After five years of scrimping and saving, we finally found our dream sailboat, a 1986 19' West Wight Potter. She is HMS hull number 380 and was christened "Kidogo" by her former owner, a retired professor of African History. "Kidogo" means "Little One" in Swahili. We renamed the boat "Beach Girl" in June, 2000.
We hope you will enjoy our Ship's Log, where we chronicle our attempts at learning to sail Beach Girl/Kidogo. We will also post some pictures. We hope you will come back often and see how we are progressing with our sailing in the beautiful Charleston, South Carolina area.
