The people are known for their almond-shaped eyes, as well as their military prowess.
Saldaean cavalry is the finest in the known world - being able to perform mounted drills with up to 9,000 horses without one horse or rider missing a step.
All wives accompany their husbands on campaigns anywhere except for into the Blight and, although women are not taught the art of fighting, many are extremely adept at using small arms such as knives.
