Religious Poetry

Your God's Pollution
He is your comfort
Your only hold on life
He makes you live justly
He tells you what is right
Without Him you feel empty
For He controls your mind
Whether lonely, sad, or helpless
Inner-peace with him you find
So you put all your dreams in Him
And invent a thing called faith
You force your ideas on other people
And pollute the human race

The book is your life
The cross is your knife
The lord is your wife
Your God cures the fright

The book is your direction
Filling up your soul
Giving your life meaning
And making you feel whole
The words are filled with answers
To other people’s doubt
They fill you up with their false pride
And life is hopeless without
So you put all your dreams in Him
And invent a thing called faith
You force your ideas on other people
And pollute the human race

The devil is the night
The ending is in sight
The world is but a flight
Bliss lies in the afterlife

Religion
I wont turn my back on living
I let it gnaw upon my bones
It takes a bite, its teeth are sinking
Intruding on my sacred home
Satan is the spawn of mankind
God is such a useless term
Worshipping the death of a man
While trying not to be burned
Shivering in cold ignorance
Honoring the secrecy
Reading without seeing the words
And believing foolishly

I Believe
I don't believe in miracles
I don't believe in god
I believe in what I feel
I believe in what I saw

I don't believe in charity
I don't believe in gifts
I believe in mockery
I believe in rifts

I don't believe in happiness
I don't believe in souls
I believe in reality
I believe in growing old

I don't believe in honesty
I don't believe in worth
I believe in corruption
I believe in earth

Infectuous Destination
Infecting your head
Influencing you dreams
Altering your life
How right it should seem
That you are nothing more
Than a breathing machine

It is over the horizon
But ever out of reach
You listen to the words
That you are taught to preach
And you believe the words
As they attach to leach

By replacing your values
You are losing yourself
By imagining your future
You get lost within the wealth
Of the happiness that comes
By putting your life on the shelf

The destination is ideal
And the setting there is prime
If you waste your life
And give up all your time
One day you will reach it
But be afraid of what you find

For there was nothing in it
But it made you feel complete
When you are wandering idly
To it you shall retreat
With a perfect world as your ally
How can anything compete?

It
You gave It your thoughts
You gave It your mind
You gave It your soul
All It took was your time
Money out of your pocket
Time out of your day
It took thoughts right out of your head
And then It left you far away

Live Life Today
I try to live today,
Forget about tomorrow.
When I reach the end
I'm left with only sorrow.
I tried to climb so high
But I've lost the time I borrowed.
When my life is done,
There's nothing left to follow.
So I try to live today,
And forget about tomorrow…
