Techniques 12 Eyes/Multiform/Shinshin No Ken 12 Eyes or Multiform as it is commonly called, is the technique used by Tien, in which he splits himself into four different fighters. Each figher can be attack, and fight. The downfall is that his power is also split into four, so each are weaker than the orignal Tien. Piccolo and Cell can also perform this technique. Bakuhatsuha Bakuhatsuha is Nappa's Signature attack, he raises his index and middle finger and point them toward the sky, and this will cause rocks to rise also, and everything near it will be vaporized. Belly Blast This technique is only used by Garlic Junior in the Garlic Jr Saga. He spreads his body out and then a cicle blast comes out of his stomach. Big Bang Attack Big Bang Attack is only used by Vegeta and Veggeto. Performed by putting you hand up in a 90 degree angle, and then charging the attack. It charges fairly fast and then you fire it. The big Bang Attack is one of the strongest in the whole series. Body Change This attack is Captian Ginyu's Signature attack, he yells out "CHANGE NOW!" and then a blast of energy comes out of his mouth extending to the person he is attempting the change bodies with. After changing bodies he gains the strength and the speed of that person but not his attacks. We see this performed in the Freeza Saga, when Ginyu realizes he cannot defet Goku. Breath Blast This is a very strange attack, Nappa, Dodoria, and a couple others use this. It is probably used as a surprise attack. Since Fighters are normally watching the other's hands and legs. So they do not expect a beam of ki to come out of one's mouth. Buku-jutsu/Flying With the concentration of ki energy, it allows the Z warriors to defy gravity and soar through the heavens. Almost every major character has this talent. Even mere Earthlings can acheive this such as Videl. Burning Attack Burning Attack is one of the most spectuacular and coolest moves to watch. Trunks performs this strange pattern of hand movements and then holds his hands toward the enemy, like shown in the image, and then a bright yellow ball of ki launches toward the enemy, it is quite powerful also. Super Volleyball A stupid attack made up by Gotenks, and he peforms it with Piccolo. After Gotenks uses the Galactic Donut attack, he and Piccolo throw Buu around for fun. Piccolo was embarrassed by it but did it anyway. They played a little volleyball until Gotenks spiked the Buu Volleyball to Earth. Change Beam Buu uses this attack quite often on his enemies, it turns the enemy into what ever food he desires. He points his head tail at the object, and he focases and it becomes the food he desires. Controled Rapid Fire Attack This is Piccolo's Rapid Fire attack, but in a sense more suprise is involved and it is better. He shoots many balls of ki at the enemy which all pass him, but when the enemy looks around the ki blasts are all surrounding him. And then Piccolo realeses them and then all go at the enemy at the same time. Cosimic Halo One of Gotenks' insane moves, but this one is actually pretty good. Gotenks points his finger into the air, yelling Cosmic Halo!, and then he begins to wave it around in a circle fashion creating a ring of Ki. The ring is thrown at the opponent and the user controls where it goes. When the user chooses, he can tighten the halo to squeeze the opponent. Crasher Ball An attack performed by Jeice, a member of the elite fighting squad known as the Ginyu Force, the crusher ball contains an awful lot of power. It is a large ball, about the size of a basketball, which is bright in tone, and orange in color. Jeice balances this on one hand, then throws it at his opponent. This is his special attack, and we see him use it against Goku, narrowly missing, but causing enough distraction for Ginyu to gain the upper hand. Death Ball A signature attack of Freeza's he uses this attack repeatedly. It's a spectacular attack, growing from a singular point into a ball the size of a small moon. Unfortunately, it also moves with the speed of a small moon. It easily has enough energy to obliterate a planet. Detonate Gotenks kicks and yells out "detonate" and a few seconds later, the same place he kicks blows up. Daichiretsuzan An extremely fast sharp finger beam which Freeza uses to instantly kill many of his enemies. He uses this on Dende, Vegeta, and Trunks is killed by it from Cell since Cell knows all his moves. Destructo Disk/Kienzan A flat, circular plane of energy, a Kienzan can cut through almost any surface. It has this ability because, like a knife, its edge is very thin. Although the person using this technique generally has more success when they have a higher power level, it also allows weak adversaries to take out strong ones in a single blow. Furiza's Kienzans home in on their targets, while Kuririn's can split into several smaller disks after being launched. Diving X This is Namu's finisher. Namu jumps high into the air and falls down on his opponent with his arms in an X position. Namu knocks out his opponent but hitting them right in the neck. Energy Absorption Certain characters in DBZ can absorb Ki Energy. Actually, there are three of them. Android 19, 20, and Yakon. Android 19 & 20 absorb Ki Energy through the red spheres on their hands. Either by placing their hand on a victim to steal the energy or by touching Energy waves. Yakon, although doesn't actually absorb energy, he eats light energy. And he loves Super Saiyan light energy. And that was the downfall of him, eating too much of it. Eraser Cannon Essentially a mouth beam, this attack is performed by the showoff member of the Ginyu Force - Racoome. He opens his mouth wide, and emits a blast of incredible power, capable of destroying