There are 5 temples. One in the forest (Kokiri Forest), one on a high mountain (Death Mountain), One under a vast lake (Lake Hylia), one within the house of the dead (Graveyard), and one within a goddess of the sand (Colossal Dessert). You finally meet Sheik. Head to If you have at least 70 gold, head over to Lon-Lon Ranch for your own horse. Talk to the new ranch owner of Ingo, and practice riding a horse. If you believe you are ready, say you want to ride again. Play Epona's Song. A grown Epona will approach you. Get on it, and talk to Ingo. He will challenge you to a race. Win it, and he will challenge you again. Win this time, and he gives you the horse. If you are having trouble winning, get by him with speed on corners, and never go to zero carrots. Epona gets worn out and goes very slow. Ingo now traps you inside Lon-Lon Ranch with your horse. To leave, gallop towards any low wall, or gate bordering the outside.

Now head towards Kakariko Village. If you ever want to call your horse, use Epona's Song. Once you are at Kakariko Village. Go in the graveyard. Go all the way to the left, and it is the gravestone on the end. Pull on it from behind and it opens. Go inside. You must beat Dampe in a race, and he will give you the hookshot. This allows you to enter the Forest Temple, deep in the lost woods, where Saria sat before, in the Sacred Forest Meadow. Keep rolling, and don't fall into his flame, and you should be fine. Now you can enter the Forest Temple! First though, I would like to obtain Biggoron's Sword.

Biggoron's Sword

First of all, we need to have all aspects of the route open. Go up Death Mountain and into Goron City. Go down to the floor second highest, one lower than you are now. Stop the little tike with a bomb. Speak to him again, after he stops talking. He has your same name! He gives you the Goron Tunic. More important, the doors are now open. Go into the door where you met Darunia before, on the bottom floor. Go up to the statue and pull it. Go behind the statue to see what is inside. To survive inside, the fire cloak must be on. This part of the route is open now.

Go to the Zora's Fountain in Zora's Domain. Us the plant you planted as a youth to help you get there. Go to the left into the corner. This is the ice cavern. We need to get some blue fire, to unfreeze King Zora. Use the ice islands to hop there. Go straight, until you come to the first room. Kill the Freezard, while watching out for its freeze breath. Go through the passage. Keep getting jars, and life. If you keep going you will find a room with a spinning blade. Look at for this, as you collect the silver rupees. For one of them, you need to climb a platform, and jump off to get it. Climb up to where the door opened. Keep going forward through the next room, and go into the passage ahead. This is a room with the blue fire! Watch out for the Ice keese, and the freezards. Climb the platform ahead. Hookshot anyone? Take out the enemies. Hop the platforms to where a strange blue flame is coming out of a torch in the ground. Capture some in a bottle, and leave the way you came. Go to where the king is sitting. When standing next to him, let some of it go. He will unfreeze, freeing up the last part of the route. He gives you the Zora Tunic.

Know we can start the route. Go to Kakariko village to find the first item. If you haven't gotten Epona the horse yet, I would do so know. Follow the directions stated above. Go to the lady who had the chickens. She is by the entrance to the graveyard. Take her pocket egg. Near the beginning steps to start up death mountain, there is a house. There are two women and a man inside. After the pocket egg hatches, use it to wake him up. You can use the sun's song to speed up the chicken hatching. Play it twice and it hatches! Wake up the man.

Go back to her and give the chicken lady the chicken back. Take the blue Cojiro, and go to Kokiri Forest, into the lost woods. As you enter, take your immediate left. There is a grotesque man sitting there. Give him Cojiro, and he gives you an odd mushroom. Here is your first timed mission. This is a synch if you have Epona. Go out of the Kokiri forest and call Epona if she isn't there. Ride her to Kakariko Village (to the edge of the stairs on the outside). Go to the stairs on the left as if you were going to Death Mountain. Just after the second set turn right into the potion shop (if it isn't morning, play the sun's song. Go left into the opening there, and you will be behind the house. Fall down, and go up the stairs to the right. Go in the door. There is an old hag behind a desk. Show her the odd mushroom, quick! (make sure your blue icon says speak). She gives you the odd potion.

Go back to the forest, where the man sat. There is a girl there now. Give her the odd potion, and she gives you the Poacher's Saw. Go directly behind where the opening to Lon-Lon Ranch is and you will find Gerudu's Valley. For help, look on the map. There is a broken bridge here. With Epona, gallop and full speed, and she will jump it. There is a man on the other side. Give him the Poacher's Saw. He will give you the Broken Goron's Sword. Ride up Death Mountain. Remember where the Fairy Fountain is? That's where we are going. Its right by the mountain side entrance to Death Mountain Crater. Once you get up there, don't go inside the Fairy Fountain, instead, go to the wall on the right. A giant Goron rises. Give him the broken Goron Sword and he gives you a prescription, and the promise that he will fix the sword if you get him some eye drops. Go see the unfrozen King Zora.

Give him the prescription and he gives you an Eyeball Frog. Hurry! You need to go to Lake Hylia. Don't try to warp either. This spoils the ingredients. Go into the flow of the river to save time. With Epona, jump the steel fence to Lake Hylia and ride! Go to the little house by the lake. There is a man in here. Give him the Eyeball Frog, and he gives you the World's Finest Eye Drops! The Last Timed Mission! Go to Kakariko Village, up Death Mountain, and into Goron City. Go through the door on the bottom floor, and go behind the statue we opened before. Go to the right over the bridge, and jump down to the other level, when you reach the boulder on the other side. Climb up the ladder and turn to the right and go up the stairs and out of Death Mountain Crater. Quickly turn to the left wall, and give the Big Goron some the World's Finest Eye Drops. The sound is carried over the valley. He gives you the Claim Check for your Sword. Jump down, so Big Goron is out of sight. Play the Sun Song about six times. Wait for the sound that the time of day has changed (rooster and wolf), then play it again. Go back up to claim, your sword. Give him the claim check and he gives you Biggoron's Sword! This sword is Almost twice as strong and twice as powerful as the Master Sword.

Head towards the Kokiri Forest. Go into the Lost Woods and go to the Sacred Forest Meadow. Go all the way to where you met Saria before. If that little boy blocks you, play Saria's Song. He will let you pass. When you reach the Sacred Forest Meadow, there will be guards, shoot them with you hookshot from behind. Then you will see I giant guard with a club. Weave back and forth to dodge the blasts, while getting closer. Get behind him, and hit him several times. He gives you a lot of money. You find Sheik there. She teaches you the Minuet of Forest. Use the hookshot to get up there, by aiming it at the tree branch.

Forest Temple

As you enter, there are two Wolfos. Kill them. Climb the vines to the top of the tree. Go to the end of the branch and aim at the treasure box with your hookshot. You will be pulled towards the box. Open it to get your first key. Hop down and go inside the door. Its another skulltula. Just wait until it turns around and hit it with your sword. You can see the four mini-bosses take the flame that works the elevator into separate wings of the level. Go down the stairs and into the door that is straight ahead. Go up the stairs and enter. There is a blue bubble in here. Stun it with your hookshot, kill it, and continue.

Here you face two stalfos. Defeat them and open the chest. It is a key. There is a fairy in one of the jars. You can use it, or put it in a bottle, and it will revive you to full life if you die. Go back out into the main area, and down the stairs. Now turn to your right. There is a blue block here. Play the Song of Time and go through the door. The Big Deku Baba plant faces you. Slice its stem once and it's gone. Go to the right where some vines are. Kill the skullwalltulas, except for the highest one, which you can't reach. Continue up, and look out for the high one, because it will turn purple. Kill the blue bubble, and a chest appears. Open it to find the dungeon map. Go through the door. Kill the enemies, then use your hookshot, on the black target, and go to the ledge with the switch. Hit the switch and the water in the well will lower. Go into the now drained well. Go down to the end and get the key inside the chest. Climb up and jump down. Go back out the door.

Go to the door to your right, and up the stairs. Go inside. Kill the skulltula and continue. There is another blue bubble here. Kill it and go up the ladder straight ahead. Go up the other ladder, and turn the corner. Go left, then forward. Go left, so you are looking over the edge, and go left again. Turn in here, and push the block from behind forward. Push it until there is no space for you to pass, but it is all the way into the hall. Climb up the ladder to your right. Turn left at the top, and fall down. Go through the little doorway, and go up to the green block, and keep pushing, until it hits the wall. Go left and back around to the left side of the block, where you keep pushing.

Climb up the block above, and do the same with the red block. Pull it as far as you can and then, go down and use the ladder to get to the other side of it. Push it all the way, go back down, and use the green block to go back to the original spot where you were pulling it and push it into place. Climb up it and turn the corner to the right. Climb the ladder there. Turn the corner and defeat or ignore the blue bubbles. Either way, go through the door. Use your key to open the door. Go down the twisted passage, and turn to the right locked door. Look for your shadow getting large, or a strange sound. If you see or hear either of these, move! The monsters that hang from the ceiling send you back to the beginning without saving, and will freak you out when it first happens.

