Back Story: Nick Fury is a top agent of the super-secret government military organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. He apparently had a bit of a past with Wolverine (who also previously worked for S.H.I.E.L.D.), but that's all we know about him. As you can probably guess, he keeps his past a secret.
Personality: As with your stereotype government agent, Fury's a down-to-business kinda guy. He isn't one for formalities. However, he's got a bit of an "understanding" side to him. He was the one who helped the Mutants out in their desperate situation in "Day of Recovery", after all. So he's not totally stone-cold; just enough to make him a goverment agent. Anything about his personality beyond this is unknown.
Final Reflections: After S.H.I.E.L.D. joined the Evo universe, you can be sure you'd see Nick Fury pop up in his fair share of episodes, even though he had a background role in them. Sure, he was a bit of a stereotype, but he played his part well, and a character like his was certainly needed after the whole "Mutants were made public" thing in Season 3.
