Act 2: The paths that are unfolded
The scene is of the clouds. It seems very gray and hostile. There will be voice overs. Evarile and Soten will be first.
E: “Kidnapped”
S: “Soon it will be over.”
E: “Lost”
S: “True Intentions.”
The scene will shift to a cave, or the sky shall be dark. There will be the sound of fluttering wings. This is Aistea’s voice over.
A: “Pain. Anger. Sorrow. Regret. Guilt”
The scene will shift to the forest, and it shall seem quite. This is Zane and Nobori’s voice over.
Z: “Confusion.”
N: “Trust”
Z: “There is no time.”
N: “It’s not over yet.”
The camera pans down to Zane, sitting by himself. He hears a voice, and he gets up. He pulls his gun out and prepares to enter battle once more.
Scene 1: Man of Furen
Z: “Who’s there?”
Voice: “You can’t give up. You must always try.”
Z: “Who are you to be giving me advice?” (The person of the Voice steps out of the shadows. He is a young man, with armor strapped upon him. He carries a sword behind his back. He comes out, with his hands in the air, showing he is no threat to Zane.
Z: “Who are you? Damn, why are there so many different people popping up? Damn writer, don’t screw around with me!”
Suddenly a rock from the sky bonks Zane on the head.
Z: “Okay, okay, sorry. Who are you?” Zane says to the young man.
Young man: “I am Nobori Kasumi, swordsman from the East.”
Z: “East? Oh, you mean the land of Furen.”
N: “Eh? It’s been discovered already? How the hell? Man, How did they…?”
Z: “A band of explorers found your land by ship.”
N: “It’s impenetrable!”
Z: “Um, not really. That range of mountains Furen has, there’s a path right at the very bottom.”
N: “Uh oh. On the very bottom you say?’
Z: “Yeah, it’s an amazing path. It was blocked with like a door with illusions on it. It can be closed and opened.”
N: “Illusions you say? Like mountains?”
Z: “Yeah.”
N: “Damn, I knew I forgot to close the door. Hmmm, oh well, it was time for Furen to meet the rest of the world anyway.” (Zane’s eyes are staring at Nobori. Zane’s face reflects Zane’s thought of (<What the fuck? How stupid of him. I wonder what he wants.>) ß will be voiced over as the camera looks at Zane’s Wahh? face.)
Z: “Um, ok. Idiot. Now that I know who you are, what do you want from me?”
N: “Idiot? Um, I want you to keep trying.”
Z: “Wahh?”
N: “I know that you were defeated by Soten, and that the girl was taken away. I know you want to save her, but first, you have to keep trying. You can’t give up.”
Z: “How do you know all this? Are you my guardian spirit? Because if you are, you really suck (Zane points his free hand at Nobori, and the other hand still keeps his gun.) You’re not supposed to let me lose to Soten!” (Nobori’s face is filled with Oh please!”
N: “I’m not your guardian spirit. I’m a swordsman remember?”
Z: “But how do you know all of this? My fight with Soten, Evarile…”
N: “Evarile? That is the girl’s name?”
Z: “Yeah. I thought you knew. What the hell man? What do you know and what do you want from me?!!! I have no freakin time to be wasting it talking to some buffoon who let invaders from a different country invade!!!”
N: “Grrrrrrrrr. I am a swordsman, whose mission is defeat Soten. I only know of you and the girl from the battle which I wandered in.”
Z: “You wandered into my battle and didn’t help? What kind of freakin swordsman are you!” (Zane makes two fists and shakes it at him He places the gun back into his holster)
N: “I came at the end of the battle.”
Z: “Oh, you were the guy going ‘Prepare to die, you freakin mother piece of…”
N: “I didn’t say all that!”
Z: “Yeah, but I’m including it in.”
N: “Oh. Wait, there was someone else there with you. Where is he?”
Z: “Oh, you must mean Aistea Aetisa.”
N: “Aistea Aetisa? Wait, isn’t that?”
Z: “Yeah, I know. His name’s weird.” (Scene cuts to Aistea walking. He suddenly sneezes.
A: “Damn, who the hell is talking shit about me?”(He looks mad, and starts to look around.) (The scene returns to Zane and Nobori.)
N: “Where is he now?”
Z: “He left, the damn jerk!”
N: “Really? Damn, I need all the help that I can get.”
Z: “What? Help?”
N: “You are going to help me aren’t you? I mean, since I know where Soten is going, and you want to save Evarile.”
Z: “You never told me you knew where Soten was going you freak! Where is he??”
N: “He’s heading for Mikyo.”
Z: “Mikyo? Where the hell is that?”
N: “Its in Expell. It’ll take us 3 days to get to where he is.”
Z: “What!!! What if she’s dead by then?”
N: “Don’t worry, Soten isn’t fast.”
Z: “But I remember that he just disappeared.”
N: “Well, he does have the ability to disappear, but it’s within a 5 mile radius. We should be able to catch him since we know where’s heading, if we start now.”
Z: “Wait. Can’t Soten keep warping till he reaches Mikyo?”
N: “No, his power is far too weak from the battle. You guys must have worn him down to force him to use KAZE upon you. Your friend Aistea really must have taken a beating, from the way I saw him on the ground.”