Go into the door. There are stairs here, and pictures. Go to the bottom of the stairs, and into the door. Fight the stalfos here. Two more will come down on a platform. Kill them, and a chest will appear. You must kill the second one quickly, or the first will resurrect. Open the chest to find a fairy bow! Now you can fire arrows. Go back out the way you came. Remember the guy in the pictures laughing at you? We'll show him! Go to one of the pictures with the guy in it. Shoot it with an arrow and it will disappear. Do this to all three painting and one of the four mini-bosses will face you. It is the red one. (Note: If you went to the other side, you will be facing the blue one). Look in the boss section for more on red Poe sister, Joelle. After she dies, a chest appears, and the red flame returns to the torch. Open the chest. It is another key! Go to the other side, and do the same thing to face the second of the four mini-bosses. Look in the boss section for more on Beth, one of the poe sisters. She dies, and a chest appears. Open it go back through the door, through the other door, and up the stairs.

Go back down the twisted hall, and go outside. See the eye above the door? Shoot it and the hall straightens out. Go down the hall. The room is turned a different direction now. Open the big chest for the boos key, and fall down the hole. The things on the ceiling can't get you when you are on a ladder or opening a chest. There are some blue bubbles down here. Kill them and go through the door. Kill the plant here, and go through the door on the right. You face one of the monsters that hang on the ceiling, but on the ground. It is a floormaster. When it separates into three little hands, kill them before they turn back into the big hand. Open the chest for another key. Go out and go into the door on the right.

Go back to where the eye you shot is. Shoot it again. Go down the crooked passage, back to where you fought the blue poe, on the other side. Go up the stairs and through the locked door. Fall down and climb the ladder to the right. There are some green bubbles in this room. Wait until their shield is down, then smash them with your sword. Go through the locked door. Jump onto the rotating platforms. Wait until the flame is between the eye and you, and fire an arrow. It will melt the ice and hit the switch. This is a sad excuse for the flame arrows, but it works. Go out the now twisted hall. Go into the room with the monsters, and fall into the corner hole.

This room has a falling ceiling, so watch out. Go to the right for a gold skulltula. It is on the wall to the right. In the room where the ceiling is falling, look at the shadows for skulltulas and watch where the ceiling lands for open spaces. Hit the switch, get the chest, and go through the door. Here you must solve a puzzle to face the green poe sister, Amy. Look in the boss section for more info.

The green poe dies, and her flame returns to the torch. Go through the open door. Kill the skulltula and continue. Jump off into the middle to face the final poe sister, the purple poe, Meg. Look in the boss section for more info on Meg.

With all of the flames back in place, the elevator starts to work again. Go down it. You are in room with two pillars, and two locked doors. Just push the pillars, and kill the enemy, hit the switches, or get the gold skulltula that appears through the openings as you push the pillars. Then go through the now open way to the boss room and open the door with the boss key. Here you face Phantom Ganon. Look in the boss section for more info on Phantom Ganon.

Ganon congratulates you and banishes his worthless ghost creation to the gap between dimensions. Take the heart container and step into the light. Saria, the sage of the Forest Temple faces you. She talks to you and gives you the Forest Medallion. Saria will always be... Your Friend...

You have created the Deku Tree sprout, by breaking the Forest Temple. The sprout also that you are a Hylian, and explains more of the legend, though, why does the sprout know so much? It was just born! Go back to the Temple of Time to learn more from Sheik. You learn the Prelude of Light. You can finally learn that blasted last top row song! Go to the windmill in Kakariko Village. It is by the fence and the graveyard, up the steps. Talk to the man. He speaks of some mean ocarina kid. Take out your ocarina. He will repeat the song he remembered hearing. He teaches you the Song of Storms.

Go to Goron City. Now if you haven't done so yet, bomb that little guy that is rolling around(if you did the Biggoron sword section you can skip the next few things. He has your name! He gives you the Fire Tunic, and the doors open. Fall down and go into Darunia's Room. Grab the statue, and go behind it. Once you are in Death Mountain Crater, go straight, to the broken bridge, and hookshot over. Go forward and you will learn another song from Sheik. She teaches you the Bolero of Fire, and disappears in a flick of white. Keep going forward to the Fire Temple. Go down the ladder and straight.

Fire Temple

You are in the main room. Avoid the fire-keese and go into the left door. You can see Darunia. Listen to his story, and jump along the left side, to where the switch is, to rescue your first Goron. Open the chest for your first key. Go back out, to the main room. This time, go to the other door, the locked one. Jump in the lava, to go to the left door, but don't stay in too long, or you'll get burned! Go down the corridor, to the switch. Release the Goron, talk to him, and get the key. Go back out the door, and walk across the way, to the wall, on the opposite side. Obviously, blow up the wall, and go through the door. Hit the switch, and do the drill.

Go straight and to the right, through the locked door. Slide down the ramp. There is a shooting fire pit inside a cage. Climb the right side of the cage. There are two choices. If you want the life, kill the bats to the right. If you have done this, or don't need it, go to the other side. Drop down behind the block and push! It will fall down into the hole. Jump on it, but don't overshoot, or you will have to try again from the top of the platform. It takes you to a room above. Go through the locked door, the only choice. There is a locked Goron below. We will free him later, from the other side. Kill the easy torch slugs and jump behind the block, on the other side. Push it off, and slide it to the end.

Climb up it, and jump to the ledge now available. Climb up the chains, and go over to the other side. Do you remember seeing a diamond switch? Throw a bomb down there from above, and if you do it right, the switch will click, and you will see the fire go down. Climb the chain and go through the door. This is the boulder maze room. Look out for the rolling boulders, and keep going until you find a big under-covering with a door. Go through it. Go down yet another passage, free the Goron, get the tip, and the key. Keep going along the wall, until you find the locked door. You can now go through it with your key, but there is another locked door inside, so don't bother yet. Eventually you will find another covering and a switch, hit it to get the key and free the Goron.

Now you can go back to that locked door we saw before. First, shoot an arrow at the eye on the wall. The door on the right will unlock. Go inside that door, and open the chest to find the Dungeon Map. Go out, and carefully walk across the walkway. If you fall down, be ready to start from the beginning again. It's not worth it. Go in the locked door. Now you are in a room with lava on the floor, and a metal, chain-link walkway. Jump onto the walkway, and a wall of fire starts to chase you. Keep going to the very end, where the metal stops, and jump onto the platform. Go up and into the door.

If you are trying to eventually get all of the skulltullas, this is where you would play the Scarecrow's Song, and hookshot to the scarecrow that appears. If you don't know what I am talking about, then you haven't talked to Pierre the scarecrow in Hyrule Lake, and then again as an adult. Jump to the platform before you. There is a giant crack here. What to do... Bomb it of course! Before you go down there is another Goron across the way to save. Hit the switch to open the gate. Go over, get the key, and talk to him. Now go back to where the crack was, and fall down. Follow the hall down to the Goron. This is the Goron from before, that we saw from the other side! Do the drill, then climb back up and through the door you came in. On the far side of the wall now, you can see a locked door. Head over there. You might not think that you can make the jump up from the metal walkway to the ledge, but you can! Jump up and go through the locked door.

Go down the famous brown corridor, and into the new room. There are some fake doors, and fire keese in here, so be careful! Jump down and go straight. There is fake door in front of you. Look out for the fire walls that won't let you through. Find the right path to get to a door on your right against the wall. Go through, and open the chest for the compass. Go back through to where the fake door was. You need to go to the door on the left. There is a path you need to take to get to the door. Go left through the two pillars, straight until the fire-wall, then left one where the fire isn't, left one again, your right, left one, straight, and then your left to the locked door, and into it. If you can't find the path, check the way to see if it works. If you see flame, try a different route. Go through the door on the other end, and ignore this Goron for now.

You are now on the other side. Make your way to the switch. It lets the fire down to the way ahead, but first, make sure you know the way to get there, or you will not make it in time. It is simply, through the two pillars on you left (where you came in to the switch) and then straight the ledge up ahead. Don't be tricked. This is the way! Even though there is a fake door, you can bomb it to find the real door. Go through to fight the mini-boss. Look in the boss section on my Zelda home page, to find out more on the Flare Dancer.

After it dies, hop on the platform and go up. If it goes up without you, there is a red floor panel that sends it back down. Go through the door and into this new room. Here is a diamond switch that de-activates the flame barrier on the metal wall side. Remember how we did this before? This time any weapon will do, as long as it can be thrown. Hit it, and climb the wall. Go through the door. Again, don't fall down the hole, or you will start from way down there again. The object is to hit the switch, and make it up the steps to the treasure box to get the treasure, before the switch turns off. If you hate keese, or get annoyed by them, I would suggest killing these before you start.

Open the chest to find... The legendary Megaton Hammer. You can use this immediately. There is a little block square thing sticking up by the switch and the door. Hit it with the Megaton Hammer and it will fall down. Fall through. There is a statue in this room. Go up to the side of it, and hit it with the Megaton Hammer. The blocks will shrink into nothing every time you hit them. Do this until the door is shown. Go through it. Kill the fire keese and leave the boxes intact! Hit the square stone pillar, and there will appear stairs below. Here is where you need the boxes. Take one and set it on the blue switch. This will keep it working, so you can go through the door.

