... it's July 2003, and I'm still looking for members!!
"Welcome..."
"Sorry, I'm a little ahead of myself. My name is Amy Munroe... I'm sorry Michael isn't here to greet you, he's away. On bussiness. Right now you're in the Second Chance shop, discounted fixed-up items. This is where I work, though now I pretty much run the place. This is also the 'unofficial' welcoming place for our kind... oh, you don't know?"
That's how you might be greeted in the City of Holden, at the Second Chance Shop on the corner of Happiness Ave and Orphan Street (I'm not joking - those really are the streets!). Obviously, Amy Munroe is a created character, but Michael is obviously representing Michael Jackson in his movie "Moonwalker". This is a role-playing page, meaning that you, if you desire, will take on the role of a Moonwalker (or if you wish - a normal person who has no knowlege of what a Moonwalker is).
A Moonwalker is a being with extraordinary abilities, channeling energies from a greater force of supernatural energy, which is called the Cosmic Dance. Moonwalkers are born with the ability to channel the energy ("Moonwalker Magic"), but it often lays dormant for the first 13-18 years of their lives. They are kindhearted, generally speaking, and child-like in their demeanor. However, evil Moonwalkers do exist.
How about learning what a MOONWALKER is?
And then we'd have to estabolish a few rules
Hey! Check out a few of these moonwalker powers!*NEW*
How about how to MAKE a moonwalker?
And if you're a bit confused, here's a short list of definitions.
The other day as I was chatting in an MJ fan room, people began to talk about... well... they weren't very polite. This was a room of 11-17 year olds, mind you, on this paticular general server provided by a certain internet access company. I had to speak out against it, since I feel things that belong in a bedroom should probably stay in a bedroom, and found myself baraged with outrageous claims of lust and love. Love is not lust. Yes, I did find Michael attractive physically, but that isn't why I loved him. It's the intense stare, the way he moves, the way his boundless energy releases itself on stage... it's not about going onto different sites and clicking his crotch for a closeup.
Understandably, physical attraction is a human attrabute, but is THAT sort of thing really necessary?
To paraphrase Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Jackson is a gentle, almost child-like being of immense intellegence, understanding, and awareness.
How about treating him like the person he is? Respect him.
Any similarities of the characters to their real-life counterparts, or persons living dead (OK, I HAVE to add undead here) is purely coincidental.