Z: “Really? Wait, how do you know all this? What’s KAZE? How bad was Aistea hurt? Wait, that’s when you came in?!! You piece of crap, why didn’t you help us then!!?! You must tell me everything!”
N: “I’ll shall, as long as you join me.”
Z: “Fine. You know so much about Soten. From my incredible logic, (Zane puts his hand to his chin and starts to stroke it, as if he had a beard.) you must have fought him and lost.”
N: “I didn’t exactly lose! I just fainted a couple of times.”
Z: “There’s a story that comes with you isn’t there? But there is no time. We have to hurry and defeat SOTEN!!!!”
N: “You say it like it’s an easy
task. I wish your friend was here, 3 vs 1 would have provided better odds.”
Z: “Yeah, well 2vs 1 is good enough! Besides, I didn’t really get to use my gun
as well as I should have.”
N: “You mean that thing in your hand?”
Z: “Yea, this is a twenty-seven hand pistol. There’s only two in the world, and Aistea’s got the other one. This is one of the strongest weapons ever created.”
N: “Really? Oh man, then we’re really screwed!”
Z: “What?”
N: “If one of the strongest weapons ever created couldn’t fend off Soten’s staff of Dark Energy, then we don’t stand a chance.”
Z: “Hey! I was just unprepared. I am certain that my gun can fend off Soten’s staff, of Dark Energy? I remember he kept saying that to me…”
N: “And you’re not dead? This is great then, you may prove stronger than you look.”
Z: “What? Man, there are so many freakin topics to discuss. Stupid writer! Why don’t you make the swordsman tell me everything!!! AH!” (Zane covers his head, to avoid any rocks to the head. To his surprise, nothing happens.)
N: “Let us go now, I’ll explain everything in more detail when we rest.” (Zane nods and Zane and Nobori run, with Nobori in the lead. You see them run through the forest and they looks so cool, like Kenshin. Then a rock falls from the sky and hits Zane. Zane falls. Camera zooms back to Nobori with his face puzzled. Nobori slaps himself on his head and picks up Zane. Camera fades out.
Scene 2: Into the darkness…
Aistea is walking, with his head down. Trees go by slowly, he continues to walk and clouds start to fade with the sky as it turns into a intense violet, then into a deep blue, and then into a black sky filled with stars. It seems like the entire sky is filled with these jewels, and each of them glow and twinkle brightly. A half moon rises, and leaves visible light onto Aistea’s face. Aistea suddenly yells
A: “FUCK!!!” He pulls out his gun and starts to fire everywhere. 6 shots later, he falls to the ground.
A: “Man, what is up with me? No, wait, I’m fine. What is up with him? I mean, going off to die for someone he doesn’t know? Is that the way it’s suppose to be? I know it must be the right thing to do, and frankly, it is romantic.” Aistea looks up at the stars. “But to risk your damn life, isn’t there some other way? Self sacrifices are always romantic, always heroic, but it doesn’t leave a damn good ending for the hero. The hero just lays dead while the rescued person cries, then marries some other punk. HA! I’m not letting Zane have this kind of ending, I’m going to freakin make sure he saves her, and kick’s Soten’s ass!!!! I wonder where the hell he is?” Aistea looks around and says “Shit!!! I don’t know where I am. Wait, duh.” Aistea pulls out a map. He looks at it and then gasps.
A: Gasp! “Hey, this is the cave on the map! And that means, this is the cave of H-turt! Alright!!!! But, should I just go back now and help Zane? Or should I enter this cave, and search for the treasure? Decisions, decisions. Treasure, treasure. (Aistea looks extremely happy, and he is starting to dance.) “Hmm, Zane is a punk anyway. Hmm, what?” Aistea already walked into the cave. “Decision made!” Aistea then goes into the cave. The cave’s opening is the size of a regular door, but it’s width is three times. The camera shows Aistea’s back going into the cave, and the cave looks like a cave, an ordinary cave. When Aistea is in, the camera moves back and then looks at the big cave. In the corner, there is a little cave. The came turns to the little cave and then to the big one. The big one then glows and the scene is filled with light.
Scene 3: …and out to Guilt
Aistea is in the cave. He is gleeful that he is in the cave. He walks straight in. Battle music starts. He looks around, with a strange look on his face. He’s puzzled, and then he takes out his gun.
A: “Alright, I understand. Let’s go, time’s wasitn.”
A monster, that looks like pikachu pops up.
A: “You got to be kidding. Wait, what happens if it grows.”
Aistea looks at it. It goes Pika. Aistea shoots it. It groans pika and dies.
A: “What the hell? Wait, maybe that was a beginning monster.”
He looks around and nothing pops up.
A: “This is really whack. O well, I guess its ok.” He walks deeper into the cave. He sees the sword on a pedestal. “This must be the treasure.” He picks up the sword. He starts to become dizzy, and starts to waver around. His eyes become glassy. His eyes close. The conversation between him and Zane is heard. He listens, and he winces. He opens his eyes. All sound is silent. He looks up and says, “Damn, I forgot to tell him that he’s really a punk. ARgggh!!” He picks up the sword and runs out of the cave. “What the hell happened to me in there?” He keeps running. He runs out of the cave and looks around. He is in a different landscape, and he sees something in the distance. “I bet that must be Zane. Only he walks like that.” He runs down.
Aistea runs down. Camera fades back, and flashes back.