Go through the door. There is another square to hit with your Megaton Hammer. Fall down on top of it, and turn around. There is a rusty switch. If you stand on it... nothing. You need to use your trusty Megaton Hammer again. Go through the door. You need to jump to the other side to the blue block. If you miss, go back to the block you fell down on, go through the door, and try again. If you have a straight bearing, and hold down forward, you should make it. Play the song of time in front of the block. If you have forgotten it, look at your songs again. There is now a rusty switch here. Hit it with your Megaton Hammer, and talk to the now free Goron and get the key. Climb back up the blue block, and go through the door. Jump to the middle platform, and hit the middle with the Megaton Hammer. Fall down on top of it. You can't face the boss yet. You still need the boss key.

Go out the door and down the main steps. U-turn to your left, and go down the way to the statue. Remember how we dealt with the last statue? Go to the side of it, and use the Megaton Hammer to hit the blocks out of the way, to find the locked door. Go inside. Kill everything in the room. There are fire-keese and several torch slugs. This will unlock the door. Go through it to find, pieces of the floor flying at you. There are about five of them. Then comes the dreaded shield-eater. I would suggest shooting him with a few arrows from afar, or else he will eat your cloak and your shield. If he does, hack at him fast! He will give you your stuff back. Go through the door to re-face the mini-boss. Look in the boss section for help on the Flare Dancer. There are some bombs in the chest.

Go through the door. Go down the corridor and hit the rusty switch. Talk to the Goron and get the boss key. Go forward through the door. You will be back in the main room. Go up the stairs and in the door to the left of course. Jump to the platform on the right, go to the next one, and then hookshot over to the target. Climb it and go over and up to where the jars are. You should go here before facing the boss, (infinite times) to have full energy. You should also capture a few in a bottle to rejuvenate you should you die. Now jump down and go back to the opening door. Go straight, and walk into the bosses' lair... For more info on Volvagia look in the boss section.

Volvagia dies in a fiery as his body turns to ashes, and his head falls in front of you. Grab the heart and step into the light. The sky around Death Mountain clears, and you are back in the chamber of sages. Darunia, the sage of fire talks to you. He gives you the Fire Medallion. Don't forget, now you and I are true brothers...

Hookshot to the other side of the bridge, on your right, and go over the bridge on the left. There are two boulders on your right. Use the Megaton Hammer on the boulders, and they will break. Enter for another Great Fairy Fountain. She is the great fairy of wisdom. She gives you the double magic meter. To get to the Water Temple, we need the Iron Boots found in the Ice Cavern. The Ice Cavern is located in the corner of Zora's Fountain. I started this on my quest for Biggoron's sword (see section above).

Go out of the Death Mountain Crater, and go to Zora's River. Go all the way to Zora's Domain, and up to the king. If you don't have the Biggoron Sword, you probably will not have unfrozen him, and there will be a red fire trapping him. We can free him later with blue flame. Head forward into Zora's Fountain. Look on the map as you enter. See the big black spot? This is the ice cavern. Before you go to the ice cavern, you can now obtain Farores' Wind. It is a warp point that can be used for say, if you would like to come back there or if you frequently died there. Go into the corner opposite the ice cavern. There is a little island here. Blow up the wall behind the fake wall with a bomb. Enter the cave to get Farore's Wind. Now you can enter the Ice Cavern. Use the ice bergs to jump up there. Enter.

Ice Cavern
Put the blue flame into all of your bottles. You can use it right away. Go over to the chest covered with a red aura, or fire. Pour some blue fire on it, and the red aura disappears. Open it to find the dungeon map.

If you want a red rupee, use some blue fire on the jar, if not, keep going. Make sure you are full on blue fire before you leave. Go back to the room with the spinning blade. This time, go up to the red wall, and use some blue fire on it. Beware! There are two of these. You don't have to worry about wasting a fire, because you will have to go the other way next. Go through where the red aura was(not the one by the stairs). Go down to the room. You should see a small room with fire straigh ahead, no blocks, and a some ice to knock down. If you see a big room with blocks, you need to go back and in the other side.

Go forward, kill the keese, and refill on blue flame. Go over to your right, and melt the red fire around the chest. You might want to kill the keese before you do this. Open it to find the compass. Refill on blue fire, and go out to the room with the spinning blade. Go over to the other red fire and melt it. Go down the long corridor. You will come to a big room with blocks and blue fire in the distance. Start out by killing the annoying ice-keese. The object of the blocks is to get all of the silver rupees, and then go through the open door. Go straight to the block in front of you, by the entrance. Push it straight. Climb on it, and grab the token. Push this one off into the misty area in the corner. It will sink and reappear where it started.

Go back to the same block. This time, get on the right site (right when your backside is facing the entrance), and push it forward. Climb it and get the token. Jump down, and push it towards the one to your right. Go to where it went, and get the silver rupee. Jump down, and get the rupee on the little small platform below. Push the block you were using before in the pit in the corner. Go back to where it is, and with your back to the entrance, push forward. Now, get on the left side, and push it forward. Climb up the side to the rupee in the red fire. Melt it with your blue flame. With this last one, the door opens. Push this block into the pit. The last challenge is to get the block over to climb up to the door.

Go to the right of it, and push it forward. Go to the left of it, and push it forward. Go to the left of it and push it forward. Go to the left of it, and push it forward yet again. Go to the left of it one last time, and push forward. It will slide forward, making you able to walk up there. Go up climb up there, and keep going forward. You will come to a place where the path is lined with red fire. Go to the middle, and melt both at once. Make sure you are close enough! Go through the door to face the supposed boss. His only purpose is to guard the iron-boots. This boss doesn't even deserve a spot in the boss section, simply hit it once with your biggoron's sword, and he dies. Lure him towards you, wait for him to drop his guard, and cha-ching! The wolf is dead. Open the chest, and get the iron boots

Shriek teaches you the Serenade of Water. This warps you right near the water temple. You don't have to use it yet! Try out your iron boots on the water hole, if you have your water cloak (on). You will now be in the first room. Even if you didn't go down, make sure you have at least one bottle of blue fire, if you haven't unfozen the king, yet, and go out. If you have already unfrozen him, skip to the next paragraph. Backtrack out of the ice cavern. Go up to king zora, and unfreeze him. Tadaa! He gives you the Zora Tunic. If you have any more blue fire, go down and unfreeze the door on the shop.

Now you can play the Serenade of water and warp to Lake Hylia. Go straight, and fall down to the only spot in the lake with water. Put on the iron boots, and the zora tunic, and fall to the bottom, by the door. Now use your hookshot, and only your hookshot, and hit the crytal. The lock will float up, and you can enter the water temple...

Water Temple

After you enter, remove your iron boots, and float to the top. Go down the hall and jump into the water, and swim to the right. This is the main room you are in. Climb to the room you see there, as you go right. Go to the end and put on the iron boots. See the block at the end? Pull it until you can't anymore. Now go back the way you came by taking off you iron boots, and going back to the main room. Jump into the water and sink to the bottom using you iron boots. Go to the one directly beneath you on the very bottom. It has a torch on either side of the door. Go to the very end to find, gasp... Ruto! She will speak to you, and ask you to follow her. Take off your iron boots and follow her. Go through the door to face four spikes. Defeat them to get the dungeon map. Hit them once to make them vulnerable in their rock form, and then again before they recover to kill them.

Go back out, and walk up to the triforce symbol. It is one of the three switches that Ruto told you about! To activate it, play Zelda's Lullaby. The water level will go down. Whenever you see this symbol, it means that you must play Zelda's Lullaby. Have you noticed? Fall down to the very bottom. There is a barred door. Light the two torches. There are two ways that you can do this. You can use Din's fire and use up a little of your magic bar, or you can shoot an arrow through the flame, landing at where you want the flame. Din's fire is the easiest (if you have it, or you can try to shoot an arrow at both of them quickly. There are arrows in the jars, and it won't light if you aim to low. Aim high (in a reasonable amount).

There are three shell blades that you must defeat to obtain the prize. Aim at them with your hookshot and then you must fire immediately when it opens its mouth to kill it. If you don't it will come at you. Avoid it until it repeats the routine. The prize is your first key! Go back down the hall. The water is at the lowest possible. Go to the left and through the opening. When you go to the end there is strange depression. bomb it and go down in the water using the iron boots. Use the method described before to kill this shell blade. Go down to the end and float up. Hit the switch and climb on the block, and no, this is not another of the water switches. Kill the blue tektites and hookshot up there. You can go to the end to find a gate. Time to turn back? No. the switch is right there! Simply get close to the gate and whack in the direction of the switch, and it hits it! Kill the skulltulla and grab what is in the jars.

Go back the way you came using your iron boots, and taking them off at the end. Float to the top and go back to the main room. Go to the left, hop on the platform, and push the block forward. It will fall down a hole. Put on your iron boots and sink down. Walk to the end, and take off your iron boots. Hit the switch to your right, and use the water geyser to get to the other side. Watch out for the blue tektite, or you will fall down. If you do, use the hookshot target to get back up, and do it again. Go through the door. There is a strong current in this room. fall to the bottom, and use your hookshot on the switch. Maneuver over to the gate that opens, and go through. You can ignore the shell blade if you want. Float to the top, and open the chest to find another key. Hit the switch, and go back down through the gate. Go back out the way you came, into the main room.

