I sat in my chair as the USS White Tiger put us in their tractor beam. It still confused me that a brand new ship would have these problems. I am grateful though that Cmdr Reilly made it in time and heard our distress call. Meanwhile on our way to DS9 I left the bridge and went to sick bay to visit my old friend who is my engineer officer Mr.Evans. "How are you feeling?"
"I think I am getting better, but that blow that hit me was a big one!" "Hey take it easy I am going to see how the engine room is doing." (the engine room)"Mr. Omega nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too Commander Wise."
"How are the warp engines?"
"There getting there sir."
"That was a mighty blow that came and hit Mr. Evans"
"Yeah luckily he is still alive!"
As I started to leave the engine room I decided it would be a good idea to rest a little bit in my cabin for a while. I would tell my 2nd Commander to take over the ship for a while.
"Mr.Rico I want you to look after the ship while I rest a little bit in my cabin."
"Yes Sir!"
I started to think about my father who was a Starfleet Officer, but died just before the USS Constantino was commisioned.I really was excited about becoming a Commander of my own ship.My father was really proud of me and he couldn't wait till he saw the ship.
Today was his birthday. He would of been 67. As it was about time for dinner I went to the bridge and put Cmdr Reilly on screen.
"Hello again Cmdr I wanted to know if you would like to join my crew and I for dinner?"
"Sure that sounds pretty good!"
"Ok we will have you transported to the ship."
"See you then."
I was glad that I invited Cmdr.Reilly for dinner.I could get to know him better and we could talk over the matters of the conflict that is going on at DS9.

Admiral K'Lay Kronsei-Chang cursed out loud, her breath coming out in a hiss of fury as the IKV Chang's Revenge II dropped out of warp in full view of Deep Space 9.
"Looks like a khest'n' Rom reunion...." Commander Hurgh K'Mer spat his displeasure next to her ear at the sight of at least half a dozen Romulan ships, docked alongside those of Starfleet. "....why are THEY here?! Isn't it bad enough to have to travel to DS9 with them following after us like a pack of Terran hyenas, without having to fight for dock space with them too?"
"It appears that these Rom...hyenas....have decided to choose sides, and have chosen the winning one.....which should not be surprising to anyone, I suppose, since they do not have the courage to fight unless the odds are in their favor."
"And it sweetens the pot that we are also here, and do not wish them to be." Hurgh growled.
"Their motives were never simple." K'Lay agreed. "In any case, I will ignore the insult of their uninvited escort, as long as they....unlike some of our other.... allies....keep their weapons pointed AWAY from us and at the enemy. Which brings me to my first task." She snapped an order in battle language to the helmsman. "Find me a place to dock. I need to meet with the USC Fleet-Admiral as soon as possible."
Docking space was assigned from what had to have been a very new recruit, the Klingon ship given berth next to the RSE Star Shadow, a Rom warbird whose signature and configuration the helmsman had seen before, albeit only in glimpses as it had cloaked and decloaked at random intervals and places during their entire ponderous journey from the scene of the attack by Admiral Zesewitz's cohorts all the way to Deep Space 9. It had left them at the last, evidently racing ahead to claim the better of the available dock spaces.
"Do not further damage my ship, Ensign." K'Lay reminded the young helmsman who came in under impulse periously close to touching the enemy...she still thought of them as the enemy.....ship at station keeping next to hers before using thrusters to stop it's mass from plowing them into the side of the warbird.
"Yaj'qu, 'aj Chang." His sharp side teeth glinted as he smiled. "Just making sure they know we're here."
K'Lay refrained from reprimanding him for the hot shot space dock maneuver. They had not known until long range communications had been restored that the Roms were...allies now, and not enemies, and the well armed escorts, who could have told her their status, but had not, had made her entire crew twitchy. It was a Rom sort of zha, a game to goad their old enemies into doing something rash. So far, no one had, but her mood was dark as the void, and her patience had been stretched to the screaming point. It would NOT be a good day for anyone to get in her way.....
K'Lay strode through the airlock almost before it had finished it's cycle, heading for the nearest Station Security guard, Hurgh K'Mer hot on her heels. "I need to see USC Fleet-Admiral Bailey. Where is he?" She demanded, without preamble.
"He's in the ward room, uh....Admiral...." The Security Ensign identified her Klingon insignia and rank pins. "....but he's in a meeting and you can't...." He called after commander K'mer whose rank and insignia he had not had time to see.
