RULES & FIGHTING

Section I: Basic Rules

I think we can all assume some basic rules:

  1. Keep cursing and swearing to a minimum.
  2. No disrespecting other players.
  3. If you are losing a battle, or have died, don't whine and complain.
  4. Don't try to fight like you're invincible (i.e. Firing out tons of ki and acting like your energy hasn't even gone down).
  5. And of course, be dedicated, train, and have fun!!

Section II: Character Stats

There are a total of 6 different stats: Power Level (PWL), Health Points (HP), Ki Points (KI), Strength (STR), Defense (DEF), and Speed (SPD). These stats increase as you train more and more.

Power Level (PWL): It is an overall measure of how strong you are. Your starting PWL is determined by you race. There are only 2 ways to detect someone's PWL. You can use a scouter, or use Ki Sense, if you have that ability.

Health Points (HP): It is how much damage you can take before falling. This is equal to 75% of your PWL. If you reach 0 HP then your character falls out of any transformed states and are rendered unconsious. If you reach -5% of your PWL in HP then you have died.

A note on healing. There are many ways to heal your character, one of them is through natural rest. You can recover 1/2 of your HP per day. If you have a place to rest (i.e. a Capsule House), then you can heal all of your HP in one day.

Ki Points (KI): This is how much energy you have to fight. It is equal to 50% of your PWL. Punching and kicking don't take much KI but energy (ki) attacks do. If you reach 0 KI then you cannot do anything. If you wish you can recover your KI; This is done when you sacrafice one of your turns in a battle (if your not in a battle for 5 mins straight, not training, and you are at 1/3 ki ) to replenish 1/5 your ki.

You have 13 points to distribute among your STR, DEF, and SPD. 1 point = 1% of your PWL. Thus if you give 5 points to STR, then your STR is equal to 5% of your PWL.

Strength (STR): How strong you are. Your STR determines how much damage your physical and energy attacks do.

Defense (DEF): How much damage you can take before feeling the pain and actually subtracting damage from your HP. To find out how much damage you can take before subtracting from your HP, divide your DEF by 2. For example, if your DEF is 2,000 then you ignore 1,000 damage from every single attack made on you.

Speed (SPD): Obviously how fast you are. SPD plays an important role in fighting.

Section III: Training

Training is where your character acquires most of his PWL. Other factors, such as, transformations, can radically enhance your PWL on the spot. There are several types of ways to train and increase your PWL:

  • Regular Sparring - Sparring is when you have a friendly match against someone. (That means no killing!)
  • Shadow Sparring - Shadow Sparring, a.k.a. shadow boxing, is where your spar by yourself and basically attack thin air.
  • Gravity Training - Training under gravity means that you are training (sparring or shadow sparring) under many times the Earth's normal gravity. This can be done only in the Gravity Chamber.
  • Weight Training - This type of training requires weighted clothing. Training with weights means that you are training (sparring or shadow sparring) with some sort of wieight attached to your body. This is similar to gravity training, in that your body is weighted down, and is forced to adapt to the knew weight the body has to handle, making one stronger.
  • Meditation - This form of training involves the mind rather than the body. You get into confortable position (i.e. standing, sitting, levitating, etc.) and put your mind in a serene state, essencially taking your mind into its "happy place."

To train your character, log on to a chat depending on whatever planet your character is on. Then enter your actions in some form of brackets, like so:

  • =Goten fires a Kamehameha at Trunks' Masenko=
  • *Goten fires a Kamehameha at Trunks' Masenko*
  • (Goten fires a Kamehameha at Trunks' Masenko)
  • [Goten fires a Kamehameha at Trunks' Masenko]

You can use other types of brackets, those are just some examples. You could even combine brackets making: -=, /[, ][. It's up to you.

Try to be descriptive in your training. Don't type in "=Goten does push-ups=" then wait one hour and type in "=Goten leaves=", and expect your PWL to increase. This is an RPG (Role Playing Game), emphasis on ROLE PLAYING. Did Vegeta in the series ever just do pushups to train (even though that's what he told Cell)? Of course not! He was practically bouncing off the walls. In short, be descriptive.