Go to the right turn to your around once you are at the opening there. Go straight and go through the locked door with your key. Go to the end of the walkway and look back and up. There is a hookshot target there. Use your hookshot to get up there. Another water switch! Play Zelda's Lullaby to change the water level again, but make sure you are right up against the wall. Don't go in the door yet. Sink back down to the bottom. Go into the spot where the block used to be. It's a hole! Walk down to the end of the hall and into the underwater room. Go over and hit the switch using your hookshot. Be prepared to fight some guys that fall down. If you are at a distance, but close enough, you can kill the spikes in rock form imediately, but then fight the shell blades as usual. The grating in the other corner will open. Float up there. Not the one where the bad guys came from. There is a chest here. Open it for another key.

Go back through the way you came and go all of the way back to the room with the block you were in before. This time go through the door. This puts you back in the main room. If you want to go back in there you need to light the torch by the door with the two methods described earlier. Go to the right and into the place with the two jars. Go to the end, and use your hookshot to get up there. Turn around again and use it on the ceiling target. Stand by the chest and aim at the switch with an arrow. If you are fast enough, you can easily open the chest before the water comes back.

Fall down avoiding the spikes, and go back to the main room. Go all of the way around to the locked door on the other side, and go in. This is where the last water switch is! We don't need to hit it yet. First, fall down to the bottom with the iron boots. Go to the opening with the two torches, and walk through. You have been here already, but not at this water level. Go to the end and float up. When you get to the top of the water you can see a crack in the wall. Blow it up and go through. Open the chest for another key. Go back to the bottom, and go out to the main room float up. Go back to the door by the platform and go in. Do the same as before, and this time play Zelda's Lullaby.

Fall down into the water and go left. See the locked door with the platform in front of it. Unlock it with your key and go through. The object is to get to the other side using the targets on the platforms. If you wait to long though you will fall down (not on the first platform. This just goes up and down.) Hookshot up to the other side one by one. Go through the locked door. You are now in a room with three statue heads and a switch. Shoot an arrow at the switch. The water will rise. Hookshot to the statue in front of you. Go to the end of this, turn around, and use an arrow on the switch again. Look right and there is another one here. Hookshot over there and climb over the statue head. Go over and walk until the walkway stops at a wall.

Shoot another arrow at the switch, or you can use your hookshot if you are close enough. Hookshot to the statue's target on the other platform. Hookshot the switch, and climb on the statue head. While you are still on it, hit the switch one last time to rise to the top. There are two blue tektites here, and a shield-eater. If you know what the shield-eater is than don't go up to it! Keep your distance and throw bombs or use arrows. Once they are dead, use your hookshot to get to the other side. Get the two jars of magic, and go through the door. Be prepared to face Dark Link... Look in the boss section for more info on Dark Link. After he dies, the realize that the entire landscape was an illusion. The door in front of you is now opened, not barred.

Go through it. There is a chest in front of you. Open it to find the Longshot. It extends twice as far and is an upgrade for the nasty short-extending hookshot. Go up to the side of the blue block in the ground and play the Song of Time. You can't actually be standing on it, or it won't work. Fall through the hole. Don't get swallowed by the vortexes here. It means death to Link. Swim down the river. Let me guess, you got swallowed by the second one you saw, didn't you. Its okay. Just go back down and try again. If one start pulling you in, swim with B madly, or use the iron boots on solid ground outside it, and you should escape. When you get to the larger part of the river, go over to the platform in front of the eye. Of course you need to shoot it with your arrow. The gate to your left will open. Go through and open the chest to find another key.

Go down the hall, and fall back into the room with the Dragon head with the switch. Go through the door, and go back all of the way to the main room. There is nothing more to do on this level (besides the boss you face in the end). So lower the water. If you don't remember where the switch is, go down to the bottom level and through the opening with the two torches. Once at the end, take off the iron boots, and play Zelda's Lullaby at the top. We don't want this level yet either. Go through the door on the left, and longshot up to the switch. Play Zelda's Lullaby to raise the water up one level. Go out the door, and go over to where you can see an eye in the water, and a gate before you. Shoot an arrow at the eye, and use your longshot on the target to pull you quickly over there.

Go around the bends and curves until you find the block you pulled earlier. Push it this time. The block moves aside and there is a room with a chest open it to get another key. Go back out straight, not the way you came. Use your longshot to get back up. Jump down into the water and put on your iron boots. Go to the only door down here that we have not gone through, right by the big depression in the water where the spikes usually are found. Fall down with the iron boots. Once you get to the end, take off the iron boots, and float to the top. Use your longshot to get over to the other side. Unlock the door and go through. There are blue tektites everywhere in the water. If you want to, you should probably kill all of them with your arrows or Biggoron Sword for those that get too close. Go over to the other side after you are done and go through the door.

Look out! There are stingers in the water that like to fly into Link. Once all of these are killed blow up the crack in the wall on the left side. Then go over to the other side, where the wall is discolored. Blow this up to reveal another opening. Go forward to the block push opn it until you can't anymore, then go around to the other side, and pull on it until it is at the end of the wall opening, again, go around to the other side, and push it, until it falls onto the switch. The water rises and it gives you access to the metal stairs. Climb up them and go through the door. It locks behind you. Look over at the other side. See the two tektites? Shoot at them with your long shot. After they unfreeze, they run after you and fall into the little pit. Now hit the switch, and use the geysers to get to the other side.

Now you are in an area where boulders come out. Go to the right, not the left! Drop down to the bottom as you go right. Use the iron boots, and look out for the boulders. Aim up and get the skulltulla. Now go down the hall, and kill the blade shell. Float up at the end of the hall. Use your key to go through the door. Open the boss chest to find... The boss key of course! You can fill your bottles with the fairies in the two jars, or you can use one of them if you really need it. Go back out and re-fight the shell blade, then go back up to where the boulders came from. Follow thier path into the room you have already been in, and go to the door in the way you originally came (door on the right). Use the longshot to get back to the other side, and sink down using the iron boots.

Go down the passage, take off the iron boots, and float directly up. Go in the door with the platform. Wait for the blue tektite to come down, then fight him. After that, stand on the geyser, and shoot the switch to rise up. Go through the door, and play Zelda's Lullaby to raise the water back upto its fullest. Jump down and head towards the boss room. You must use the statue with the target on it to get over there. Get a few more fairies in your bottles, or use one of them, and then go through the door. You must use timing, and go in one all out run or else you will slide back down, or get hit by one of the blades. Once you are at the top, step into the boss lair... You face Morpha. Look for more info on Morpho in my boss section.

Grab the heart container and step into the light... Ruto, the sage of the water temple, talks to you. She of course grants you her eternal love. How will Link get out of this one? Phew, she can't offer that now. She gives you the Water Medallion. If you see Sheik, give him my thanks. You are transported to the Lake, where the water fills up as Sheik speaks to you. Go over to the brown tablet, and make it night with the sun song. Now wait for the sun to rise. The second it does shoot an arrow directly in to it. If you did it right, something will fall onto the sitant island. If you saw something, check it out. You will hear the sound if you did it right. Go over to the island. Pick up the item. You now have the the Fire Arrow! Go back to the land over the bridge and play Epona's song. Get on Epona and ride to Kakariko Village. Here you will learn more of the story.

Kakariko Village is burning! Sheik is waiting for you. Get back Link. The shadow takes control of Sheik, and then as you protect her, you are next. You are knocked unconcious. It is not good to know that an evil shadow spirit has been released. You learn the Nocturne of Shadow. If you haven't learned the Song of Storms yet, go into the Windmill building and talk to him, then show him your ocarina. You should have learned it. Play the Prelude of Light to warp back to the Temple of Time. Change back into child link and play the Nocturne of Shadow. Jump over the fence into the graveyard, and back into town. Go into the windmill building. Go up to the man and play the Song of Storms. The well will empty and you can enter the Bottom of the Well... The object is to find the Lens of Truth, before you can even think about visiting the Shadow Temple and its illusions.

Bottom of the Well

As you enter, there is a small hole in front of you. Crawl through it of course. Keep going forward and climb down the ladder. Turn atound so that you are looking straight ahead, and go over and kill the Big Skulltula. Wait... There is no where else to go. What to do? The wall in front of you is an illusion, go through it. You are now in the main chamber. Go around to the right, and keep going down until, you see the big shield eater to your right. Look out though, for the green skullktula that follows from behind. There is a shield eater here. Even though he is on the other side, he can still hurt you. Keep going forward, but stop as you are nearing the end. There is an invisible pit below the warning on the wall. Take a left and keep going.

Once you reach the ocarina, above half way down the hall, pull out your ocarina and play Zelda's Lullaby. Make sure you are close enough to the thing that is producing the water, or it won't work. The water goes down, and you now have access to the lens of truth. Keep going forward, and look out for the skulltula that hangs from the ceiling. Hug the left wall as you turn, because there is another invisible pit. Keep going forward, take a right if you plan to get all of the skulltulla's in the well, for there is a key that you need in there to open a door. If not, keep going straight, and back to the first room.

Go over to the big pit, right by the hole that you crawled out of. Open the chest, then crawl through the little hole. There is another Big Skulltula here. Kill it and climb up. Go through the steel door of course. Here you face the boss for the bottom of the well. Look in the boss section for more info. Open the chest and get the lens of truth! You can use it to explore the bottom of the well and to get all of the skulltulas down here, or you can leave.

