Main characters
We join our Marvel heroes as they migrate towards New York City in order to find a portal to jump through. Present here is the former doctor, Bruce Banner. He thinks that entering the tournament, perhaps in some alternate dimension there is a cure for his ailment. Also here is Steve Rogers and Logan, a.k.a. Captain America and Wolverine.
Steve Rogers: "So Logan what brings you here? Sabretooth must've entered the tournament after all eh?"
Logan: "He did enter the tournament, but that's not why I'm here. A secret operative from my old organization is carrying out a 'martyr mission' To stop the tournament, and is supposed to kill hundreds of people. The professor sent me on a mission to destroy this operative before he enters the tournament."
Steve: "Who is this operative? Does he work for those damned terrorists?"
Logan: "Yep. Professor X told me right before he gave me the mission, and said that someone else from S.H.I.E.L.D. is also supposed to do it so I shouldn't be mistaken for the operative by that agent. It's a stealth mission, but Wolverine isn't exactly quiet."
Bruce: Hey guys. Did I miss anythin?"
Steve: Yeah Logan is sup..Ow! You'll pay for that at the tourney Logan."
Logan: I'll tell you when we get through the portal Bruce. It's a mission I'm supposed to go on to..
Logan's sentence is interuppted by an explosion in the background, and suddenly a large bat-like creature appears.
This creature calls himself True Ogre in it's barely audible voice, and blows fire everywhere, setting the flammable enviroment on fire. The crowd screams in panic and begins to run in every direction. Logan extends his claws and slashes the creature across the back. Steve Rogers rund into an empty lobby to change into his costume. He becomes....Captain America! The emblem of justice for all country loving patriotic Americans and a true symbol of hope. True Ogre fires a blast at Logan, barely scraping his leather jacket. Logan runs up to the creature and slashes his face.
Captain America: "Step back a bit Logan, I'm gonna hit em with my shield!"
Captain America throws his shield and hits him square in the chest, forcing the air from is lungs and scarring his ribs. The monster is filled with range and knocks Captain America into Bruce with his tail. This causes Bruce to get....angry...
Bruce Banner: "Aaah! Don't make me angry! Please stop that!"
Bruce begins to transform into a green-skinned creature. A creature known to the world as the Green Menace, a.k.a., The Incredible Hulk! The Hulk jumps into the air and comes crashing down onto True Ogre.
Hulk: HULK SMASH!!
The Incredible Hulk pummels True Ogre with mighty blows from his arms. He proceeds to smash his face into the ground and literally beat the snot out of him. True Ogre tries to kick Hulk off of his chest, and when that fails he simply breathes fire into his face. The Hulk, disoriented, gets up and swings blindly cutting through the air with lethal force. One of these swings True Ogre and knocks him out. The Hulk's anger subsides and he returns to his normal form. Captain America gets up and hauls True Ogre back into the portal.
Captain America: "If you want True pain, then make sure you come back here after the tournament ends! If you thought this was bad, meet me in the tourney."
The portal closes and True Ogre is no more. Logan steps towards the two heroes and explains to them that that is the type of fighting we will experience in the tournament, and if they aren't ready they will die...
