THE CITADEL OF MOURNING;
The primary seat of Clan Abominatus, was formerly "The Citadel of Morning", one of the main fortresses of the once mighty "Knights of The Black Forrest", then under the command of Duke 8of11, a full Knight Commander of the Order, and a truly formidable foeman.
It has now become a sink of evil and depravity, the likes of which have never before been seen in the lands of mankind.
The vast, many towered edifice was always an indomitable defensive fortification, and it was only possible for even the immense triple army of daemons, devils, and undead, lead by it's new masters, to capture it, through completely unsuspected acts of betrayal and treachery perpetrated by two highly placed officers of the Order.
It is to such a place that the forces of the vile Drax ap Athius, and the rest of clan Abominatus have ensconced themselves. And worse, since taking it over, Drax, Seska and Tantric, have used the terrible forces loaned them by "The Dark One" to expand and improve upon it. Truelly, as impregnable as it was before, it is a thousand fold more so now.
The philosophy of Clan Abominatus...
As dictated by Drax ap Athius, Lord of Abominatus, and Prince of Hell on Earth.
POWER!!! Pure and simple power. Might makes right. As my Lady Wife, Seska, ArchQueen of Rot and Decay, so elequently put it... "Do as thou Wilt shall be the whole of the law!" As long as you have the power to back it up that is.
We do not expect the weak, divided nobles of Queen Beth's Court, to either agree with, or too understand this. Indeed, we count on it being beyond their simple minds. And of the middle classes and the peasantry? Who cares what they think, want, or feel? Certainly not Seska, Tantric, or I! Or indeed, any of the wise souls who have joined with us in Abominatus.
Out of Character: A Quick Latin Lesson...
sort of. *Grin*
Those of you who have been reading our posts at DC, or in the Clan Forum, maybe wondering what our traditional greeting "Semper Malefacio", or our traditional malediction, "Male (Mala) Precatus" mean.
Both phrases come down from old Latin, and as close as we have been able to translate them with the internet programs at our disposal, they mean the following...
Semper Malefacio: sems to be most closely translated as "always do Evil". It is used as an alternate form of "Seska's" (actually Aleister Crowley's, the real one, not his DC clone's) admonition to "Do as thou wilt...". (And yes, we do know that the original of that saying was NOT an admonition advocating evil in any way. Nor, for that matter, do we. This is purely a role playing mechanism, and those of you who know either Sandra or I know how far removed either Seska or Drax are from our real personalities. But, I digress.

Male (Mala) Precatus: is a more involved, and slippery term. Firstly, the "Male" is used in relaationship to men, and thus, the "Mala" in relationship to women. Now, with that out of the way, "Male (Mala) Precatus" is a general malediction roughly translatable as "May you be accursed" or "May you have great misfortune".
Well, so much for Latin101... *grin*
As a final admonition... Let's all try to keep in mind that the characters we play in DC are almost always vastly unlike our true selves, except that they can act as a sort of a mirror that we can look into to see other sides of ourselves. Such is the nature of Role Playing, and one of it's greatest gifts to the player. A chance to be someone else... who never the less is still related to ourselves, or as an oppurtunity to take our dark side out of the closet for a closer look, thereby facilitating self knowledge.