much of the landscape. It is his most powerful attack, and almost kills Vegeta upon him using it. If he would have got a hit, it would have certainly finished the Saiyan off. Eye Lasers This is another surprise attack, two beams come out of the users eyes and go toward the object they are looking at, basicly this attack is very easy to hit with, all you have to do is see your target and aim. Energy Rings Only seen once, Vegeta uses this attack during his fight with Goku in the Majin saga. He shoots 5 rings of energy at the opponent, arms, legs and neck are locked against in place. It proves to be a useful attack, up until Goku uses so much strength that he tears huge pieces of rock out of the wall that he was connected to. Final Flash This is one of Vegeta's last resort move. This attack is Extremely powerful, it can very easily destroy an entire planet. Vegeta spreads his arms to his sides, powering up. Then, when ready, moves his arms and hands next to each other. The palms are almost touching, and the fingers are bent but spread apart. When he is almost ready, Vegeta begins to shake. When ready, Vegeta yells out Final Flash! releasing a HUGE beam of Ki, larger than Vegeta himself. This beam devours anything in the way and is very powerful. The only downfall is that it takes a long time to power it up. Flame Blast Flame Blast, a move from Hell, that only Dabura has. He blows fire out of his mouth just like a dragon does. It makes you wonder what it would feel like to kiss him... Flame Bullet Yet another flame attack only Dabura has. He makes a ball of fire in his hand, then launches it toward the enemy. The flame if capable of burning viturally anything. Galactic Donut Another Strange attack made up by Gotenks. He throws a bunch of rings at the opponent, and they eventually cause the enemy to roll up into a ball. Gallick Gun The Gallet Gun is equivelent to Goku's Kamehameha in the series. He powers up the blast exactly like the Kamehameha, but when he releases the blast, his hands are both palm-forward. The fight between the two ki blasts in the Saiyan Saga, is quite awsome, after a long battle, Goku's Kamehameha overtakes Vegeta's Gallet Gun and it smashes Vegeta into the high heavens. Genki-Dama/Spirt Bomb One of Goku's most powerful techniques, which he learned from King Kai while training in the “Next Dimension”. The Genki Dama (Or Goku's Spirit Bomb in English) is a large ball of energy gathered from every living life source in the local surroundings, which lend him their energy. However, the main weakness that this attack possesses is that it takes a lot of time to gather the energy for a Genki Dama. Whilst he sticks his arms up in the air, preparing to receive all of this energy, Goku is defenseless and open to attack. Hell's Flash One of Android 16's best attacks, the Hells flash is started my removing hands at the wrists. Then huge blasts begin to emit from cannons within his arms. This attack was used to attack Cell who was currently in a deep crater. As he shot the blasts, energy began to explode out of different parts of the ground in that area. Hikou Hikou is flying without using Ki or Energy. Only Andriods 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20, can preform this task. Hokaku This technique, used by Frieza, is used to entrap the opponent in a ball of Ki. Although the Ki ball doesn't hurt the person inside, the user can slam the Ki ball around injuring whoever is inside. The ball can only take so much of a pounding and dissipates very soon. Hyper Tornado Pikkon's special move. He spins around extremely fast, creating a tornado which he controls. Anything in the tornado begins to spin. The wind is so strong in the tornado, it begins to cut the opponent in the tornado. Instantaneous Movement/Instant Transmission The ability of a creature to move from one location to another without the passage of time. This particular technique requires a person to lock on to. Anyone touching the subject when they are phasing to a new location will be teleported as well. Jibaku A powerful explosion that unfortunately kills the user. While you may think of it as the same as Vegeta's suicide technique while fighting Majin Buu, there different things. While Vegetas was an explosion of all his life force, Chaozu's version is literally, just an explosion. It also wasn't enough to kill, or even seriously damage Nappa. Kaioken Devised by the North Kaio (who cannot even perform it himself), the Kaio-ken is a powering technique that enables a person to move faster and hit harder. The technique must be used sparingly however, as the more it is used the more the body of caster becomes damaged. Kakusandan Krillen used This technique during the fight with the Saibamen. He shoots a blast from each hand, controlling the blasts so that they merge and then directs it above the heads of his enemies. Thereupon he splits the blast again into many smaller ki bolts that rain down upon his enemies. A very effective technique which wiped out virtually all of the Saibaimen. Kamehameha Devised by Mutenroshi, the Kame Hame Ha is an extension of one's Ki that is expelled through one's hands. Hand position is generally in the shape of an open clam. The direction of the blast can be controlled in mid-air, and combined with other techniques becomes quite devastating. Ki Shield This move is very useful in blocking fairly weak Ki attacks. The user is surrounded by Ki to protect itself. Kikohou/Tri Beam The user places his hands to form a triangular shape, and then concentrates enough energy to power it up. He/She then rains down on the opponent with blasts of incredible power. It is used by Tien, and is his more powerful attack. The major downside