Play the Prelude of Light to warp back to the Temple fo Time, and change back into adult link. Now you can proceed to play the Nocturn of Shadow to warp to the Graveyard. Walk into the area with all of the torches. The easiest way to light this is with din's fire, but I geuss you could also use fire arrows, if have already gotten them. The door opens and you can enter...

Shadow Temple

You are now in the dreaded Shadow Temple, where very few ever leave alive... Another words.. You are totally screwed. Just kidding. Besides the creepy feel of the level and those annoying things that hang from the ceiling you may have met in the forest temple, there is nothing all that new here, besides the first and only boss to use illusion.

When you enter, there is a pit you must cross using the longshot. Pretty simple, just use the longshot to cross it. You face a dead end, or do you. This level is full of little illusions like this. Simply walk right through it (or if you want, you can use the lens of truth on it, to find it is indeed fake). You face your first puzzle, though you could do anything with it right now for it only opens up the gate that you can't reach right now without and important item. Go into the left corner into the fake wall. Go down the hall and through the door.

Again, the wall you face is fake. Walk forward and turn to the right. When you read,
"Shadow Temple...
Here is gathered Hyrule's bloody
history of greed and hatred" Look with your lens of truth to your right to see a fake wall with a door. Go through it. There is a huddled undead sitting in the center of the room. Use the Sun Song to freeze him, and then quickly hack at him. Two hits with the Biggoron Sword will kill him. Now kill the two bats and you will find the chest with the dungeon map inside. Go back out and walk towards the right. There is another fake wall over here. Walk through it down to another fake wall and a new room, nearly identical to the one you came from. The room will keep spitting little riddles at you as you walk. Go to the left, past the flying jars, and into the corner, you will find the last fake wall. Inside is a door through which is the mini-boss. Defeat him to find the Hover-Boots. For more info on the Dead Hand, look in the boss section (it is pretty much the same boss from before).

Go back to the puzzle you first saw in the beginning. If you can't find the way just go straight to the opposite end of both rooms, (in the second room you are look ing for the hall with the onlt door that has a knob on it. Walk through it, and go back down the hall until the find the first puzzle.

"Make my beak face the
skull of truth.
The alternative is descent into
the deep darkness"

This riddle isn't too hard. Just drag, or push the gate until it faces the only skull that isn't illusion. First, find the real one using the lense of truth. Now you can move the gate until it points there, but never stop on one that is an illusion or a pit will appear and you will die. Now that the gate is open, you can cross the so-called valley of death by running over it with your hover-boots. Don't stop though, for they only work for as a few seconds before you fall.

Now follow the hall until you find the beamos. There are three choices, even though it looks like none, or even two with the lense of the truth. The wall to the left and to the right are illusion, while the wall straight ahead can be blown up. Go to the right hall first and into the door. OK so I lied, there are some mummies in the Shadow Temple as well as the crypt in the bottom of the well, but not many. Kill these two and open the chest to find the compass.

Now go back and down the left hall and into the room with the spinning blade. The object of course, is to get all of the silver rupees. None really are much of a challenge. The only one you have to work for is the one in the corner that has a target that you need the longshot for. The gate opens. Go into it. Open the chest to find the key that opens the door in the door in the straight hall. There is also a fake floor in the corner where you can fall and and hear a skulltulla, but you can't get it now, for the hole is blocked up. Go back out of the door you came in, and use the key on the door from the hall straight from where you first entered the beamos room.

Keep going down the hall until you can hear the fight music and a shadow from the ceiling keep killing the Big skulltullas to pass down the hall. After a little, you will come to the hall with the falling guillotines. Wait until it is safe, then walk through (you can even jump the first one from above if you don't jump when it is falling). There is a Big Skulltulla to watch out for between the two guillotines. Around the next corner a Wallmaster hangs from the ceiling just keep moving and you will be fine. If you feel brave you can hang around in the area until it falls (as long as you don't sit still) then fight it for many rupees if you win. If not, just keep going past the guillotines until you come to the last one. You don't need your hover-boots, just jump it normally. Now fight the Stalfos before continuing, or you can just run if you know where to go. Just don't fall off the edge.

There are illusionary platforms to your left, but go to the right first. Jump on the rising and falling platfrom when it is at its lowest, and then put on your hover-boots if they are not already on for the jump off when it is at its highest. Now collect the silver rupees (easy!) until the gate opens the hall beyond. Go down the hall. Use the lens of truth on the block to the right of the wall right before the falling spikes. Pull the block out, and then push it until you are protected from both of them. Now get on the other side of it and pull it the rest of the way (after getting the gold skulltulla and chest with arrows if you want them) until it stops.

Now get on top of it and jump over to the right side by getting on top of the falling spikes. It is safe, trust me. There is a chest with five rupees behing the bars. Hit the switch. A chest fell on the other side. Jump on top of the falling spikes again and then jump over there. It is another key. Get the jars if you need life, before leaving. Now go back the other way (via the falling and dropping platform with the hover-boots)and onto the invisible platforms. After going through the door and down the hall, there is a seemingly empty room. Using the lense of truth you can see the invisible blade. To open the gate, simply kill all of the bats flying around. They are visible, but usually just sitting on the wall.

Once they are killed, go through the gate and grab the two chests (one is invisible) and kill the skulltulla. Now go back to where the rising and falling platfrom is and jump to the other side (where you had to get the silver rupees to open the gate). and go down the path alongside the rising and falling platform and you can see an invisible third pathway (beyond the guillotine) ahead. There is a platform going back and forth. Take it to get to the door and jump to it and enter. Grab the rupees using the invisible longshot targets, while avoiding the spikes, after killing the two undead. After you kill them a chest with five rupees will appear. Grab it and continue getting the silver rupees. Go through the now open door.

There is a room with a big skull barrel with blue fire in it. Kill the bats before throwing a single bomb inside it. It will blow up and a key comes out. Go back out of the door. Use you lense of truth to find the hidden target above the door on the ceiling. Go inside the door. There is now a hall with hall spikes and a fan (if you walk a little) Time your walk to get by the fan blowing you back, and the hall spikes that will hit you. There is another one around the corner with a Big Skulltulla blocking the way. Kill him and keep running forward so that the fan won't blow you back into the the other one. Once it stops, run into the next hall. Now there is a pit and another fan that faces you. You know what to do. Just time your run, when wearing the hover-boots, and go, now you can fall to the walkway below.

There are fans on both sides watch out! Wait until the two first ones are stopped and the one in the distance is about to stop, and then run. If you did it correctly, you will get there when the last fan's blow is not strong enough to knock you off the side. go inside the doorway. There are two ReDeads in here (I've been calling these undeads, I apologize) Play the Sun's Song to freeze them before fighting. Kill them and read the riddle, you can also grab the hidden chest with arrows.

"Those with sacred feet should let the wind guide them to the hidden path.."

This means that you need to put on the Hover Boots outside the door and use the lense of truth to see where you need to go. The combined force of the fan and your extra seconds to reach it with the Hover Boots, should make it to that hidden path on the right side. By the way, see that eye above the door, it spits fire at you, it is not a switch! Go to the hidden path in the wall and walk through the door.

There are some more mummies in this room you must defeat, and on the map you can see that there are two chests in the room, though only one of them is a key. Kill the mummies first. Open the chest that they give you. This is the one with five rupees. Blow up that odd looking piece of dirt in the corner right from where you walked in. Use the lense of truth to find the hidden chest underneath. Open it to find the key that opens the door on the other side. Go into the door. There is a ship to your right and a block to your left. Drag the block up to the ladder so you can climb it. Once you are on the ship you can see the gold skulltulla and it can be reached with your longshot if you wish. To make the ship move, play Zelda's Lullaby on the triforce symbol.

As the ship moves, you will have to fight several stalfos. Once you can see a place to jump to your left and the ship starts shaking, jump to it! If you stay on the ship you will die. Go all the way down and into the door. You may not see them, but there are invisible walls in this room. Use your lense of truth to find the right path There are floor masters crawling around, you don't have to kill them but I would reccomend killing them. Go left the first chance you have and into the door after walking all the way down. There you must face the floormaster that can only be seen by the lense of truth. He is just like th others. Kill him and grab the chest. There is a key inside. Go back out and continue forward until you see the second door with no chests inside.

There are spinning skull barrels in this room. There is no real game value to this room (it has nothing to do with the completion of the Shadow Temple). There is a gold skulltulla behind the barrels, and if you succefully place bombs in all three of them, then they will spit out tons of rupees. If you are full, you can just skip this room. Go back out the door. Make your way to the last door on your left. It has the final key that the need- the boss key. Kill any of the hands that get in your way, as you navigate your way to the door. Oh no! I have tricked you! HA HA HA... Wait.. Getting out of this is simple. Use din's fire to burn the two boards, and kill the ReDeads. There is a chect to the left with five rupees, but the chest you really want is the big one with the majestic boss key. Get out of this room, and make your way back to the room where you got off of the ship.

Look across the chasm. See the bombs on the other side in front of the statue? Put two and two together, and shoot one of the bombs to make them all explode, the statue to fall, and a nice bridge to the other side. Go through the locked door. The final illusion. Use the lense of truth, while equiped with your handy Hover Boots to reach the door to the Shadow Temple Boss. For more on the boss, look in my boss section.