K'lay strode off in the direction of the ward room, having been there before, not even waiting for the Ensign to finish or Hurgh to catch up. Security Ensign Debauer spoke quickly into his interstation communicator and followed her, on the run.
K'lay rounded the last corner, almost bumping into one of the hated Roms in her haste, sidestepping him so fast that Hurgh almost bowled him over in his haste to follow in her footsteps.
"My...." The Romulan Sub Commander raised one already arched eye brow, a sly, knowing smile turning the corners of his mouth up. "You're in a hurry for someone who hasn't bothered to go faster than warp 2 for the past week."
K'Lay's forward momentum paused at that, her breath coming out in an enraged hiss. "If I had known we were fighting on the same side, and that you had long range communications, perhaps I could have called for a fast courier ship and gotten here MUCH sooner."
"Or we could have taken you aboard our ship, which can do...oh....least several orders of warp more than yours....and gotten you here even faster."
K'Lay held a gloved hand out to keep Hurgh back, knowing, without having to turn her eyes away from the Romulan Sub Commander, that Hurgh was probably only inches from murder and...if they were allies.... trouble with High Command that they could ill afford at this time. "One thing is for certain. I have no MORE time to waste on you, with you or because of you. I am here to see Fleet-Admiral Bailey...and you....Sub Commander Lo'osr....." She smirked at the name which, in Federation Standard, would sound like the word for loser. "....you are in my way." She made a move to get past him, blocked in her ambition as he stepped into her path, his eyes glinting with amusement and challenge.
"On the contrary. You have pleanty of time to waste on whatever Klingons do to waste time.....Admiral." He chided her condescendingly. "Which is probably everything. The ward room conclave is closed to anyone but Starfleet. You're just going to have to wait out here with the rest of us until they find time for you."
"Over my dead body...." K'Lay seethed, all the pent up anger exploding at once in a white hot ambition that refused to be put off another second.
"Or yours...." Hurgh breathed, shoving the Rom back against the door his Admiral wished to go through.
K'Lay had time to see the Romulan Sub Commander reach for something...she did not know what.....before she threw her levek at his head, missing it and slicing into one of his ears instead, and heard the distinctive crack as Hurgh grabbed, twisted and expertly shattered the bones in his arm. The Rom's startled outcry of pain and retribution to come echoed through the ward room as she moved through Security who had moved quickly to pull the two combatans apart, and burst in on Fleet-Admiral Bailey's briefing.
"I have news of rather great importance for you Fleet-Admiral." K'lay shouted as Station Security lunged at the disheveled Klingon Admiral from all sides, taking her down to the floor in a matter of seconds. "Not only do you still have two of Admiral Zesewitz's cohorts out there, firing on allied ships, but your encryption codes have fallen into the hands of the enemy!"
She spat blood onto the white floor, one of the guards having kneed her in the mouth on the way down. "Either that.....or one of your most trusted ships is luring Klingon vessels out to be ambushed by the Jem'Hadar.... intentionally! Take your pick! Shall I finish this debriefing in the hallway outside, Fleet- Admiral? Or do you want to include me in on this briefing?"
****************************************************************************
As the Fleet Admiral looked at the blood dripping from Adm. K'Lay with security all over her, he shock his head, well, here we go again, the FAdm stepped forward and said let her up now what is going on, of course Adm K'Lay you can join our meeting, I was just about to tell my staff some very interesting reports we have gotten, the security officer letting her up but sir, yes Ens replied the FAdm, she has assulted a Romulan outside the door and they are screaming about it, Well Adm K'Lay the FAdm said, it seems you have done it again and I have no chose but to bring them into this meeting to keep the paece as we will need there forces as well for this. The FAdm looked at the security officer, have Senator Broc Jomar come in,yes sir he replied, as the Romulan senator entered he could see K'Lays eyes,
Now before this meeting finishes I want you both to here me out, we are allies and we need each other to WIN the WAR, together we can keep the Dominion in there own space and we can even push them all the way to Cardassia Prime and win the WAR, which I plan on doing.......
