Uniriders
Uniriders live on the plains. They are known for their gracefulness, and are normally very friendly toward strangers. The male is higher than the female, like in the herd, and it is not unheard of for a leader to leave his mate for another, though it is rarely done. Like wolves, a unicorn will go his/her whole life searching for a partner, and wild unicorns will come to humans.
The unicorns seem like regular fairytale unicorns, except for their colours.
white with crystal hooves and horn: Female. Usually they hold positions high in the herd. The white/crystals can have any type of foal, though blacks are rare and palominos are super rare. When your unicorn gets pregnant, I'll tell you if you have a palomino. Their riders get a streak through their hair, like the wolfriders, but they don't give any powers.
white/gold: Female. This is the other type of female. They cannot have blacks or white/crystals, and there aren't any known palominos coming from white/golds, but who knows?
Black: Male. These unicorns are entirely black, though some can have a star or other white mark. They are the dominant males and there is often only a few in a herd, normally a father and his offspring. They may mate multiple females, but each will choose only one as his queen. The riders get the customary streak, and some have even been known to have hair that changed color completly. They also give a special power to their riders.
black/gold: Male. When not clearly seen, they can be mistaken for blacks. They only mate one female each, and that is at the permission of the lead stallion. They may mate any female. There are normally many black/golds in a herd.
Brown/gold: Male. These are the lowest ranking males. They, like the black/golds, can only mate one female, and must have permission, but they can not mate with white/crystals. They are about the same amount of browns in a herd as black/golds.
Palomino/crystal: The rarest type of unicorn, they can be male or female and will only mate with another palomino. Even blacks and white/crystals will yield to them. They are considered blessed by the god of the unicorns, and normally have wings.