He freaks out as he dies, slapping like crazy, as he turns black and melts back into his shadow form like when you first met him in Kakariko Village. Grab the heart and step into the light.

Impa is the Sage of Shadow, she is Zelda's caretaker, and she relates to you the story of that day, seven years ago, when she rode off with Zelda. "Please look out for the princess..." Now we must go to the final temple, the only temple that the child completes a part of. The Spirit Temple is located in the Collossus Desert. First of all, let's get some the fire arrows, if you haven't already gotten them. Warp to Lake Hylia (this will only work if you have the sun song). Now go over to the big tree across the bridge (only if you came by some way other than warping, for you should have warped there). Now go up to the incribed rock that reads-

"When water fills the lake,
shoot for the morning light"

A translation of this is once you have beaten the Water Temple, shoot at the sun with an arrow and something will happen. Anotherwards, we could have done this before the Shadow Temple. Stand in this point and play it until it is night. Now play it one more time, with an arrow ready. The second the sun comes up, shoot it with an arrow. If you did it right, you will hear a sound, and see something fall on the far island. If you are having trouble hitting it, just wait in the night for a real sunset, you have a longer time to aim, and a few seconds longer to hit it. Once you have hit it, swim over to the small island and get fire arrows!

Now ride over to Gerudu Valley. It is directly behind Lon Lon Ranch on the map. When you arrive, there is a broken bridge simply ride Epona at full speed ride at the broken part and she will jump it. If you have Biggoron's Sword, you have already been on the other side. Talk to the carpenter to find that all of his carpenters are at the Gerudu Fortress. Your First task is to bring them back. Go up the path to the Fortress.

Gerudo's Fortress

Upon even trying to get close to the buildings, your warm welcome is immediately being thrown in jail. This is a sad excuse for a fortress, but it gets the job done. Get out your longshot and aim it at the wood cover above the window to escape. Upon closer inspection, you may realize that the carpenter's are also being held prisoner by this all women clan of the Gerudo. There are four of them, and your job is to rescue them. You can sedate the guards by hitting them with an arrow, but if one of them sees you, you will have to start over in the jail cell.

For the first cell, just fall down and hit the ground. Now go in the doorway. You can see the red mark on the cell door. This is the red cell prisoner. He calls to you. You have to go over and talk to him to make the Gerudo Guard fight you. Upon defeat you will be thrown back in jail, upon victory, you will get the key to the jail cell of the prisoner. The red cell prisoner is Ichiro. Speak to him to "officialy" set him free.

Go through the door ahead and when outside, the door on your left. Now stand on the box and hit the guard with an arrow. Edge around the corner and im at the two guards in the room ahead. Now take the left ramp up and go through the only choice, to your left once outside. Head down and into the room. To fight the Gerudo Guard and free the teal cell prisoner. His name is Jiro, and he thinks you are cute.... Some things are best left unsaid. If you keep going there is a guard straight ahead of you, and if you don't shoot him in about three seconds you will be caught. By the way, from the cell, jumping on top of the building and going in through there just leads you above the cell where there are some rupees, but not really worth the trip.

If you didn't get caught, you will find that you are back in the very first room where you shot your first guard in the walkthrough. Let's just rendezvous here, even if you got caught so we are all in one place. Keep going like before, but this time, go up the right ramp. Climb the side of the builing and go down to the end before jumping off to the other building roof, and then climbing up the vines. Follow the path all the way until you can go no further and then jump down and then again until you can enter the doorway. Immediately hide behind the box, until the guard passes in front of you. Sedate her, then continue. As you round the corner you find you have reached, the green cell prisoner. Deafeat the guard and talk to Sabooro, the green cell prisoner. One more to go!

This one is really close to you. Fall down to the ledge right outside the door and go inside the new doorway. Go inside to find the yellow cell prisoner. Defeat her to get membership in the Gerudo clan! Talk to Shiro, the yellow cell prisoner. He tells you that he overheard a guard say (highly unlikely and unrealistic):

"In order to cross the
Haunted Wasteland, you'll need the
'eye of truth.' The Colossus is on
the far side of the wasteland..."

You then meet one of the Gerudo's members, she has been following and says you have fine theiving skills. You belong in the Gerudo clan. Now you can walk around freely in the Gerudo Hideout and Training Grounds (where the ice arrow is obtained). Now you can go get the ice arrow. The Training Grounds are in front of the Fortress, guarded by a Gerudo. Pay him to enter. Enter the Gerudo Training Grounds...

Gerudo Training Grounds

The task is simple. Defeat enemies, or solve riddles to get keys and open doors in the treasure chanmber to get the treasure of... The ice arrows! After you enter, turn around and shoot the eye. You just got half of your money back. There are three doors. For now, go to the door on the right. The door to the center is the treasure chamber, and the door to the left has more riddles. After going in the door to the right, you are faced with your first challenge. Defeat the enemies to continue. The beamos can be killed with a well placed bomb, while you will have to fight the dinolfos with your sword. They don't really block, so they are incredibly easy. Once they are dead, grab the key in the chest and go through the door.

There is a pit of fire in front of you now. Grab the rupees to open the door on your side. The first two are easy. Just jump there. The others are harder. Out on your hover boots to navigate around the blocks. Hover over to the other silver rupee. You can now pull out your longshot and aim it at the longsgot target for another rupee. The last is the hardest. You need to hit the switch and then hover of to the rupee and then hover off before the fire turns back on. If you are having trouble with this one, or dying, then get it first, before you try to get the others. Hookshot over to the now open door..

There is a wall of time blocking you from entering the water. Simply play the song of time to get into the water. Put on your Zora Tunic and your iron boots and sink to the bottom. Kill all of the Shell Blades before getting the silver rupees. Now you need to take off the boots and put them on to up and down the water to get all of the rupees. Once you have them all, a chest with another key in it will appear. Go back out of the room and go back over to the switch. If you stand next to the wall and play the song of time, a set of stairs will appear, in which you can climb and get the key. If you go straight, you are in the middle of the treasure chamber. Open the chest to get some bomchus.

Go back into the fire room, and into the door you ignored before. The game challenges you to find a hidden passageway. Defeat the enemies to get a chest of arrows. This is too easy. Just bring out your Megaton Hammer and hit the blocks to a switch and an eye switch. The eye switch opens a new door, and the floor switch stops ther fire so you can open the chest and get another key. Go into the new door.

There is a four eyed statue that tests your archery accuracy. You must hit all four eyes in the dead center (or it won't turn red). They must all be red at once, and if you wait too long, you will have to shoot one of them again. Once they have all been shot, another chest will drop. Open it to get another key. This is all you can do on this side. Now go back to the first chamber and this time go to the right.

It is another defeat all of the enemies scenario. There are only two and they take three hits each with the Biggoron Sword. Pretty easy. Grab the chest for your 6th key. Go through the door right by the key. This is a timed maze (not really) with silver rupees hidden in different spots. You have 1:30 to find all of them. Go (to the end) straight and to the right. Avoid the boulder and then go to the left and jump off to get this rupee. Use You longshot on the one that is now above you. Go back to the right and above, and instead of jumping back down, keep going forward. Turn left and walk all the way down to get the silver rupee. Go straight, and you are back where you were before (spot you started) There are only two more, there is the one that (from here) is blocked by fire. Go down to the end again go to the right, and instead of going left to go up, go to the right. Walk down and grab it, and hen turn around and go back up to where we jumped off before. Go straight, and instead of going left, like we did before, go to the right, and all the way down, to get the last rupee. Use your longshot to get into the now open door.

The riddle is that without the necessary item, you can't move the block. The game is right, but there is another thing- a spare key in the treasure chamber itself, hidden by illusion. Speaking of which. Use the lens of truth on the wall to the right of where the wall with the block in it is. There is a fake little nook with a longshot target. Hit it with your longshot and hit the switch to go through the door. Do not fall or else you will have to go all the way back around. Follow the path to another door, and go inside. There is a chest with a key. You can see the key I was talking about. You are above the treasure chamber at this very moment.

Go back to the main room, and go into the center room. You need 8 keys but, there is the hidden one I spoke of. Go to the locked door on the left and use the lens of truth on the ceiling to the left corner of where you came in. There is a hole there. Climb the chain wall and open the chest to find... The 8th and final key. By the way, the other key could have been obtained by the Silver Gauntlets, that let you move big things like that. Anyway, unlock all the doors on the left side.

Wait... I goofed up, you only need 7 of the 9 total keys to get to the ice arrows. (blush) Knock yourself out and unlock one on the other side. Or if you go back into the fire chamber, you can get past two of the locked doors on the right side by going up the stairs, and unlocking doors on the right. There are some items over here so it isn't all waste. You also notice that there is only one locked door in the main chamber it is because if you went right, you eventually come to a dead end, plus you can't grab the secret spare key on the left.

You are now ready for the Haunted Wasteland, as long as you have the very needed lense of truth. Go back out of the training grounds and talk to the guard at the gate (you have to climb the ladder). He will open the gate and you can enter.