****************************************************************************
K'Lay Chang glared at Romulan Senator Broc Jomar from across the table, her eyes as hot on him as plasma, and every bit as lethal, her expression promised, if he gave her the smallest excuse. "Very well....for the present." She hissed, making the Starfleet Security personnel relax their guard down to mere alert status. "I will stay in the same room with your Rom .....ally; but He is not, as far as I am concerned, above suspicion. I do not know who sent the distress signal to us, that resulted in me pulling a squadron of ships away from their intended destination at the front, and redirecting them to rescue Starfleet ships that were never in distress, or from what I can tell, even there. But I do know the message was sent using Starfleet encrryption codes....that your Romulan allies now have." She flashed a speculative look at Broc Jomar's enigmatic face. "And this can be verified by one of your own Starfleet Engineers who happened to be aboard my ship when the distress call came through."
"Are you proposeing.....oh anything specific......Admiral Chang?" The Romulan Senator laced his fingers together and leaned toward her at the table. She leaned back, their eyes locking in a battle of wills. "Only that it would not be the first time your kind used a war with one enemy to strike from behind at another. I find it....highly suspect that my ships were attacked and my starfleet communications corrupted, and in both cases, Romulan ships were seen nearby...or shadowed us throughout. Either we ARE fighting on the same side, Senator, or we are not. And if I determine we are not, no amount of Federation pressure is going to compell me to have you at my back!"
"So you are proposing to let the Dominion win to satisfy your...paranoia?" He countered smoothly, enjoying the exchange. Klingon were so easily aroused to rage.
"If I am going to be shot in the back, Senator, what does it matter to me who fires the weapon?" She turned to Fleet-Admiral Bailey. "Tell us what-ever intell you have, Fleet-Admiral, and assign us to help you however best you see fit. But do not put That One...." She flug her gauntlet clad arm at the Rom. "....anywhere near Klingon officers, or you may find your officer and ship attrition rate for this war much higher than anticipated."
"Is that a threat, Admiral?" The Romulan Senator queried through clenched teech. "HIja." She jerked her head up in assent. "Without question."
****************************************************************************
As the FAdm turned and looked at all officers at the table he reminded each of the Empires there that we are ALLY's to each other and we must work together in order to bring the Dominion Down. So lets work together on this issue.
****************************************************************************
As Rear Admiral Threats IV enters the Quicksilver-A,he looks at the ship and says,"It is great to be back at home." He takes a tour of the vessel as if he is not familiar with it,he says to Lt.Cmdr Jarok, "What have the cadets been doing in my absence?" Jarok responded,"The cadets are doing well they are learning alot about Starfleet etc. sir." Threats responds back,"Thats great!" Thr Rear Admiral enter the bridge, turbolift doors open.Asks Cadet Harmon," what is the status of the USC fleet?",Threats says very sharply.Harmon says,"All USC vessels are at DS9 for some sort of emergency and you know why we could not go our CO was not here and we would probably get court-martialed for hijacking a Federation vessel."Threats IV sits down in the command chair slowly and says,"Send transmission to the FAdm Bailey Jr.,Adm Paradis that we will getting underway from USCA immediately."End Transmission.RAdm Threats IV says plot a course for DS9,Warp 9!" Cadet Harmon says eagerly,"Course set Admiral" "Engage!!!",shouts Threats IV and the USS Quicksilver is underway.Meanwhile, back on internal affairs of the ship RAdm Threats IV calls an Senior Officers meeting onboard to meet in 6 minutes. The Rear Admiral exits fairly quickly to Ready Room to await his Senior Officers. All of the Senior Officers enter the Ready Room all and Threats IV greets them all with a smiles and says,"I am back Officers I hope all teh cadets have had the necessary training to go into battle because in these hard times the Federation is hurting for vessels we just added one strong one to the group and I think the FAdm and Adm Paradis is glad we are underway now." And the meeting continues about issues of the vessels and fleet.

Kbee surveyed the meeting going on around her and sighed. As much as she liked being a star fleet officer she hated the politics of it, and if the Klingon Admiral and Romulan senator had their way then she could see this meeting going on an awful lot longer.
She glanced out of the window, and watched the ships in orbit glide on their silent paths around the station.
She just wanted to get back to her ship and get back into action, finish the war, so that she could go back to searching the galaxy.
Adm A, Fadm cliff, and the klingon, and Romulan were arguing about something, and the rest of the officers were looking round.
Kbee stood up and walked to the replicator, "Chocolate, hot, with cream." She had the feeling that she'd be here a while.
