The pride of Mayene - other than the secret of their oilfish shoals - are the Mayener winged guards. Though they appear ceremonial at first glance, they are indeed a fighting force to be reckoned with.
All nobles from Mayene - due to the threat of Tairen assassins - are trained in single combat and basic self-defense; lords and ladies alike.