Haunted Wasteland

There are two tests. You must cross the river of sand and you must follow the guide to Collossus. It isn't very hard, so don't get excited. The first test is very simple. Just get close enough to the river until you can longshot to the other side (aim at the box or the wooden flag post). Now you need to continue to longshot to each flag post (you can't walk it or the game deems you lost and you start over). Eventually, if you are doing it correctly, you will find yourself at a small building. This is where your illusionary guide awaits.

Before continuing you may want to get the gold skulltulla inside the building because you probably won't be back here any time soon. Follow your guide with the lens of truth until you will eventually be led to the two flags that are in front of your destination. You can see a pass surrounded by rock in the disatnce. Walk forward into Desert Collosus! You are now in a little desert enclosure. Straight ahead you can see a huge statue.

Before entering it, look along the wall to your right. See the twin palm trees way down there? Go to them and put a bomb squarely between them (at the wall). The wall will blow up and you can enter the Great Fairy Fountain for Nayru's Love, the last spell! Besides this there is only one more Great Fairy Fountain. It is found by Ganondorf's Fortress (where the castle used to be). That can only be opened with the Golden Gauntlets though (found in the fortress itself). Now enter the statue to learn your last song. (tears) Sheik appears to you when you come back out. She teaches you the Reqiuem of Spirit! It alllows the child to journey to the Spirit Temple.

There are two incriptions (one to each side of the stairs inside. The first is:

"If you want to proceed to the
past, you should return here
with the pure heart of a child

and the second is: "If you want to travel to the
future, you should return here
with the power of silver from the
past.

The first one means that child link is required for this temple, and that you need him if you want to go any further. The second one means that If you want the adult link to be able to play the temple, you need to have the child link get him the Silver Gauntlets obtained as a child. Now that you know what they mean. You need to warp to the temple of time, change into the child, and return here with the requim of spirit you just learned. Now you can enter the last temple. The Spirit Temple. I have seperated the role played by the child and the adult into two parts.

Spirit Temple (Child)

Enter the temple after warping there. It is just as before, but there is a person standing next to the hole you saw earlier in the top left. It seems that no matter what you say, she won't let you by, for she think's you shouldn't enter for you are merely a child, and she ha no idea what on earth a sage is. Finally, if you tell her that you have nothing to do, she will ask a favor of you. It doesn't matter what you answer. She is pleased if you say no, and laughs if you say yes. Say what you wish. This is Nabooru, the name you first heard spoken in the Gerudo Fortress. She wants you to get her the Silver Gauntlets. She says she'll make out with... I mean do something great for you.

Crawl through the hole and into the room. There are some hall blades or whatever you call them here. Kill the bats and go up the stairs. If you kill all of them, and then kill the statue, by hitting him with your sword, stunning him with your boomerang, and hitting him again, both doors will open. You now have three choices. Take the right one first. There is nothing much in here now, but two torches, some bats, and a gold skulltulla. Light the two torches using Din's fire, and then leave to go to the left door.

There is a stalfos that looks huge, and a green bubble. Fight the stalfos. If possible just hit him, until he falls off of the edge. Now face the green bubble. He will just fly around. Target him and then hit him with your boomerang. This will freeze him so that you can hit him with your slingshot. Now you can finally aim at the switch behind the vertical bridge, which will fall once you hit the switch with your boomerang of course. It can't be targeted, so stand a step back from the edge, and aim just to the left of the gate, to make it hit it, and the bridge to fall. Cross it and go through the door. There is an Anubis in this room, it can only be killed by fire. You can lure into the fire you create by hitting the switch, or you can just use Din's Fire (sorry, child link cannot use the Fire Arrow).

Go into the door that is opened by killing the Anubis. There is that annoying Wallmaster in this room. There is only one. Walk around until it tries to fall on you then nail it with a few sword hits. If you hit it three times, it wil die, and you won't have to worry about it any more. Open the chest to find a key. No go around the room and get all of the silver rupees. Once you have, the bridge will fall down. Kill the remaining fire keese, and go into the room ahead (you have already been here, of course). This time go into the little hole. Open the door with your only key ad enter. You can hear a gold skulltulla climbing on the wall (and other things). Kill the skullwalltulas, and go up. After climbing up, turn around to find the gold skulltulla you heard.

You are now in another room with skullwalltulas. Kill them and fight the Lizalfos. Use your boomerang on the switch to make another chest fall down. There are bombchus in it. (Hint Hint) Target the hole and hit it with a bombchu. There is another chest with five rupees, not really worth getting.. Now when you hit the rock, a hole in the wall will open and hit the sun switch. This won't be the first time you will have to deal with these switches. Go into the now open door.

Push the Statue off the edge to hit the switch and open the door above you. Go into it and start climbing the stairs. You are now in a room with sun beaming in, two beamos, and a few ground blades. Target the beamos and bombchu them. You may have to get a straight shot to actually hit them. Once they are dead, go around the room, and get all of the silver rupees.

The big torch will now be lit. Locate all four of the torches before lighting them with your deku stick. Open the chest that falls. It is another key. Now push and pull the blocks so that the sun switch is in the sun. The door will open. Go through it.Turn around and nail the gold skulltulla on the wall before going into the locked door ahead. Face the Spirit Temple Boss (child). Look in the boss section for more on Iron Knuckle. Once he is defeated, his door behind the throne where he sat will open. Go through and down to outside. The owl will give you some strategy on fighting the two witches in the Spirit Temple. Use their own magic against them! Open the chest to find the Silver Gauntlets. Watch more of the story unfold...

You can see that you won't have to keep your word after all.. You see the two witches for the first time using black magic on Nabooru. This is all you can do as a kid. Warp back to the temple of time, change back into adult link, and come back here with the Silver Gauntlets.

Spirit Temple (Adult)

You now have what you need to move the huge silver block that of course blocks your way. Push it until it falls into the hole. Now you can walk forward. There is a ground blade and a beamos. Throw a bomb at the beamos to kill it. It seems that there is nothing else to do. Wrong. Look at the ceiling. There is a switch there that will open the two doors. Hit it and go into the left door. There is a wolfos and a triforce symbol (by now you should now that whenever you see one, you will have to play Zelda's Lullaby). Play Zelda's Lullaby of course, and a chest with the compass in it will fall. Use your longshot to get over to it, and then jump onto the ground and climb back up and out the door. The time go into the right door.

It is another game of catch all of the rupees. The prize: the barred door straight ahead will open. Go down to the very end and then look back. You can see the silver rupee. Aim at it with your longshot, and you will be pulled to it and get it (I don't know why speeding into giant boulders wouldn't hurt..) Now the rest are pretty easy. There is one in each little sill along the side of the room. Behind the block of time (that you must play the song of time to move is another gold skulltulla). Go through the door.

Kill the shield monster and grab the chest. There is a key inside. Go back to the main room, and go through the locked door. Kill the shield eater and dodge the flying jars. Climb up the wall. Turn on your lens of truth quick! There is an invisible floormaster in here. After killing it grab the handles on the light mirror. Move it so it hits the sun switches. As you can see on the map, the first two switches (from the left to right) are chests. Don't open the second one it is a trap! The third switch opens the door, while the fourth switch lets a wallmaster loose on the ceiling (monster that hangs from the ceiling ring any bells?). You can if you want, but what is the use? Go into the open door.

As you go into the next room, let me warn you that this is not the same as the other side of the room. It is a real living statue. Go up to the top of the stairs and look down. You can see a triforce symbol in her hand. Jump in it and then play Zelda's Lullaby. A chest opens in the other hand. Longshot over to it, and then open it to find a key. If you go to the top of the child staircase (the other one) you can now longshot the gold skulltulla there. We are not done with this room yet. There is one more thing that needs doing here. First, use either fire arrows, or din's fire on the two torches. Open the chest to get the dungeon map. Now you can leave via the locked door above the staircase where you came in. There is no place to climb, so use your longshot on the target. Go into the door.

There is a beamos standing vigil on the door. Ignore him and enter. There are three Anubis inhere and one beamos. Shoot fire arrows at the three Anubis, and throw a bomb at the beamos to make the barred door open. There are two barred doors in the next room. You can't do anything about the one on the left for the moment all of the statues standing around the switch are alive, but that doesn't mean they won't stand on the switch for you.

Touch the one on the left corner and run over the switch and into the door. Just as you are about to get there, the statue that was following you should have jumped on the switch. Go into the door. This is the same setup as when you were here as a child. Pull out the lens of truth to reveal the invisible chest in the middle of the hall. They are both hearts. You must fight Iron Knuckle again. Look in the boss secton if you need any more help on this guy.

Now that he is defeated, go through the door again, and open the chest to find... The Mirror Shield. Go back into the room with the sun switch thta you couldn't do anything with before. Use your Mirror Shield to reflect the sun onto the switch and go into the open door. Open the chest to get a key. Go back out the door, and the original door you came to get in this room. Go across the walkway and into the locked door. There are two beamos in here. Use your bombchus to kill them. No there is a moving climbable wall here. You have to climb you time so that you won't fall back down, and you won't hit any of the spikes on the side.

