Canopy Sylven
~Nature's Kindred~
It is said that the only other race besides the forest gnomes, who are truly kindred spirits with nature, are the Canopy Sylven. These are people who migrated into the forest lands of Destiny, adapted and became one with nature. They make their homes on top of and within trees. They stand at an average height between 4 and 5 feet and can weigh anywhere between 80 to 120 pounds. Being somewhat small and lithe, they are known for being very quick with great agility, with great hand and eye coordination. They vary in color from having a human-colored skin tone to light color shades of green. Their eyes and hair will range from shades of brown to shades of green, but always matching the colors of the forest.
Since an early age, they are taught the skills of wilderness survival, learning how to hunt and track, learning the secrets of herbal lore, herbal remedies and to flawlessly camouflage themselves when in the forest. They excel in the art of archery and learn to make their own bow and arrows from the time they are taught how to hunt. They have a +5% to all the abilities that were stated above and, when they have a bow as a weapon, they receive a +5% to hit. More likely than not, they will follow the Lord Chylde Asylum and will choose to become rangers. This is not always the case and Canopy Sylven can be of any ethic and profession they choose.
