A LIFE ON THE OCEAN WAVES

The team journeyed to Khalil. There they secured the services of Papa Shango,a 7ft tall rastafarian half troll and his crew. His ship "The Goodfather" was soon home to the adventurers,Throgmorton and an old drow priest who claimed to be Elghorahn's half-brother

.

The journey north was several days old when they came across a wreck of a dwarven dreadnaught,"the Zaragotha" although holed below the waterline it was still afloat. Curiosity, outweighing common sense, led the team to investigate further. It was soon discovered that a vicious and dangerous sea creature,a psuedopod, was using the wreck as a lure to trap other ships.A bloody battle ensued and several crewmen were consumed by the deadly creature, several fireballs later and the psuedopod fled below the waves badly injured.

Later on the journey,a neoghoul was discovered. It was trying to take Traxus' frostbrand back to Davorak, the leader of the vampires. The foul beast was destroyed and the sword ,much to the dismay of Greywillow, was flung into the sea. However, unbeknown to him,the ring he had taken from "the boy who wished" (part 3) granted wishes to the wearer. So, when he found the sword lying on his bunk,he was very suprised. He hid it and vowed to study it as soon as possible. He was not going to let the others throw it away again.

The ship then navigated the Obsidian channel, between Karas and the Obsidian lands. They were fired upon by a fort on the Karas side of the channel but were not hit. The boat moored at a small town called Southport. It was the scene of wholesale slaughter. Many men had been killed and mutilated by something huge and possibly breathing out some sort of rotting disease.Massive claw marks were found in the ground, along with a few odd looking harnesses .Not a single soul seemed alive here.

Seeing the horror of all this ,Throgmorton wept,he raised his hand and pointed to a structure on a hill several miles away,"There is Faerlight castle, but if this happened so close I do not think we will like what we find." Feeling that Throgmorton and the old drow priest were a liability in a combat situation, they were left in the care of Shango who vowed to wait for at least 2 weeks before withdrawing to the seas
