What it means.

SLR stands for St. Lorenzo Ruiz. The first Filipino martyr to become a saint. III-SLR, together with St. Gabriel the Archangel (SGA), St. Vincent de Paul (SVP), St. John of the Cross (SJC), St. Francis Xavier (SFX), and St. Vincent Ferrer (SVF), make up the Juniors Batch 2000-2001 of Claret School of Quezon City. Of the six (6) sections, only III-SLR had managed to put up their very own class site. SJC is almost done. SVP and SFX are on their way. Just wait guys... they'll be coming soon.

The adviser and the students.

Our  section owes almost everything to our beloved adviser, Mrs. Edna R. Manalang. She has been supporting us ever since we had been assigned to her as her advisory class. We and our adviser enjoy the unexplainable bond that exists among us.

Mrs. Manalang has showed us many times already how much she loves us. There had been so many times that she had been emotional with us. She had told us that she will continue to love and admire Claretians (even if we are not so loveable). When we had a problem with one of our teachers, she stood by our side and helped us solve the problem. Although she can be very strict, she is really very sweet and caring. Just show her that you respect her, and you can expect equal (if not better) treatment from her.

The class of SLR is composed of 37 students that have different likes, friends, and personalities. We have almost all the type of students. The genius, the jologs, the bad boy, the quiet type, the gimikero, the hackers, and the cool ones. Among this categories, "the jologs" is the only one having just one student classified in it. That single student is Ryan Ramos.

The class.

Unity is needed for every group to succeed. In our class, all of us are united. United in many different ways. United by our answers on quizzes and assignments. United by the special bond that we share with each other. We will never forget the respect that we show to one another. Although sometimes, some of us can get really rude.

Our teachers think of our class as a group of rude and noisy individuals. They often tell us that they'd rather not go to our class. What they do not know is that behind each and everyone of us there hides a gentle person that just need understanding and care.

If we have students who are good in academics, we also have students who ace in sports. Chris Sayson for example is a varsity player in soccer. He is not only good in his sport but in other games as well. Chris is III-SLR's all around guy.

We are not just good in terms of academics and sports, we are also good at planning and organizing gimmicks (kahit hindi natutuloy). Although we don't go gimmicking as a class, we usually do go out in small groups of 3 to 5. SLR's favorite hang-out places are Glorietta, Robinson's Galleria, Virramall, and Tutuban (kay Louie V., Ever Commonwealth).

Now that you know our class a little better, why not check out the students in SLR.
