Sharon Quotes

Oh God, I am so frigging eloquent!

Can you give me a snog later Anto?

I think it is a big challenge not to murder each other.

We believe in our music and we believe it should be heard.

If you can't stand on your own and decide what you want to do, then you're a bit sad.

It all comes down to families and babies, this is something we are doing in the meantime.

Sometimes you wake up and instead of 'good morning', all you want to say is 'I'm so sick of the sight of you'.

We have to keep a leash on Andrea, label all her things. If she doesn't lose something on tour, she'll get lost herself.

Once I said good morning to her (Andrea) and she replied, 'get out of my face'

This guy was chattin' me up and being a real arse," she complains. "He goes, 'Your singing is magnificent', and I said, I'm the violinist.

Int: Have any of you tried to blag a half-price kid's ticket?
Sharon: Yes, Andrea always pulled that trick when we first started working as a band. She looks really young anyway
and she used to put a wee hat on and suck a lollipop at the ticket window. The guy knew quite well how old she really was COs we used to serve him pints in the pub. That's charm for you!

Int: That sounds like you see each other 24 hours a day ...
Sharon : Thank god, no ! Apart from the band we have our own lives. tsss, 24 hours with those three would really make me screaming nuts !

'Oh right, well, we've seen the rain now, that will be more than enough thanks.'

They've all left me!! (on stage when the others walked off for her solo)

(on being suspended in school): 'It was because I mitched (bunked off). I only did it twice and I got caught twice. That's me all my life. I always got caught and I rarely did anything wrong,'

What turns me on is when I see a man being a man and not being... all liberal and understanding and bohemian
because of something he's read in a magazine. I don't mean chauvinism or macho. I mean standing up like a man and appreciating me as a woman.'

I only say nasty things in private

You're just sick of looking at the same faces, all the time. Basically it's like 'oh God it's you again.'

Interviewer: Did the Corr siblings share records?
Sharon: We stole records. Yeah, Jim would bring them in and we would scrape them. And I would bring stuff in and Caroline would the one scraping them, and it went on and on!

Sharon: We got a reputation in Dundalk because there was all three of us behind the bar,the students would be there ogling.

I'm more sceptical than my sisters. A lot of the time a guy comes up and he hasn't made his mind up which one he fancies.

Jim can probably hang on until he is about 90 but it's different for us. Our biological clocks are ticking along and they
have to run their course,' she said. 'Our career is great be we're women and for every woman the be-all and end-all is relationships and children.

I was just thinking yesterday how happy I would be if we weren't always perceived as being beautiful. I mean don't get
me wrong. I thank God he's been so kind to us. But I would love so much not to have all this stuff that goes along with
being attractive. Sometime I just want to yell, 'Hey, I'm here for the music leave my hair alone!' I get so sick of all the make-up sometimes.

I started playing the violin when I was six and a half. And what actually happened was there was a violin teacher that
was new in our town, and he was starting pupils off at the age of three, so they tried Caroline out first, 'cause she was
three. But she was much more interested in the fact that he had big ears and red hair and freckles. So she wasn't...
she couldn't keep her concentration so I got sent to the lessons and I just kept it on for years, and I'm still playing it in
the band.

(on TOC) 'It was eventually getting heard. If people saw you then you'd failed, I'd accept it. But if they can't hear you - I won't accept failure then.'

About Jim: "He's terrible, and he's always nicking my lingerie as well.''