Section IV: Fighting

Each person in a battle has an attack turn and a defense turn. Whoever has the highest SPD goes first. Obviously, one attacks in their attack turn, and one defends in their defense turn. During a fight you must post the amount of STR/DEF and SPD you are using after each attack or defensive manuever. For example, "=Goten uses a KMH wave= STR 400, SPD 500." If your just sparring, however, then you don't need to post stats at the end of your line. Attention: You can die in a spar/fight, as long as, it is not training-related spar. If you're good, you must run on snake way for 3 days to get to King Kai. If you're nuetral, you choose to goto King Kai or hell. Needless to say, if you're evil, you go to hell.

Slots: Whether you are attacking or defending, you use a certain number of slots for your actions. You start off with 4 attack slots and 3 defense slots. Different moves require different amounts of slots. For example, a regular punch/kick costs .5 slot and a Big Bang Attack costs 2 slots. Once you have used a slot, it is gone until your next turn. (This means if you used a slot in your attack turn, you have to wait until your next attack turn to use it again. This is the same for defensive turns.)

Attacking:
  • Zanzoken: Costs 100 KI, must disappear and then reappear. (i.e. ~Goten phases out, then reappears behind Kid Trunks kicking him in the back~.)
  • Zanzoken out of sight: If you are within 4,000,000 SPD or faster than of your opponent, you can Zanzoken out of sight, giving you an extra attack slot. This "zanzokening out of sight" costs no blocks.
  • Attacking with a Combos: Combos are just stringing multiple attacks together to form one line of attack. You simply attack, subtracting slots as you go.
  • Kick and Punches: Direct physical attacks at an area of the body (face, gut, back, etc.). Each hit does full STR, but actual damage is your STR minus half of the enemy DEF.
  • Ki Blasts: You make these, aim, and describe the action. (i.e. "~Goten creates a ball of Ki and launches it at Kid Trunks' head~.")
  • Ki Beams: One charges these attacks, then fire them. Depending on what attack you are using, it may require several turns to charge. Most of these attacks can be charged then fired in the same line, but some, such as Final Flash, must take 1 or more turns just to charge
Defending:

To defend against an attack, you must use the same number of slots that created the attack. So if you want to duck under a punch, then you must use .5 of a slot since the punch itself costs .5 slots)

  • Blocks and Dodges: This is the most basic defensive manuevers. They can be used against almost anything.
  • Counter Attack: You attack in the same chat line you defend (i.e. "=Goten moves his head to one side, avoiding the kick, then strikes Kid Trunks' gut with a quick punch="). You can counter an attack at twice the cost the original attack's cost, meaning, if you want to counter a punch (.5 slot), you must use 1 slot and to counter a Kamehameha (KMH) Wave (2 slots), you must use 4 slots.
  • Reflect Ki: If you are close to your opponents PWL, you can smack his own Ki attack back at him. This is not considered a counter attack.
  • Disintegrate Ki: You stick your hand out and when the Ki attack hits, it evaporates into thin air, with no damage to you. This costs the same number of slots as the original attack. You can do this only if your PWL is equal to or greater than opponent's PWL.
  • Cancel Ki: When a KI attack is fired at you, you return with your own, blowing your opponent's attack up. Your attacks cancel if they were fired at the same STR. So if Goten and Trunks fired Kamehamehas at each other, both at 1,300 STR, then the attacks cancel out and blow up when they meet. If you or your opponent's STR was greater, then your attacks don't blow up, and a Ki Duel results (see below for Ki Duel info). This costs the same amount of slots as the attack, only you can choose whether you subtract from your defense slots, or your attack slots on your next turn.
  • When Opponent does a Combo: Here is how you can defend against a combo: Defending against a Combo: You just use your defense slots to defend yourself.

