Rules and Info

Actual Rules
- No racial, sexual, or religious slurs.
- Swearing is allowed, but keep it down.
- Stay in character while in the chat, and on the Role-Playing Board.
- If there is something you want to do, that doesn't say you can or can't, ask me about it and I'll consider it.
- Most of what happens in the RPG comes from the players, so BE CREATIVE.
- I am in charge, listen and follow the rules.

Updating
I'll will try to update every week day, if possible. I usually don't have time on weekends, so don't beg for updates, if I can then I will.
You have to remember that things come up, so if I miss an update don't complain and please forgive me. New players will be added possibly the day of or the day after I get their entry form.

How to Play
This RPG is chat based. You contact me or any certified GM and they take you through a session. At the end of the session they tell you how much EXP you get, and anything else.
Although this is a chat based RPG, I also allow actions to be sent by e-mail. This is especially useful when traveling from one place to another and you don't have time to actually RP. When you reach your destination, you will receive EXP.
I will also let you RP on the Message Board.

Jobs
Since you don't start with any money, you should get a job. Insteading ofjust robbing someone, you can have a job that gives out a weekly pay.

Fighting
Fighting is one of the main parts of the RPG. You can either fight people head to head, while both of you are in the Chat. Or you can send in e-mail saying whom your going to fight; the way you fight will be done by taking into account past fights, and by your fighting style.
As for the actual fighting, this is how it?s going to work;
We will be using a 20-sided di, THAC0 and Armor Class.

Example: Mr. X has a THAC0 of 13, Mr. Y has an Armor Class of 8, which means he has a +3 mod.
Mr. X runs up to Mr. Y and knees him in the face////
Mr. X will now roll a 20-sided di to see if he hit.
Since Mr. X has a THAC0 of 13 he would have to roll
over that to hit Mr. Y, but because Mr. Y has a +3 mod, Mr. X now has to roll over a 16 to hit Mr. Y.
If you don't understand that, I will kindly help you.
All right now about e-mail fighting. This is done when you need to attack someone, but don't have the time to actually go into a chat and RP the battle. You will still receive EXP and anything else as usual. In some circumstances I might have to write a battle on the Message Board (just so you know).

You can choose from the following to e-mail fight.

- Sneak Attack: Your standard hit and run. You attack, deal damage, and run before they can attack you. Your identity isn't revealed, but the one being attacked may be able to guess. This can also be used to mug people.
- Ambush: Probably the most popular form of e-mail fighting. You attack an unsuspecting enemy until he drops.
- Suicide Assault: This is when your character attacks a far superior force, gang, or base. It?s usually very painful for the attacker.

Sparring
It?s the single most effective way to get quick EXP. A spar can be between any number of people, but everyone must agree to it. A spar will work like this:
Each player gives up a minimum of five HP points, this will be your HP for the spar, and every player must have the same Spar HP. Each regular attack will do one point of damage, two for each critical. There are ways to do more damage in a spar, such as spar weapons; I'll explain when you need me too. When your Spar HP reaches zero, you lost the spar. You can't e-mail spar.

Training
Self-training is only allowed on the MB. The better you train and RP the more EXP and etc. you will get. Remember to RP good, this includes; where you are training, how you are training, how long, and be creative.
You can also train with trainers. This is the best way to get a big boost of EXP; you may also learn something new. But this is probably the most boring way of getting EXP. While training with a trainer you can not do anything else.

Healing
After the fight or spar, you do not recover your lost HP and your SE doesn't regenerate quickly. To recover lost HP you must either;
- Items: Certain Items will restore health.
- Tech: Some techniques, such as heal, will return HP. At the expense of some SE of course.
- Sleep: The guaranteed way to get HP fully recovered. Sleep usually happens automatically at the end of the day.

Psyenergy
Psyenergy is the most powerful force in this Game's universe. It can be used for almost anything. But its especially useful when fighting. It can add that extra sting to your punch, or it can hurt you opponent as a wave of pure energy. Other then bringing your Psyenergy stat up, there are also other stuff that can add to it. Remember to keep your Psyenergy up and in check, and try not to waste it.

Recovering Psyenergy
- Time: Your PE will return over time on its own, but very slowly. Each real life minute will return one point of Psyenergy.
- Items: Some items help return all your PE, or make it regenerate faster.
- Areas: Some areas will also return your PE like items.
- Sleep: The guaranteed way to get all PE back. Sleep usually happens automatically at the end of the day.
*Note* Psyenergy does not regenerate during a fight.
*Note* There are Inns all over the place. You sleep at an Inn automatically if you have the money and are in the right town.

Status Ailments
During your adventure you may encounter enemies or other things that affect the way your character acts and performs. The follow are these status ailments and how to cure them.

- Poison: Poison takes away HP after your turn. How much it takes away depends on the one being poisoned and the one poisoning. Poison can be cured by items such as Antidote.
- Sleep: Your character goes to sleep and can't do anything for that turn. Usually caused by enemy attack, 50/50 chance of waking up. If not awake by the end of the battle, your characters awakens automatically.
- Delusion: Delusion can because by a couple things, and it may even affect you outside of battle. While you are delusioned you may end up attacking a friend or yourself. It can be cured using items such as Elixir.
- Stun: Stun is usually caused by enemies in battle and can be very dangerous. While stunned you can't do anything and your turn is skipped. The only ways to get rid of stun during battles are by items. If you can survive the battle without dying, stun will go away by itelf.
- Curse: Curse can be caused by a number of things, from enemies to items. What is cursed depends on the curse, some may damage you periodicly, while some may not allow you to use Psyenergy. The only to get rid of a curse is by going to a Sanctum and having the Cleric remove it.
*Note: Sleeping gets rid of all Ailments except Curse.

Guilds
In this world it is important that you have someone that has your back. Having someone at your side can mean the difference between winning or losing, life or death. Although you don't need to be in a Guild, I would like to encourage it.

- The founder of the Guild makes the name
- There must be at least 2 people to count as a Guild
- The maximum number of people a Guild can have is 5

Secrets
Many things are kept secret from the general public. The most common of these is the Location of bases and other hidden installations, there is no subverting this without a very good reason. If you do not want me to tell someone something, let me know.
