![]() Click here for a comparison chart that will assist with training in the forging skill. ![]() Mining is used to gather iron ore from mountains, at level 30 thrallenite ore can also be acquired from mountains. Sulphur crystals and Brimidian ore can be acquired from red crystals at level 45 and at level 70 obsidian and Tallenite ore can be obtained from black crystals. A pick axe is required to mine and can be bought from any blacksmith for 150 gold or made by a forger with 2 iron ingots. To use a pick axe double-click it then select an area on a mountain (or crystal if lvl is high enough). The odds of success are skill/2 and strength/6 plus 38% (base % may be different with crystals). You may find a random jewel while mining that can be sold for various amounts at a provisioner shop. ![]() ![]() Smelting requires no tool but must be done at a hot forge. To heat a forge double-click the bellows next to it, this will keep it lit for 1 minute or so. To smelt the ore double-click it then select the hot forge. The chances of success are based on your skill/2 and intelligence/6 plus 14%. (even less for thrallenite, brimidian, and Talenite) ![]() ![]() Forging requires a blacksmith hammer which can be bought from a Blacksmith for 200 gold or made by a forger from 2 iron ingots. To use the Blacksmith Hammer double-click it while standing next to an anvil and you'll be given a menu of items you can craft. This menu is divided into weapons, armor, and tools and includes the number of ingots required to craft each item. The odds of success are determined by your skill/2 and strength/6 plus the base%. Stonebiter Pick: This item gives a bonus of 10 levels in mining when used and requires 20 mining skill to use. Smelters Gloves: This item gives a bonus of 10 levels in smelting when equipped and requires 20 smelting skill to use. Veldan's Hammer: This item gives a bonus of 10 levels in forging when used and requires 20 forging skill to use. Anvil of Veldan: This item gives a bonus of 10 levels in forging and can be used as a portable anvil.
