From Chris Lalone to Colleen Proffitt. Colleen had this to say about the gourd gift she received: I adore the shape. My photo does not do justice to the delicate coloring of the pyroengraved leaves and flowers around the hole for the bird. It is just beautiful and I feel so lucky to have received it.

Dan Stalker sent this beauty to Ronna Wuttke. Here's what Ronna wrote to the gourdpatch: I received my bird house today from Dan Stalker in Australia!!!! It is absolutely beautiful!!!! It is a burgundy color with a wood burned and gold sort of weaving pattern around it...similiar to celtic knots. Dan said it was the first one he ever crafted and I feel very fortunate. It has 3 tassels made out of gumnuts... great pods..they are painted gold and resemble the top of mosques...very neat!!!

From Melody Haskins to Kathleen Thome.
This message was from Katie Thome when she received her gourd: I GOT IT, I GOT IT, I GOT IT!!!!!!!! When I came home from work today there was this big box sitting on my kitchen table from Australia. Was I excited? Well all else took 2nd place to opening it. Melody sent me the most beautiful stained and carved bluebird house. It says "Katie's Bluebird of Happiness House" Well I can tell you that it won't be going outdoors to have birds poo in this one! Thank you Mel !!!!!!!!!!! God Bless, Katie, from Iowa

From Ruth Arnold to Melody Haskins. A beautiful blue bird house with Ruth's lovely painted flowers. I wish everyone could see the details in her design.

From Gene Endicott to Nancy Hardesty.
What lovely Butterflies! The detail is terrific! I am very lucky to be
the owner of such a wonderful Butterfly house. Thank you very
much Gene, I will treasure it always.

A note from Iris: Hi.....just got back from a 3 week vacation and found my birdhouse at the PO waiting for me. It is a wonderfully crafted birdhouse with a golden glow over-all and fireflies painted on it. Teri Van Patten sent it and enclosed a note with a wonderful sentiment: "...dragonflies...symbolize our ability to soar over the rough spots in life and to transform problems into triumphs. May you always soar". All in all it was a terrific welcome-home surprize for me!

The next photo is a lovely gourd house from Colleen Proffitt to Betty Hickman

Here's a note from Gourdchuck regarding his gift from Mark Woodworth: Quite frankly, Mark
makes me just a little envious. When I opened the box and took all the wrapping off the birdhouse
Ruth and I simply just sat and stared and marveled at the vast amount of time and effort which went
into this project. And then he went and made it so it sits perfect for shelf display. Ruth grabbed it and
said; " I have the perfect place for it to be displayed. " ......... probably throw something that I did
out the door to make room for it --- maybe even my big mounted bass. Like I said --- I'm not real
sure if ................ Seriously, we are greatly impressed with Mark's workmanship and appreciate the
opportunity to have one of his gourds in our possession. This is a real treasure. God bless The
