Character Creation Guidelines
- Any newly created character must be created at first level, with 0
Experience Points.
- Each character starts out with double the maximum starting credits as his
class allows.
- Every character starts with 4 ranks in the Profession skill of his
choice. This is in addition to any extra skill ranks that the
character gets as a species bonus.
- A character, once created, must be played once before that player may play
any other characters.
Other Consortium Guidelines
- Game masters are encouraged to follow the rules as set forth in the Star
Wars RPG book closely.
- A short (3-4 hour) adventure should not give any character enough
experience to fully
level up in a party with characters of average party level. About 3 or 4 sessions should be sufficient for a character
to level up.
- All experience is divided by the number of players who started the
adventure, not by the final number of survivors.
- The setting is the Rebellion era. Thus, use of species who were not
found widespread in this era are to be avoided, i.e. the Chiss, Noghri and
Vong.
- If one game master has claim to a specific area, then it would be best to
consult with him before drastically changing the way that area is run.
For example, Gruba the Hutt loans money at 40% interest. Before
changing the rate (or circumventing it by introducing another loan shark NPC),
a game master is advised to consult with Gruba's creator.
