Xenia Xenakis, Toreador Primogen

Appearance: Xenia appears in her mid-teens, probably no older than 16.  Her skin is so pale, it is almost white. Her delicate features are perfectly chiselled like that of a porcelain doll.  Her eyes are dark brown. Her long shiny, curly dark brown hair falls loosely down her back.  She commonly wears a silk black dress with a long black fur coat.

Background: Xenia was born on the Island of Crete with the birth name Zoe, meaning life in Greek.  She was a quiet child, spending much time by herself for reflection and thinking.  She began to delve into clay as young as 7 years of age, and seemed to possess a natural ability to sculpt.  While she worked on sculptures, she isolated herself from most, even her own family. In time, she was watched by her sire, one who helped her in her work, serving as a mentor. Ecaterina proposed to her the opportunity to pursue her art for eternity, without interference. Zoe accepted, and was embraced as young as 16 years of age. Within some time, she moved to Athens, where she served her sire fully, never once betraying her. She shared the idea of making Athens into a third city, lead by the Toreador, hoping to make it the artistic, cultural capital of the Mediterranean. Her sire kept her away from the wars and conflicts, though she taught her the non-clan disciplines of Protean and Obfuscate. The protean was mainly so she could turn to mist if attacked, the obfuscate to hide her true identity to prevent death if the younger childer uprise.

However, after the Peloponnesian wars, as Athens fell to the other clans, her sire disappeared and so did Zoe. Without the motivation to continue, Zoe fell to torpor in a tomb on the island of Crete, remaining asleep for over 1000 years. She awoke only 6 months ago. She returned to Athens, where she developed a reputation as a clan elder and sculptor, though she kept her real identity hidden.  She has tried to regain contact with her sire, but has yet to locate her place of rest. She took the name Xenia, meaning Stranger in Greek. Perhaps it was her sire's guidance or her own intuition, but she made the trip to Romania, where she is now Primogen as there do not seem to be many Toreador in that area.  Preferring to stay hidden and work behind the scenes, she has taken the position as she cannot bare to see the Clan Toreador lack decent leadership, as her loyalty to the clan prevails, she will hold the position until the clan is stronger there and there are others to take it. However, she knew the Prince Alexei from previous contact. She took with her several ghouls, who know more of modern times than she, and arranged for an estate there. With much assistance from her ghouls in terms of negotiating modern business and such, she has acquired control of the arts in Vistalski as well as a Casino. During this time, she still fears someone finding out her true age as well as identity, fearing someone would take her blood and soul. Though she seems openly to have a friendly personality and leadership, Xenia rarely trusts anyone and is hesitant to get too close to others. She still does not use modern technology; finding it intimidating, she relies on her ghouls and others for such work. She has yet to embrace any childer, and has no intentions to for now. Her ultimate goal is to serve her sire and assist her in awakening.

Roleplaying Hints: Curse that thrice-damned Alexei!  If he had only managed to keep a loose eye on the state of his affairs, that upstart warlock would have never taken his throne and caused such a loss of face for your beloved clan.  Nevertheless, the Tremere is doing a good job supporting the city and respects your clan.  You can keep on working with him, for now anyhow.  Though you must never forget that should your true age and bloodline be discovered, you would be set upon and devoured and you certainly aren’t going to entrust some Tremere with that knowledge.  After all, look what they did to the Salubri!
