General Rules
If someone asks you to stop doing something, stop. Refusing to do so slows down gameplay as well as annoying players and ops alike.
Ask for ops at your own risk. Shadow loves new chewtoys.
If you're planning on having a long OOC discussion during roleplay or someone asks you to cut back on the chatter
during roleplay, please take it to query instead of slowing things down for people who are trying to roleplay.
We also understand that due to certain circumstances, well, your day just doesn't go right. However, misery enjoys company but the company doesn't enjoy misery. Changing your nick to suit your black mood brings down other players as well. Please be courteous.
Do not harass OP regarding approval of your mission, Zoid or character. They will not like you. They will cause you much pain.
If you have been banned or akicked, only the op that did so can remove it. If you feel it was unfair, negotiate. Don't try playing one OP against another, we figure these things out quick.
NO POWER GAMING. Examples: Overuse of given power (even if it is in the anime), refusal to acknowledge other people's actions, giving human characters inhuman powers (Ancient Zoidians excluded, but that's a whole different story), etc. You will (usually) get 3 warnings, and depending on the circumstances either your character will be removed or you will be akicked from the channel.
This is a Zoids: Chaotic Century Role Playing Game. Please try and adhere to the laws of physics and nature mentioned in the anime. This is not a Gundam RPG, or a Zoids New Century Zero RPG.
Your character is your character! This is free form role playing; you are not totally bound to the original storyline for Zoids: Chaotic Century. However, don't overstep the limits of your character's personality. Players who do so may have their characters taken away and given to someone more responsible.
Strength development is also allowed, to an extent. A character may learn martial arts, how to fire weapons, etc. However, these must be learned IN CHARACTER and IN CHANNEL. If there is a sudden change in your character's abilities you may have your character taken away. Don't argue. Arguing makes us angry. Anger makes us join the Dark Side. The Dark Side makes us add you to the akick list. As for Zoids, you have to have all upgrades/changes approved by OPs beforehand.
This channel is non-yaoi (NOT anti-yaoi). We've got nothing against people who want to roleplay maleXmale relationships, we just don't roleplay them in our channel. Please don't come screaming at us about how Raven and Van were made for each other, or how there was something between Colonel Hermann and Major Schubaltz... there is no evidence of any of this in the TV series, which means that it's all a matter of what you believe in characters, and our personal belief is that Zoids was not a shounen-ai series, so our RPG won't be one either.
Yes, this is an anime RPG. Yes, this is a Zoids RPG. No, we do not allow characters from other series, even Zoids Zero. Sure, you can have your character influenced by other anime, but we will have no Sailor Senshi, Super Saiyans, Samurai Troopers, and for the love of God... no Raven clones. Your 'original' character can't be a carbon copy of an existing character (no albino Ravens, no Prozens with black hair, no green Zeeks)... if you make an original character, it has to be -original-. There will be no Pikachu Zoids.
FAQ
Do we allow new Zoids?
Yes and no... This is a very iffy subject. Things like a new color of Command Wolf, or a Rev Raptor with a different kind of gun is no big deal, but when you start creating entirely new Zoids, it makes things difficult on the OPs who have to approve your character. IF you're absolutely certain you can create a good Zoid, then be sure to thuroughly write down the capabilities of the Zoid in your form. Also, we will not give new kinds of Zoids to brand new players, no matter how sound your designs are... We have to watch you roleplay for at least a little while before we can entrust you with something like that.
Do we allow new Organoids?
Yes and no... Only to players who have been in our RPG a while and have prooven themselves capable of handling it.
Do we allow new Ancient Zoidians?
Yes and no... Only to players who have been in our RPG a while and have prooven themselves capable of handling it. Also, your character has to be very well written. Not just good enough to pass as a normal character, but a very well thought-out character. Their abilities also have to be described very thuroughly in the form.
Why are all of the characters from the TV series listed as NPCs?
We list all characters who haven't been taken as NPCed by default. Most characters (excluding President Camford and Emperor Rudolph) can be requested by new players, but anyone requesting
a TV-series character will have to go through a test-roleplay with the channel's OPs to make sure they can roleplay in-character. Nobody needs a bloodthirsty Fiona running around.
Can I play (whoever) who only appeared in the Zoids manga?
This RPG is based on the ANIME of Zoids: Chaotic Century. For continuity's sake, we don't allow manga characters or the manga versions of characters who appeared in the anime.
Can I play the manga version of (whoever)?
See above.
