The Yehat History
Once the Pkunk left Yehat space, the Yehat civilization was devastated. With 2 thirds of it’s population dead or gone. Most of the Yehat population was situated around the Homeworld, but all the other colonies fell and were all but destroyed by neglect. In effect the Queen ordered as many people as possible to reinhabit the colonies.
It took decades for the Yehat to return to normal and even then they didn’t have the same strength as before. Thus because of the Pkunk’s ‘betrayal and dishonor’ they hated them and if they were ever to find out were the hide they would go and destroy them. They were planning to launch scout missions once the Yehat were much more powerful, but by then they found the Shofixti (who were believed to be uplift, not just by interest and respect for their bravery, but also to scout to find the Pkunk. The Yehat weren’t good at scouting) and then they got into the war against the Hierarchy.
When the Queen abolished religion because of the Pkunk, there were major social changes. Before they were honorable because god would let them go to heaven, but with no religion they had no direct motivation to be honorable, which is what the Queen still wanted them to be.
They were going through what humans went through in the late 20th century and early 21st century, only MUCH worse. Atheism was taking over and the population was unable to handle it; suicides and terrorism grew to a new high. But eventually advancements in Yehat psychology and the greater population beginning to understand that honor was always better than suicide final stabilized the society.
In 2076 the Yehat discovered the Shofixti. They watched their society and fell in love with them because even though they had a primitive culture they still had a similar honor system like the Yehat, and so the Yehat made contact with. Well the Shofixti attacked them at first but the Yehat just loved them even more because they didn’t care how powerful the people were they weren’t going to let anyone invade their home.
It took a few years for the Yehat to be on their good side, but it happened. The Yehat then began technologically uplifting them and changing their entire society. The Shofixti looked up to the Yehat like gods and the Yehat loved the Shofixti like their children. The Shofixti were officially completely uplifted by the year 2110.
Once the war between the Alliance and the Hierarchy really began the Yehat were important to the war effort against the Hierarchy. They alone were able to hold back most of the VUX and the Mycon. Eventually though the Hierarchy won the war. When Earth fell, so did the Alliance, only the Yehat and the Shofixti slicked together because they were so close.
When the Ur-Quan came to conquer the Shofixti, the Shofixti decided to destroy themselves instead of surrendering. The Yehat were grief-stricken and when the Ur-Quan came to destroy them, the Queen surrendered, which added to the dishonor. The Queen surrendered because she new that she would never win against them, so surrender was the only option that she could choose… and keep her throne.
During the Slave Revolts the great human Captain incited rebellion amongst the Yehat so they could help him with the battle against the Ur-Quan. By this time the Yehat already absorbed the Pkunk and the Pkunk sympathized with the Zeep-Zeep clan(the clan in lead of the rebellion) and helped them. The Pkunk used their clairvoyance to defeat the Yehat and Queen and once she was defeated a Pkunk (the oldest Pkunk soul at the time) took her place and helped the Captain defeat the Ur-Quan.
Now the Pkunk are assimilating the Yehat into their culture and way of life.
