Cygwin Cygwin is a free software package
that gives the Unix command line enthusiast (like me) an opportunity
to have most of the really useful command-line tools that Unix and
Linux can provide. So far, it has no to limited support for graphical
applications, but if you are happy with the graphical applications
basic Windows provides, but merely want a decent command line to
replace the DOS window (which is terrible), then investigate Cygwin.
Unfortunately, there aren't too many sites devoted to this software
(at least that I have found). Below is a list of the sites that I have found.