Before going up, hit the skulltulla on the wall further up. Now, get on the first part in the upper right part, and wait for the wall above to come from the right so it left side is just reachable. Now climb straight up, and up onto the right side of the wall above that. No climb into the upper left corner and do the opposite. Wait until the right side is just reachable and then climb onto the left side of the wall above that, and straight up and onto flat ground. (You can actually do it either way for both)

Go into the door and staright ahead. There are two doors here one on your left, and one straight ahead. Play Zelda's Lullaby on the triforce symbol. To open the door. There are torch slugs crwaling all over the floor in this room. Kill them all before continuing. Now, pull out your Megaton Hammer and smash all of the doors, until you find the the eye switch (it is the door just to the left of the chest with flames around it. Now there is a block under the longshot target. Longshot to it, and jump to the switch. The fire goes out, and you can now get the boss key!

Go back out of the door. and to the door you didn't go in before. Some jars will fly at you. There is a switch behind some bars and a barred door. Hit the switch with your sword through the bars and the door will unlock. Enter it. Kill the Lizalfos and then go into the next room and kill all of the White Bubbles. Hold them in place with the hookshot, and then hit them with arrows. See that long protruding rock in the next room? Bomb it to get into the next chamber. Kill the lizalfos in here. Go to the first mirror, and push it, until the light hits the other mirror. Now, go over to the other mirror, and push it until it points into the room you were just in. Go back out the door and into that room.

There is now light reflected off of the big mirror. Reflect it with your shield to hit the switch and lower the elevator you are standing on. You are nwo face to face with the head of the statue. Reflect the light to heat the clay around its mouth and it will fall off, revealing the boss door. There is just one more thing that you should do. Create a shortcut to the beginning from here by activating another elevator. Jump off and onto the gorund (don't worry, you can longshot at the chain to get back up here). Go back up the adult stairway (with the longshot target) and go up to the top. Longshot to the chest over there. Open it and hit the switch (with the Megaton Hammer, opening the door in the center of the room.

Go into the open door. You will find another big block keep pushing it and push the next one too. Noiw walk down to the switch and hit it with the Megaton Hammer. It will go down and the elevator to the beginning will be activated. This is if you die at the boss or want to get here from the beginning. Now you can longshot back at the chain, and longshot at the boss door to get there. Open it and enter... For more on the Witch Sisters (TwinRova), look in my Boss Section.

They die comically bantering back and forth,as one of them claims to be 380 instead of 400, even though they are twins. They notice that they each have halos over their head and they vow to come back and haunt you. Take the heart and step into the chamber of sages to see Nabooru, the Spirit Sage.

She explains more of the story to you and how someone like her could be a sage. If I only knew you would grow into such a handsome man... I should have kept the promise I made back then... You are still in the chamber of sages. Speak to the Sage of Light. He explains that the six sages are awakened. You are ready for the showdown with the king of evil. There is someone waiting for you at the Temple of Time. Play the Prelude of Light and go back to the Temple of Time. I'll let the story speak for itself...

After the story unfolds, you now have the light arrows and know who the seventh sage is. Just at that moment Ganondorf wreaks his evil and captures the seventh sage. You must save the seventh sage (for those of you reading ahead I will not name names). Go to the final stand... Ganondorf's Fortress!! Once there, walk up to the fire pit. Rauru will contact you to inform you that you need to break 6 evil (of course) barriers before you can face Ganon. A bridge will be forged by the six sages cross it and enter the castle...

Inside Ganon's Castle

You enter to a purple carpet. Walk down the hall and there are two beamos guarding the door. Just walk right past them and go into the door. There are six barriers, like Rauru said. First of all, since I know you would like to get the awesome Gold Gauntlets, I will tell you have to defeat the "Shadow Barrier" first. For this is the room that they are in.

Shadow Barrier

Follow the path all the way around the room, until you come to the door with the purple circle above it. This is the Shadow Barrier Room. Enter. There is a chest, a torch, and a green bubble. Make sure you are wearing your green tunic, and your Mirror Shield, and then shoot the Torch with a fire arrow. You only have a limited time, so ignore the green bubble (without hitting it) and jump to the other side. Get away from the edge immediately so that if the shield-eater swallows you, you won't go off and he can't anything you are wearing, so it won't matter. Kill it and continue.

Turn around and hit the torch with another fire arrow. Run to the next platform and hurry dow the stairs and to the switch. Don't run too fast, or you may jump off. Once the switch is hit, a chest will appear. Longshot to it to find... The Golden Gauntlets!!! Use your lens of truth for the rest of the way (turn it on only when you are on the path). Use it to see the hidden path to the rusty switch on your left. Hit it to open the door in the distance Now take the invisible path (watch out for the jump) to the door. Inside is the Shadow Barrier and a few jars. Shoot the barrier with a light arrow. (They all say what they originally told you) You are instantly teleported out. The rest are in order.

Light Barrier

You are now wearing the Golden Gauntlets. If you wish to go back out to the fairy fountain and get the last little upgrade, do so now. If not, continue by going up to the huge black block in front of the light barrier room (yellow medallion) and pressing A to throw it out of the way. After it is clear, enter. It seems there are many chests and no one here, but... it is a trick, they are all invisible. Use the lens of truth to kill all of them and a chest will appear open it to get a key. The chests form right of the door are as follows: The first- ice trap; second- arrows; third- ice trap; fourth (other side now)- five rupees; fifth- ice trap; and sixth- a recovery heart. All of the odd chests are traps, all of the even are items.

Go through the door. Play Zelda's Lullaby to make a chest with a key in it appear to your right. Go through the locked door. You have 1:00 to find six silver rupees. There are three on the outside (in the little inlets along the side, and three on the inside, on above, and two in the little nooks. Even after you find them, the clock continues. Go through the door. There is a monster that hangs from the ceiling in this room. Just go straight forward into the invisible hallway and shoot the barrier with a light arrow after getting the jars. Barrier Dispelled.

Forest Barrier

Find the room with the Green Medallion and enter. There is a stalfos waiting for you in the middle. Kill it and a five rupee chest will appear. Now shoot the torch above the door and use Din's Fire when you are standing in the middle of the torches, and the door will open. Go into it. There are silver rupees in here. You know the drill. You need to get all of them to open the barred door. There are two in opposite corners that are the hardest. The first is to your left. Wait until the fan is at full power and then let it blow you into the rupee, and onto the platform.

The one in the other corner, to the right of the far door, requires for you to take off your hover boots, if you had them on, and jump onto and off the little island with the rupee. The rest are pretty easy. Hover beteen the platforms in the middle to get a couple of more silver rupees. There is only one left. Go over and step on the switch. The one that you couldn't reach before is now reachable. Longshot to the silver rupee. The door will open. Enter it and shoot the forest barrier. Barrier dispelled.

Fire Barrier

This one is the easiest of them all. There is only one room. The middle platform falls if you stand on it too long. Jump between its side when travels over so it won't fall. Get the rupee to your right, jump of to the spinning flame-thrower, and follow it around to get this rupee. No go back to the middle Walkway, and jump to the side straight ahead on your left. There is a block you must move here. Move it, and jump across the way to the small island. There is a torch slug here. Kill it and jump to the black block and grab the last silver rupee. Now go back to the center walkway with your longshot ready, and quickly aim at the longshot target and go through the door. That was it! Shoot at the barrier with a light arrow. Barrier Dispelled.

Water Barrier

Go into the room with the Blue Medallion over it. There is ice stalactites, and a few Freezards. Fill one of your empty jars with blue fire, and use it on the red ice, covering the entrance ahead. Kill the Freezards to unlock the door. Also- don'topen the left chest, it is an ice trap, while the right chest is a recovery heart. Before you leave, make sure you have at least one jar of blue fire. In this new room, you have two minutes to solve the puzzle. See the red ice? You need blue fire to melt it. Under it, is a switch. There are two blocks. The one closest to the block I will call block 1, the other one is block 2.

Get behind block two and push it against the rock, now get on the right of it and push it into the hole. Now, get behind block 1, and push it over the now closed hole, and at the other rock (the one not used to push block 2 into the hole). Now, push from the left (when facing the red ice) and push it into the other rock. Now get in front of it and push it at the red ice. You should now have a block to climb up to it. Climb it, and melt the ice. Hit the switch with the Megaton Hammer, and the door will unlock. Go into it for the Barrier. Again, shoot it with a light arrow. Barrier dispelled!

Spirit Barrier

This is the last barrier. Enter the last room remianing with the Orange Medallion. There are ground blades all over the floor some statues, and silver rupees. Collect them all, like usual. Immediately target the beamos and throw a bomb at it. Now collect the rest of the silver rupees. They are all easy, besides the one in the middle where you longshot to get it, you just have to walk up them and grab them, while avoiding the ground blades. Once you have all five of them, go into the door. There are a few torch slugs in here. Kill them, and then hit the switch through the gate to give you some bombchus. They totally blew this riddle by giving you this. Aim at the other switch with a bombchu if you aimed correctly, it will hit, and the door will unlock. Now go into the next room. Don't try to use a bombchu on the ceiling, what you have to do is burn off the web (yes it is web on the ceiling) once you have light coming down, use your Mirror Shield to hit the switches. Here is what they do. First- unlocks the door. second, third, and fourth all let Wallmaster loose on the ceiling. Enter the door for the last Barrier. Shoot it with the light arrow. Barrier dispelled! All six dispelled!

Now head into his actual lair. You will have to go up many stairs to get to his actual room where he is holding Zelda prisoner. You can hear him playing the organ louder and louder as you go up.
