Biography:
Subrata Ray (b 1947) obtained M.Sc., Ph.D. degree from Calcutta University. He is an Associate of Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Calcutta.
He worked at Saha Institute of Nuclear Phyics, Calcutta, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Bombay, Regional Computer Centre, Calcutta, University of Burdwan, Burdwan, West Bengal, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, West Bengal, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Calcutta.
His field of interest is Programming Language and its Applications, Linux Cluster, Desktop Publishing, Computer Aided Poster Design.
He is an amateur photographer. Occasionally he writes short stories in Bengali.
