you”

“Yes, Megatron,” Hook bowed.

When Starscream and his group took over the power plant that Megatron entrusted him, Megatron sent his soldiers to set him straight.  The traitorous Decepticons didn’t listen, and killed Megatron’s men.  Megatron finally took back the power plant by force, punished the traitors, and gave the plant to worthier soldiers.  This is like how God wanted all men to turn from sin and come back to him.  But when He sent His prophets, and even His Son Jesus, people rejected them.  In the end, God will judge everyone accordingly.