A Note on SPD. If your SPD is 1.3x your opponent's then they must get hit 1/2 the time. So if you do an 8 hit combo, they have to get hit 4 times. If your SPD is 1.5x your opponent's, then they can't counter, and still get hit hit 1/2 the time. If your SPD is 2x your opponent's, then they can't even follow your movements, thus they can't block or anything, and get hit everytime.

Ki Duels: A Ki duel is when a beam is fired from each warrior. When the beams collide, the stronger warrior's beam inches forward. Each warrior then takes turns adding KI to their beams. On your turn you select an amount of KI you want add to your beam. This amount you add is subtracted from your KI. To keep your beam from losing, you must add equal or more Ki than your opponent did on his turn. This goes on for 4 turns. At the end of the 4 turns the warrior who added more Ki wins. If the Ki amounts are equal then you go into sudden death. The alternative to a Ki duel is to let your opponent blow both beams away, in which he gets to attack right after he does so, regardless of whose turn it is.

Point Blank Blasts: This is when you zanzoken or walk up to your opponent and get in their face basically and fire a blast point blank! You get hurt too... 3% of the str of the attack is deducted from your HP. EX: OK I get up in Goten's Face with an energy doing 1,000,000 STR I take 30,000 hp of damage.

Death: When you die in a spar to the finish, or regular battle(you die by getting ur hp at -5% or less(if your hp goes below -5% due to an energy attack your body is vaproised (unless it was a thin ki beam like finger beam or ki blast, well anyways now you can't even be burried!!) , otherwise ur just KO'ed), you will go to King Kai's if you are good, and if you're evil you go to Hell to train with the HFIL guys. If you're neutral you can choose where to go, but once you choose, you stay there. Now both King Kai and the HFIL guys can invite people to their chats, whether the person is good aligned or evil aligned. A few lucky dead people will go to Grand Kia's, Superme Kia's or even Dai-Kaio Shin's chat, if HFIL guys or King Kai have recommened them to train with Dai-Kaio Shin. Though if you goto King Kia's you must spend 3 days taining/running on Snake Way

You can come back to life if you get wished back, or are granted a temporary leave. You return to the place of your death unless wished somewhere else.

Ki Trail: When you are in a battle and your opponent is relatively far away and you are going to fly towards him you want an extra boost of speed right? Well thats what a ki trail is for. Like in the show when Trunks was fighting Cell he was no match for Cell's speed but he did give himself a boost with his ki trails while he was flying. You may use a ki trails speed for the first attack you make during your attack phase. It increases your SPD by 1.4% for that first attack. To make a Ki trail you first need to have your aurora up, after that you can birst into a stronger aurora by expending 50,000 ki(this will form your ki trail). You can also use a ki trail if you need to get somewhere faster.

Aura Clash: This is when you and your opponent really decide whos da man, of course your opponent doesn't have to do this with you.(so you can ask them in a private chat if they want to) You both lock hands and start powering up.(basically making a crater under you) The point of this is to slowyl increase your aurora and your power level until it gets to max(or as far as you want it revealed). The person whos power level is highest after 1 minuet wins the Clash and the other opponent has to skip his next attacking phase. This costs 3,500,000 Ki

EMPOWER!: A DEFENDING character can only do this, unless its in an NPC training session or NPC VS NPC. To a MAX of 20,000,000 you can put ki into a ki attack to have it do the same amount of extra str. EX: Goku jr Fires a Kamehameha doing 31 million str at Piccolo's Ultimate ki beam doing 38 million str. Goku jr can empower the attack an extra 10,000,000 by sacraficing that much ki. bringing the khm wave to 41 million str.

Section V: Managing Your Stats

This section will explain how you can control how much damage you do, how fast you are, etc. First off, decide how much of each stat you wish to use (except HP & KI). Then you simply fight at that amount. So if your STR is 2,000 and you want to do less than 2,000 damage , then lower your STR to say... 1,000, and then you would do 1,000 damage instead. The same applies for DEF & SPD.