to it though, is that because of its sheer strength, it drains the life force of the user, with the possibility of killing him/her. As long as the user stays alive though, they can fire as many Kikouhou's as they wish. Makosen One of Piccolo's powerful techniques. To power it up, Piccolo squats down and brings his fingertips together. When finished powering-up, Piccolo pushes his arms forward, releasing a powerful ball of Ki. Masenko Gohan's famous Piccolo move. Gohan raises his arms above his head, simulating like an X-shape. Then yells out Ma..sen..ko..Ha! pushing his arms forward releasing a powerful blast of Ki. Mind Control The ability to bend others to one's will. In the manga, only Bibidi and his son are capable of controlling others. However, the target must have evil in their hearts, or else controlling them is impossible (Vegita had reached a stage where good and evil were balanced within him, and thus Babidi could not take full control). Power Ball With the moon long since destroyed (twice), Vegita had to find a new way to change into an Oozaru. The power ball emits light similar to the light produced by a full moon. This allows Vegita to transform whenever he pleases. And yes, that's the official name of the technique according to the Daizenshuu. Rapid Fire A machine gun KI attack, used by pretty much anyone who knows how to form balls or beams of energy. It is fairly powerful, especially if the defender is caught off guard, as many beams can be fired home, and the ones that hit have more power than the last. It is good as a distraction tactic too, firing a few of them before charging up a really big attack to finish it off. The disadvantage is that this attack can take its toll on the attacker, due to the large energy drain. Reecome Kick Recoome naming his dumb attacks. This is a fast and powerful knee blow used by Recoome. Rocket Punch A devastating ranged attack of Android #16, the rocket punch packs an incredible force. The hand does not explode on contact, and can be re-attached after firing. Satan's Ultra Megaton Punch The Ultra Megaton Punch is just for show. It is just Mr. Satan's strongest punch, which compared to the Z Warriors, isn't that strong. Self Destruct The self destruct is Vegeta's ultimate attack. After realizing he couldn't win in his fight against Buu, he decided to use this attack to take him out. Unfortunately after using this insanely strong attack, Vegeta is killed and all that's left is stone. To do this Vegeta expels all of his ki at once, a huge area is destroyed, and anything in the blast is sure to be destroyed. Unfortunately, there was enough of Buu for himself to come back together. Shiyoken This is Tien's technique that allows him to have an extra pair of arms. As you can imagine this would be extremely helpful for hand to hand combat. Solar Flare This technique is originally Tien's. The user puts his hands in front of his face, says "Solar Flare," and lights up very bright, so much that he blinds his opponent. This technique was used a lot throughout Dragon Ball Z. Tien taught this move to both Goku and Krillin, which comes in handy during the fight with the Saiyans. Rocket Punch A devastating ranged attack of Android #16, the rocket punch packs an incredible force. The hand does not explode on contact, and can be re-attached after firing. Special Beam Cannon/Makankosappo A highly condensed beam of energy, the Makankosappo can pierce the strongest of armor. It is cast by putting ones first two fingers on the forehead. The makankosappo is faster than a bullet, but takes a few minutes to charge to a reasonable strength. Stone Spit Dabura's special technique. Dabura spits out his stone spit at his opponent. One touch of his spit on something else will turn that person to stone. It has no effect on himself, though. The spell can only be reversed if Dabura is killed. Super Human Genocide Attack Buu locates every humans ki, then raises his arm and begins launching shots of ki into the sky. These blasts then seek out there living targets. Nearly every human on Earth is killed by this attack. Super Kamikaze Ghost Attack Gotenks' crazy attacks at work here. But this time, this attack is extremely powerful. First Gotenks powers up and yells out Super Kamikaze Ghost Attack. Then he begins to blow bubbles from his mouth. The bubbles take the shape of a Gotenks ghost. This technique actually creates "living Ki," sadly though, they have no brains. The Ghosts explode on contact to anything, usually contacting on themselves. Thunder Claw Pikkon's signature attack. First, Pikkon does a little dance, reaching for his feet then does a 360 yelling out Thunder Flash. Then, he puts his fists next to each other and yells out Attack! firing a huge wave of fire. It's called Thunder Claw, and shoots out Fire. Time Freeze One of the best attacks ever used in DBZ, Time Stop completely stops time for as long as the caster can hold their breath. This is usually about half a minute. Whilst this attack is up, the user may use any energy attacks that he/she wants to, and annihilate their opponent. Guldo is the only one whom we see use this, and he does it very effectively, using it to get himself out of trouble. It is one of his special moves. Tommy Gun Punch The Tommy Gun Punch is just Gotenks' fancy names again. It is just a barrage of fists hitting the opponent. If swung far away, it makes a thunder crackling sound as the fist waves hit the ground and make little holes. Zenzoken Dematerializing and quickly moving to another spot close by. Leaves a silhouette of the person for a short period of time in their original location, causing the "blur" effect. Most major characters in the series have this ability.  |
