Before I concentrated on writing novels, I dreamed of being a comic book artist. As it turns out, I was always a more talented writer than artist----but that never stopped me from dabbling in illustrating comic books. I've drawn over fifty comic books (some published, many seen only by my friends) as well as creating many commission pieces, and other pieces strictly intended to take to portfolio reviews at conventions.
