Kathryn wanted to sink, just *sink* into her chair.
"Captain," the alien named Hosgair had been rather confused and slightly unsure as he had pointed out something rather embarrassing to her. "The animal with the red nose on your Hull . . . you are sure it is not an arsenal array?"
Kathryn closed her eyes and swallowed. What could she possibly say. 'Consul Hosgair, that's Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and no, he is not a bomb. My crew put him there, without my permission?' No way.
"Thank you, Consul," Kathryn stood up, against her body's will, "I assure you that I will take care of what adorns my ship . . . . on the inside," she glared at Tom Paris' back and then turned to give 'a look' to Harry Kim, "and the out. You have my assurances that Voyager's systems would've located any sort of explosive within close proximity to her. We pose no threat to your ship or yourselves."
"Peace be with your Voyage, Captain," Hosgair nodded and ended the transmission.
Chakotay was having a hard time not laughing but straightened his mood rather quickly when Kathryn looked down at him, "That," she stated, "is why I didn't want decorations. Something always ensues on a Starship that is decorated for the holiday."
"Imagine Hosgair's fright when he thought Rudolph was a bomb," Chakotay stated.
"Only because he was in close proximity of Voyager and was at risk that 'it' going off would take him out too," Kathryn grumbled. She stood and looked at each member of the senior staff on duty in the bridge, "No . . More . . . Decorations."

Kathryn was decorated in every Christmas ornament imaginable. Chakotay watched as she rolled over, on the red satin sheets, with Christmas garland covering her breasts and other vital parts . . . her thick, long auburn hair spread out around her face as she smiled seductively up at him.
He ran his hand out across the satin sheets, enjoying the feel of the pink rose petals, scattered on the satin sheets, that his fingers encountered along the way as they worked their way toward her . . . toward . . .
Chakotay blinked twice as the lights to his quarters went to full illumination, waking him up. He groaned and wished for nothing more than to return to sleep, to his dream.
"The time is 0600 hours. Bridge Duty shift commences in one hour and thirty minutes, Commander," the Computers basic voice directed him further into the reality of the day.
"Oh hell," he pulled the pillow over his face, muttering into its soft realm, "I've fallen for Kathryn Janeway." Taking the pillow from his face, he breathed in a gulp of cool, recycled air, and tossed it across the room at the wall, "There's no turning back now."

Kathryn Janeway hurried for the sonic shower. What she wouldn't give to feel the cool pellets of actual water run down her skin, caress it every which way . . . move to make her wet and clean . . just like her dream, that had Chakotay in it, did.
Where the hell had it come from?! He was her Commander . . err, "THE!" she stated in the shower, correcting herself, "THE Commander. Of Voyager. Not me, no not me." Why didn't she believe herself.

Tom yawned and wanted nothing more than to drop his head on the console and go to sleeeeeeep. He yawned again. What did he expect? B'Elanna and Harry had been up as well, helping to compile the White Christmas Program. Harry . . . poor Harry . . . though B'Elanna could no doubt draw on that Klingon energy she was gifted with to get her through the day, poor Harry was stuck *standing* at a console for his entire shift.
Sneaking a quick peak over his shoulder, he saw Harry trying *not* to lean most of his weight somewhere . . .anywhere . . . on the console. Tom also saw the Ensign's eyes flutter shut . . and . . stay shut!
"Harry!" he whispered, hoping to wake his friend before Tuvok, the Captain or the Commander arrived for the shift. Why was everyone late?!
Harry sprung awake, "Mom?!?!"
Tom rolled his eyes and went back to his console and not a moment too soon as Kathryn Janeway walked onboard with Commander Chakotay. Whereas the Commander went right for his chair Kathryn went right for her ready room and disappeared.
'*Uh oh,*' Tom sighed, wondering if there would be complications.
