The second specimen, one of the three Zoq-Fot-Pik co-operative species (we have reason to believe that it's the Fot. What reason? Well, when you see them, this one's always in the middle, and "Fot" is in the middle of...okay, so it's just a guess! Get off my back, man! Get off my back!), is a lot simpler than the genetically advanced Ur-Quan Kzer-Za. It's small body meant that only a few surgical slits were needed to reveal the things innards.

As you can see, where the Fot's eye once was is now a messy, gory hole. This we attribute to the Fot's natural defence mechanism; that is, when something attempts to bite it's eye out, said organ will then violently explode. Not incidentally, this discovery coincided with the early retirement of esteemed scientist Dr. Magwitch.

The tissue around the wound is a deep crimson, similar to human tissue. The Fot body contains huge quantities of blood and body fluid, as we discovered recently (the stains are still on the walls...). The plasma containing the blood cells also contains large quantities of mutated platelets, which will almost instantly attempt to seal any wound, preventing the loss of blood and the entrance of any dangerous bacteria.

The upper of the two insertions reveals the Fot's elaborately constructed brain. Made up of two dozen roughly spherical nodules, the brain is primitive but effective. Further research revealed why the Fot has never been seen to talk; the nodule that deals with speech and communication is damaged, apparently a genetic defect that is passed down by the Fot. Because of this, they are unable to talk to others, and can only make their thoughts known via wild eye movements.

The Fot is descended from a hybrid reptile / plant creature, an extremely slow and ponderous creature. Once the Zoq-Fot-Pik union was formed, and the race's technology had advanced far enough, the Fot began to utilise suspensor platforms for movement. It can move without this, albeit slowly, by stretching and compressing it's ribs, which are directly below the eye.