So once you figure out how many points you want to give to your STR, DEF, and SPD. For this section lets say I give STR 5%, DEF 3%, and SPD 5%. Then take 5% of your pwl lets say its 20,000,000. So on a calculator do this{ 20000000*.05= 1,000,000} So your STR and SPD is 1,000,000. Now Def {20000000*.03= 600,000} So your def is 600K.

Power increases are simple too. If your pwl is raised by a % then just do the simple equation. Say the pwl is still 20,000,000 and your pwl is increased by 2%.{ 20000000+(20000000*.02)=20,400,000} So your new pwl is 20,400,000.

Now what about controling HP and KI? You will always fight using your full HP and KI amounts.

Section VI: Fusion

Now about fusions. Well you must first have a way to fuse, either by dance, or by earrings. To fuse, you must be about the same size as your partner, and be close to his PL(if using porta earings just add the pwl's together). Once you've fused, you add up all of your stats together then take 75% of that and there is your pwl. It doesn't matter how much damage each warrior fusing has taken. All stats are set to full. Also, the completely fused warrior has the attacks of both warriors who fused and Can also combine 3 of each of their attacks(3 from each character). There are 2 ways to control the newly fused warrior. You can either have one of the warriors who fused do all of the controlling, or you can takes turns fighting (one warrior attacks and defends, then the other warrior takes his turn). Fusion only lasts for 30 minuets so be speedy(except the porta earings which is permanent) That's about everything to know about fusion.

Section VII: Attacks

There are many attacks out there for your character to learn. You pick 3 moves when your character starts out. You can gain additional moves by learning them from other characters, or from masters. To find out who the masters are, go to the Masters page.

You may learn moves from other characters, but only the moves they know. Masters know all of the moves but they have certain moves they specialize in, and have even perfected. If you are learning an attack from another character, then it must be done in descriptive training.

Creating Attacks: You can make up your own attacks just like in the series. You are allowed to create an attack when you transform, and and you may create ONE attack out of transforming (meaning you don't have to transform to create it). Except for humans, who can do this 3 times. To create an attack, just email me a description of the attack, and include its KI and STR. If I like it, you may learn it on your own by training descriptively to do so. If I don't like it, then I will send it back with some changes, and if you still want to learn the attack after changes have been made, then you may. Only you know an attack you create. Meaning that it won't go up on the attacks page for others to learn. Others can learn your move only if you teach it to them.

Section VIII: Tournaments

Tournaments are matches held to determine who the strongest fighter on the planet is. Who will be fighting who will randomly be chosen by me. These are not fights to the death.. BUT!! You can kill someone.. so don't over kill. And you must display your stats while fighting. Here are the rules.

  1. No hitting below the belt
  2. No crying
  3. If you are hit over the sides and touch the ground you are disqualified
  4. If you use Unnecessary force against your opponent you are disqualified
  5. You may touch the tournament wall by the entrance to the ring (like Goku did in Dragon Ball)
  6. If you are a saiyan you may not purposely transform into your Oozaru form if on accident.. whoops!(the full moon would have to be out... such as in the real world) :)
  7. If you are a saiyan you may not self induce a super spike
  8. If you are down for 10 counts

Here are the prizes that you can get at a tourney:

  • All people who enter get there pwl raised by 3.5%(saiyans get 7%) and get $3,500
  • The champion gets the championship belt and $16,500, a bag o beans, and one move taught to you by the guardian of Earth
  • Second place winner gets $6,500 and get taught one move by the guardian of Earth

Section IX:Misc. Stuff.

Tails

Tails are what distinguishes a Saiyan from a Human. The tail of a Saiyan is a great source of power and agony. The tail is the gateway to staying at SSJ3 and Going Golden Oozaru which you need to do before going SSJ4! That is the only bonus to having a tail. There is a down side though!! If your tail is cut off there are only a few ways of growing it back! Tail regrowth which is only once per season. There is also an Item of Bulma's that can do it but not only do you have to pay but you lose Power permanetly. Also when your tail is cut off you permanetly lose 250K of pwl and 1 stamina. With tail regrowth you gain those 2 stats back. For info on Bulma's item go See Brute Ray on the

Section X:Plateaus
