A Summoner is nessacary for survival in this game. Summoners obiously summon for protection. There are the regular summons like Ifrit, Shiva, Odin, and Bahamut. But there are the others, just like in other games. In Tactics, summons dont only hurt the enemy, but help you also. Some heal, some take damage for you, and some add status effects. Plus the Summoner gets an added amount of MA and MP, making it one of the most effective magic users in the game. Summons also have a very large attack radius, usually four. The only thing is the summons take a long time to cast. So having short charge helps. Another thing is the Summoner has a lack of HP and ATT, making them need protection.

The Summoner is another one of the best units to have on the field for those hard battles. Plus, attack summons can't your characters, and cure summons can't hit enemies! Comination Classes
